Wow. Just WOW! I had a small job, just an over-sized spruce tree that was starting to grow over my sidewalk and some yew bushes that were just annoying. The guys from Giroud showed up on time and just eradicated all trace of the unfortunate shrubs. Ground the stumps and cleaned up so well all I needed to do was a little smoothing and the areas were ready for the grass seed. Yard looks great. Thanks Giroud!
I had Giroud Tree service clean the crowns of several different trees on my property. There was not much change to the shape of the trees but upon closer inspection the tree was cleaned so well that they immediately looked healthier. Within the first week the trees actually looked better and if this makes sense they looked happier as well.

We've been hiring Giroud since we moved into our home 4 years ago. There were a number of trees that were ready to fall down, and Giroud took them out with minimal fuss and bother. There is also a big, and I mean big (60ft+) in our backyard that is sick and Giroud is helping us keep it alive and hopefully bring it back to health. When a tree came down a couple of weeks ago in high winds, Giroud was out the next day to safely cut it down and remove all of the debris. They are the experts that I trust.

We thoroughly enjoyed their work. My only complaint is that they came out over a month after setting up the contract. Despite this, the work completed was phenomenal and i can understand their busy schedule. I would have liked a set date or time frame at the beginning when we first worked out the pricing.
It is easy to reach Giroud Tree and Lawn. They make quick appointments with one of their arborists to come to your property. Eric Rogers has been our contact arborist so he is familiar with our lawn and trees. It is easy to make a plan of action with Eric and he is very clear on what their crew will be doing. Scheduling has been good and clean up is wonderful.
Recently we had more tree work done in our yard. Because of the poor weather over the past year, it took awhile to find the right time to bring bucket trucks into the yard without damaging the property. Erik kept in touch until we agreed on a good time that worked for both of us. It is always easy to communicate and the job gets done right.
Mike was great! I called about an uprooted tree from a recent storm. Mike gave an estimate for the tree removal and also gave recommendations for other trees that will need to come down. He also contacted PECO and handled that aspect of the removal process. I was very satisfied with the service and after the removal it looked like they were never there.

Great company to work with! Came in below other pricing for the removal of 2 trees. They ground down the stump well below the ground so that I could plant anything I needed where the tree previously was. The guys cleaned up everything very nicely before they left. I'll be calling Giroud the next time I have any tree issues for sure
I initially had three companies evaluate a tree in my front lawn. Giroud was the only one that did not casually insist I chop it down for $5k, but rather thoroughly explained why that was not necessary or recommended. I felt like I saved a bunch of money and trusted them instead to evaluate and clear out my whole back yard. I felt they were all extremely professional and knowledgeable; flexible and respectful. I would absolutely recommend them.
Rob Nagy and his crew did an incredible job. Rob responded in a timely way with a same day on site assessment. The work got scheduled for the next day (lucky me) and was completed professionally and as descibed. Clean up was top notch. Giroud has helped us thin and shape our fruit trees for years, last years peach harvest was spectacular. This year they also trimmed and shaped a border bush that had gotten out of hand. You want an arborist, like Robb Nagy at Giroud to guide tree treatment, not just someone who will hack away at any time of year.

Giroud did a great job removing dead wood from the maple and oak trees in our front yard. Without a doubt, I would hire them again. A few of my neighbors also use them, and in fact, because a few of us on my block were seeking their services around the same time, they took the trouble to find a day that worked for all of us and I got a bit of a discount because of it. Mike Chernail was my main contact there, and I found him to be friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. In our initial consultation, I had about a thousand questions and he answered every one, and sent me follow up emails to educate me further on their techniques and products. Pricewise, I found them to be very fair. The two trees they trimmed for us are quite large, and it was about $860 for the dead wood removal. That doesn't include shaping or trimming, which was fine for us. I had checked out two other companies; one would have charged about $1400 (and they certainly seemed knowledgeable and I'm sure worth it, but too much for us), and another would have charged about $450 (I didn't feel as confident in their ability or their representative), and I found Giroud to be just a fair price with service I felt the most comfortable with. I would definitely suggest choosing Giroud to anyone.

My tree was pruned professionally and neatly, not cropped like so many hacks do, destroying the natural shape and growth of the tree. This tree had lost a couple of major limbs during a windstorm and desperately needed to be reshaped. Since it's a pear, it was also thinned to prevent further damage in high winds, and crossing limbs were removed. The result looks beautiful, and now I can't wait to see those buds burst into bloom!
Giroud always does an excellent job! We have been working with them for years and have always been happy with the results. We just had annual tree pruning done. Both the arborist and gentlemen taking down the trees were great. They listened to our concerns, shared their own, and treated our property with care. They gave us tips on some of the remaining trees and bushes too!
We have used Giroud for a variety of projects over the past few years. They removed numerous sickly/dangerous trees when we first purchased our home, they have expertly trimmed trees, and have offered advice on how to best care for other plants in our yard. We also have them apply an anti-desiccant spray to our laurels every winter to help decrease winter burn. We are always impressed with their customer service, the clean-up post-service, and the treatment of their employees. Highly recommend!

After the first nor easter caused a huge tree to fall and damage our home, we were left with a mess of a cleanup of a tree that blocked our walkway and side entrance to the house. Giroud to the rescue. Not only did Giroud s R. Nagey call in the middle of the storm while he himself was struggling to make his way home that stormy Friday, he had a crew onsite by Monday morning to remove the tree and within just a few hours as if it were never there! What a Service! Highly recommend.

I have used Giroud Tree Service for 6 years now and I am very impressed regarding their professionalism, knowledge and kindness. Arborist Erik Rodgers is outstanding. He always gives good advice and always calls after service has been completed to make sure I was happy. Finally after trying 5 different companies we found the very best! Great value for the work performed and completed perfectly! There was no evidence they were ever there! No deep tire marks on my lawn. No complaints from my very particular neighbors! I'm suggesting Giroud to everyone I know.
Called Giroud out for an estimate on removing two large pine trees in our yard. Their quote came back $3,000 higher than two other reputable tree-removal companies in the area, so be very wary . They quoted almost $5k and others are doing the same work - take down trees, haul away debris and grind stumps -- for less than $2k. Maybe they leave gold plated stump grindings behind? I can't figure it out...

I was waiting over 3 months to schedule with other tree services. Giroud took about 3 weeks but it got done well and when I asked if a few things could be adjusted they returned at no additional cost. They really keep their word - if you aren't satisfied they will do their best to make it right. Friendly customer service and scheduling team. I love that I had a direct line to the team lead who could update me on the staus and ETA. Definitely recommend Giroud!
Called Giroud when I needed a tree removed behind my townhouse in Philadelphia. This was a week or two after a major storm hit the region, downing trees all over the suburbs, and all tree companies were backlogged for weeks. My tree was not down and not an emergency but was a nuisance. Mike from Giroud called me back quickly and gave me an estimate, but said it could be weeks to months wait due to the storm. To my surprise, he showed up right away, same week on a Saturday morning and had the tree down by early afternoon. Cleaned up everything nicely. I'm very happy with Giroud.

Unfortunately we were disappointed with the lawn service we received. A prior lawn service company had not helped much and then after a year with Giroud (with an aeration service too) our lawn looks the worse it has ever. Sad, now I guess we have to educate ourselves and do it ourselves as it doesnt seem anyone else gets the job done.

Giroud Tree arrived promptly on the day I had a very large dying Oak tree removed. They performed the work safely. They were skilled in all phases of tree work. They also pruned dead wood out of two other very high oak trees for me, as well as stump removal. They have a certified arborist, equipment for fast large tree work, staff trained in safety, which most tree companies do not possess. The cleanup was immaculate. The staff is friendly, considerate of your property and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend Lou Giroud, if you need tree work.
We have used Giroud many times since moving to the area - stump removal, large tree removal, and most recently tree trimming. Our arborist is clear and communicative (and well versed in the care of trees!) and the guys who come to perform the work are considerate, professional, and very good at their job. If Giroud costs a bit more than another estimate - it very well may be due to the quality of their staff and their work so please take that into consideration when making your decision. It's one you won't regret!
I love Giroud's professionalism. After a consult with their arborist, had 3 large ash trees taken down. All big limbs were lowered by rope rather than dropped so underlying garden was not harmed. Whole area was cleaned up after the take downs and, other than 3 large snags, you would never know anyone had been there. Been using them for 15 yrs for exactly this reason.

Very pleased and was amazed at how efficiently they worked. I blinked my eyes and the tree was down. They did a great job of clean-up. I plan on using them again later in the Spring for a one time yard clean-up/landscaping.
