Very nice hotel with a spectacular breakfast buffet that offers everything and anything. You will not regret your stay here.

The gardens of the hotel are fantastic in size and give you ample privacy to enjoy a day's rest in a sun lounge near the beautiful pool area.

There's an indoor pool as well if the weather turns sour and there are great Day SPA options with steam room, hot room with herbal aromas and more.

The hotel offers free bicycles to guests as it is located away from the town center of Ascona. There are plenty of bike paths to explore and there's also a free regular shuttle into town if you're not too keen to use your own muscles to get there.

E-Mountain Bikes are available as well but those aren't free.

The hotel is close to the lake but not right on the shore. It's a 5-10 minutes stroll to get there. You can also catch the shuttle that connects the Giardino Ascona with the Giardino Lago in Locarno and you are free to use these facilities as you please.

It is expensive but it is a hotel that is a lot less pretentious than the other 5 Star palaces you may find. Just ease into a relaxing few days and do as you please. There are plenty of activities on offer, too. So you won't be bored here either.

Overall a great, relaxing experience that comes highly recommended.

Great hotel with a beautiful outdoor area (terrace, garden, pool). Breakfast was solved perfectly in the pandemic time and dinner is also recommended.

We spent five wonderful days at the Giardino. The food in particular was excellent. Another important thing is that there are enough bicycles so that you can ride your bike at any time and hardly need a car.

Wonderful hideaway with friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Superb service, great food and drinks. A definite must visit if in Ascona area.

Family hotel with lots of children and noise at the swimming pool. The luxury is to be sought especially the price for the rooms they never go that. And to top it off, you are charged 25.- per day for parking. The staff of Aphrodite for me is not qualified and lacks a manager. Tourist hotel

Wonderful atmosphere, great garden, very courteous staff.

Absolutely wonderful! The staff was fantastic, extremely attentive and even went so far as to ship a belonging to our next hotel after we had realized it was left behind. The breakfast was a great way to get ourselves moving in the morning before heading out on one of our excursions, and the concierge had all the information we needed!

Would 100% stay here again, and are already recommending the hotel to friends and family. Can't thank the staff at the Giardino Ascona enough for making it a memorable stay!

Pleasant hotel with good comfort - nice indoor and outdoor swimming pool. A visit to the rest of the ECCO is worthwhile - you will be pampered and served extremely pleasantly. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed in the restaurants! However, our tame and fun-loving 8-month Havanese was guarded by the reception - thank you, it worked very well. The hotel has extremely friendly staff in all areas - Bravo.

Unfortunately the weather was against us. But the operator cannot do anything about that.

The service was excellent, the rooms in pristine condition. The whole area is very atmospheric.
The breakfast buffet was also very extensive.
The staff was very courteous and friendly.

I have no negative experiences to report and have had a 100% feel-good effect. Staff, especially management and the concierge, are fully and completely attuned to the guest with an honest and natural manner. Children are very welcome.

A beautiful hotel with a fantastic garden, spa and pool area, which are maintained daily. The hotel appears in a very Mediterranean style, you almost have the feeling that you are somewhere in a heavenly place in Italy. The location in Ascona is also convincing: away from the city in a very quiet area close to Lake Maggiore, but still central, because you can get to the center or Locarno in a short time.
The suites impress with their furnishings and perfect maintenance. Great attention is paid to cleanliness and hygiene here, even during Corona you feel more than safe here.
The hotel staff leaves nothing to be desired and is very friendly, courteous and personable. As a guest, you feel comfortable in this hotel.

As a longtime guest in the "Giardino" I appreciate the personal and neat atmosphere. Everything you need to relax and unwind from stressful business life (fitness, sauna, pool, etc.) is available.

One of the most premium experience in the area. Two fantastic restaurants (Hide&Seek for a more casual dinner + Ecco for a more refined experience), as well as a fantastic poolside food offering. The service is immaculate and the staff is always ready to help. Breakfast offerings are great and varied. On-site bike rentals allow you to visit ascona and locarno very easily. For golf enthusiasts, there is a course very close.

The service and staff are excellent! Extremely courteous and the focus is on the guest.
Very good breakfast buffet. The entire hotel complex in very good and very clean condition.

The disadvantages: Unfortunately we didn't like the Hide & Seek restaurant in the evening - not our taste - too special. And we were happy to have booked without half board. We were also surprised that there were very, very many noticeable children as guests. Therefore, there are few opportunities to relax comfortably by the pool and enjoy a moment of peace.

In the process of booking and redeeming a voucher, the behavior of the Giardino Group in no way corresponds to the communicated Giardino claim - neither in professionalism nor in customer orientation!

We will forego the voucher and inform the Jelmoli Group about the process.

I will return another voucher for CHF 400, which I won at a Julius Baer Bank golf tournament in 2018, to Julius Baer with a corresponding comment.

The Hotel Giardino is especially popular with foreigners because there is always someone who speaks this language. In the morning until 11 o'clock breakfast which one in the room as well as in the restaurant can take. There is a very large buffet but you can also order such things as egg Benedickt, etc., order. Then you can go to events or swim in the outdoor and indoor swimming pool. For lunch you can eat at the pool bar, the normal restaurant as well as the 2 star restaurant. For the evening you can also eat in these restaurants as well as the drinks at the bar the best cocktails mix. Throughout the day you can also do yoga / Pilates with teachers and go to the Daily Events. You can rent the Giardino Motor Bott, go on excursions with the local hotel bicycles, or take the hotel bus which drives every 2 hours into Ascona. There is also a Frisiur, massages, saunas and wine tasting. There is also a Riesiegen Park. Even for children there is the almost all-day open Dino Club and much more.

Here the guest gets that little bit "extra" that a visit to a five-star hotel is all about. We felt completely at ease.

After being disappointed here 2 years ago, I wanted to give the house another chance.

Has it improved? Yes, 100 percent.

As always, check-in here is very different from that in other hotels. You will be greeted by a receptionist at the entrance and shown into the garden. There is a refreshing towel and a welcome drink there. The staff will take care of luggage and cars. Just take care of the formalities in the garden and you're on vacation.

The room is spacious, very clean and well equipped. Very nice bathroom.

The last time criticized breakfast has improved a lot. The selection is now large again.

The manager himself made the biggest change. The last few stays, invisible, he can now be found in the hotel again and again. He interacts with the guests, which makes everything even more pleasant. Even if it's just a quick hello. I think it's important that the manager is visible.

All around top again, if not even better than before!

Everything was well organized for the difficult C19 times and still remained flexible. We are going again!

I recently went to Giardino Ascona for a short Ayurveda treatment. The reception was super friendly, all employees, be it in the restaurant, reception, room service or the spa, are extremely helpful, warm and friendly. The food was excellent, the Ayurveda treatments were totally relaxing, the rooms were clean and very nice. You can even see the manager of the hotel at the front, which I found very personal and personable. He does not shy away from work and steps in where there is a need. He even drove me personally to Locarno train station. Just great and I will definitely come again! Thank you very much for the wonderful stay. Mille grazie per tutto!

A really nice escape with a wonderful peaceful and very tasteful designed garden and outdoor pool area. Very friendly, professional and well trained staff. 2 pools and a really nice Ayurveda Spa. Restaurant food is great and if wanted the Ecco 2 Michelin star restaurant is just next door.
