Nice little place outside the entrance to Glaciers Two Medicine area. They have WiFi and a breakfast buffet. What else does a person really need?

Great location, super friendly and helpful service. Rooms are a little outdated but still comfortable. We could see mountains from our window. Showers were kind of small, but water pressure was very good. We played a game at the pitch and putt golf course out in the front, which was fun. We also ate at the lounge for lunch, which had some very good food. Overall it was a great place to stay for the night.

Let me start by saying Colleen at the front desk was very kind and considerate, and was accommodating to all of our needs. The other woman at the front desk, not so much.
LOUD: Be warned that the walls are incredibly thin and we could hear every word of basic conversations in the next room, and they were not being loud, just talking normally. Unfortunately, we were trying to sleep for a very early wake up. Bring earplugs.
DINNER - AVOID TROUT: We ate dinner at the lodge, which is quite pricey for basic food. Maybe order what waiter recommends, which is mostly beef. I ordered the trout with herbed butter and it literally came with just a frozen chunk of butter sitting on top of the fish. It was still hard as a rock at the end of my dinner so basically ate a plain piece of fish for $25.
The grounds are nice and other workers friendly. Be warned it is an hour drive to either end of Going to Sun from here, but not too far from two medicine. If I had to do it again I would stay a few nights at St. Mary and a few at West Glacier for easier access to everything. We were here because the half marathon finished here. Wouldn't choose it again.

My husband and I got married at the lodge on 09/07/2019 and it was amazing. The lodge was EXACTLY what we wanted. It was rustic and charming. I was literally in awe when I walked in, all of our family and friends that traveled for our destination wedding had a wonderful time. The hotel was very accommodating and the staff was excellent. I saw many reviews of people complaining of the rooms and small bathrooms, but I hardly even noticed. That s the point of being out in wilderness and staying at a place over 100 years old. I cannot wait to come back and make it a tradition to stay here over the next many years to come!!!

Nice enough place but the lodge is noisy. I would probably try another place next time I go to Glacier. Their cancelation policy is not customer friendly so make sure you read it carefully before staying there.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Wi-Fi does not extend into the rooms so good luck if you need to get any work done. Staff is friendly but like the rest of Montana very slow service when compared to the rest of the country. Beautiful scenery, but the trails aren't that interesting. Food is outrageously expensive. The lodge lacks all of the basic amenities of a hotel, (fitness center, TV, Wi-Fi, continental breakfast). But charges a ton of money for tours of the park and horse back riding. Save the money and go to Colorado.

The rooms are basic, but that's ok, you aren't there for the room. You're there for the view from the room and the location and both of those are 5 stars. They think smoking on the balcony will burning the building down which really sticks if you want to enjoy and evening drink and smoke.

Did not live up to the hype, but dinner and music was good. Maybe a poor time of year compared to other reviews. We found other places in town much more welcoming. It's right across the street from the Amtrak station and car rentals, and obviously gets the majority of the tourist traffic. Good menu, good food. A bit pricey, but to be expected.

The lobby and location are exquisite. The room was worse than a motel 6. Paper thin walls, rickety bed, cheap plastic shower curtain, moldy bathroom. Stay away. This place was not worth almost $300 a night.

Bathroom is extremely tiny, nowhere to put anything, afraid to move and knock all the towels into the toilet. Beds are extremely small and one of ours was very creaky. Was given a mountain view room that required going out on balcony and leaning around edge to have a view. You are not staying here for the room accommodations that's for sure.

The Lobby of Glacier Park Lodge is impressive. Unfortunately this all the positives. The room we had was one of the worst in lifetime. The bathroom was small, disgusting and probably not renovated for 50+years. The beds were awful and we left a day earlier.

I'll give this 4 stars only because of it's nostalgia. The hotel itself is nice. You get a feel of being back in the railroad days and the kind of time they lived in back then. Huge timbers support this building and the decoration is reminiscent of that time era. The hotel has a good view if you are on the back side of the building (which I was) but otherwise not so much.
However.... while the nostalgia is nice that's about where it ends. The rooms are certainly dated. Very dated. While I understand and appreciate trying to stay with a lot of the original theme there has to be some concessions made for modern times. The showers in the rooms are so small you will feel like you are in a closet. GREAT water pressure though! There is no vent at all in the bathrooms either. The sinks are so small you can't even fill up a water bottle. No thermostat of any sort in the rooms. The beds are those hard hotel beds you would typically find in a cheaper place. For the money you pay to stay here they should have decent beds.
The food is decent here. The dinner menu is huge but BRING YOUR WALLET because it's not cheap. Nothing is cheap. A simple mixed drink is $16.00! It's expensive to eat at the hotel for sure. The breakfast is just OK. They have a buffet with your typical stuff and you can also order off the menu. Again...nothing to get excited about.
All in all I give it 4 stars. It should be a strong 3 but I give it 4 because of the nostalgia of the place.

It was quite a nice place. There was a historic tour of the area and the hotel staff gave an interesting presentation about it's history. The rooms were old fashioned and the food was very good.
Just the golf club.
Just the golf club.
We arrived late to a family golfing we were 2out of 10 or so. We decided not to golf. We asked about renting a cart just to tag along, we were told 20.oo and no golfing. We agreed and preceded to wait, while waiting a older gentleman approached us and said o no we can't do that, we need to show in our books you paid for the green fee. I asked even if not golfing? He then tried to talk us into just walking along with then who all had carts, not even offering to refund me my money. At this point i was getting upset, I told him no well pay your green fee to, he said that's a lot of money to just ride along. I agreed with that..
He then tried to charge me 40.oo on top of the 20.oo I already paid, so I asked I sit 40.oo or 60.oo? He laughed made another lame joke and acted as if he made our day pleasant.
He did toss in clubs so we didt look like we were just riding around with members of the club not golfing.
We had a geat time with family, but they need a more service oriented staff member. I'd like to see him walk while his buddies golfed.

This is a Bucket List place, meaning I would recommend everyone stay here once & only once. The property is rich in history. The all-wood lobby is beautiful. The hallways and many rocking chairs on the balcony give a sense of relaxation that cannot be found at a national chain. But, the food is overpriced, the value of the room is not so good at $189 & up. Given that this is a 100-year old hotel, we knew not to expect modern amenities such as a closet or bathtub, but the room was flat out barren. Even the Hampton Inn has stock art on the wall.
Other positives: The hotel lobby has free wi-fi. Walking distance to Amtrak East Glacier station, Dollar rental car, and some inexpensive local restaurants. Luggage storage for Amtrak riders & shuttle service for people unable to walk to the train station. Evening live music in the lobby.

Very lacking in basic amenities - there are no elevators in the four floor lodge, no air conditioning, and no dressers for your clothes, so you live out of your suitcase which you must carry up to your room. But the lodge is an amazing example of log structure engineering - the primary supports for the building are massive logs that were 500 years old when it was built in 1912. Amazing!

Our room was on the third floor and since the lodge doesn't have ac units in each room, it was about stuffy. Thankfully, it wasn't horribly hot. We went in July so it's something to keep in mind. The bed is alittle old and therefore stiff, and the bathroom is small. But, it is a historic lodge so that's understandable. The place, however, is beautiful. Service was nice. You can hang out in the lodge or go take walks since your room might be hot. Also, there are no elevators so keep that in mind if you have luggages.

Lodge itself is spectacular, with an awesome location just outside the park itself. The staff are uniformly friendly and very helpful. Architectural fraud of the lodge are stunning. The rooms themselves could use some updating, especially the bathrooms, but this wasn't a huge deal since we spent little time in our rooms. Just too much to go out and see!

Totally a great family experience. They have Wi-Fi, which is nice, and many other amenities. There's so many free things to do here as well, and the veiws are breathtaking. The only thing I don't like is that there was no A.C., and all the outlets in the room are old. So they don't have the 3 prong set up. And wires can sometimes simply slip out due to years of being used. But other than that, perfect.

I was here for a half marathon. I didn't actually stay at the lodge and only used the facilities for a few hours. The resort was nice, the grounds were beautiful and the few staff I talked to were friendly. From my limited experience here, I got the impression that most people would really enjoy their stay here.

Ordered the huckleberry meatballs, Caesar salad, and huckleberry bread pudding. The food was pretty good, service was a little slow, but it was late, and I think they were a little understaffed. The meatballs were especially tasty, but so was the bread pudding. They had a nice gift shop in the hotel, and I would venture to say it s one of the better dining options on the eastern side of the mountain.

This is the quintessential Glacier Park experience. Our room was nice with a semi-private balcony. The bathroom was tiny and badly in need of an update . For the money they charged for a mini-suite, they should provide a bathroom with some modern conveniences ! The food was average. They have a restaurant and a lounge. The service in the lounge was very good, but not so in the dining room . The hotel has stunning views and lots of outdoors things to do.

The lodge is picturesque and features convenient access to the East Glacier entrance. However, at $200+ per night the location is very expensive given the amenities provided. If you stay here, be sure to ask for larger pillows. The towns west of the park provide better options.

Historic rustic lodge on the east side of Glacier. Our room was spacious and clean and had a front balcony where we saw an inspiring sunrise. The lobby area is constructed from giant timbers and has been well preserved. Good trailhead for Glacier National Park.
