The GFT offers a great cinematic experience , is well equipped with informative material about the screeneings and a very interesting bar to keep things well attuned. Ive been here for a couple of special independent film screenings as well as your regular blockbusters id say you font have to chose between either of them as you can do both in here. Price wise is quite fair and offers unemployment discounts which van be quite helpful and quite frankly is a most needed feature in all type of businesses.

Took my Mum here to see "The Women". It is a beautiful cinema. The guy on the admissions desk was what we Glaswegians call "hawf baked". He showed no interest in being friendly and spoke far too quickly, verging on the dismissive. Paid More

Interestingly restored period building , designed by Mackintosh . Plethora of features in addition to small museum devoted to his and his contemporaries work .
Prices a little on the expensive side but one of those places in Glasgow you have to tick of your list .

The best non-commercial cinema in Glasgow City so far. I is going under renewal works. The selection of movies is great. The only bad point is that the seats are not as comfortable as those of a commercial cinema.

Still one of my all-time favourite venues

Still one of my all-time favourite venues

I love the retro vibe of the cinema, and the endless circa of special screenings available; whether that's for old horror films, anime film festivals, or standard box office releases. There's something for everyone!

As well as being a great traditional film theatre, GFT offer's an extensive range of films that you don't get st mainstream cinemas. After a period of refurbishment GFT now offer's excellent wheelchair access to all areas. Personally, I'm a big fan of Cinema 3.

Places like GFT add a bit of soul to a city - one can step out of the zeitgeist for a few hours and perhaps, if lucky, get a new perspective on the present and the past. Or simply have a good time watching rare movies.

Possibly best cinema in Scotland, one of a dying breed. Independently owned, wonderful Deco building, it's still got a really 'old-timey' feel inside, but not dirty or musty. It shows a wide range of films, foreign language, art, etc. Ticket prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Really nice Glasgow independent cinema that shows a wide range of movies that aren't generally shown at the big chains.
It has a really nice foyer and a newly refurbished bar area which is quite small so it can get crowded on occasions. Ticket prices are reasonable and I'd recommend a visit if you live in Glasgow to support our local independent cinema.

Places like this should be supported. An old fashioned cinema with up to date films. Plenty of room in the seats ( I'm 6ft tall and never felt uncomfortable )

Also there's no hot dog stall or popcorn machine so you can enjoy the film without having to endure

Nicely decorated and small venue usually with a great selection of European films at affordable prices. Usually not packed in the daytime. A short walk from Cowcaddens subway station, and not too far from Glasgow Queen Street Station.
