Half meatball half sausage on a dutch crunch roll... Delicious and filling.. Got the 9 incher.
No crowd before the noon rush, great sandwiches, super friendly staff.
Friendly staff and good sandwiches. They make a mean half meatball half sausage.
Place was clean, service friendly and quick and price reasonable.
Absolutley fantastic sandwiches! Friendly owner and workers. I try ro stop every time I am in SLO
My favorite grinder location on the central west coast.
This place is bomb! I recommend getting the Dutch Crunch bread it keeps me coming back to Giant Grinder! Any of the sandwiches are delicious, as is the Cajun Mac Salad.
Best Sandos in SLO. They are worth the price. Get the east coast combo with everything on Dutch crunch. It s incredible. It s what they owner brad is known for and his favorite sandwich. Super friendly and tasty food.
Always great for quick and healthy lunch. Excellent costumer service as well.
I always just thought I wasn't a sandwich person... and then I found giant grinder. It is the best sand which I have ever had. While there are more "fun" and good sand which places in slo this is my ole faithful. I always get the east coast combo and it never fails me. While I enjoy one of those offbeat quirky sandwich places from time to time I always come back to grinder. The staff is so friendly, they always get my phone order correct and it's waiting for me when I walk in. They also have a awesome loyalty program. The inside seating is limited but with our beautiful weather sitting out side is a pleasure. Thanks brad and team for all your hard work and your tasty sandwiches!
Absolutely the best east coast style Italian sandwiches in SLO.
Found this place just by chance and boy are we glad we did! Will definitely be back again-- I've got my eye on that meatball sandwich next time.
How about trying wearing your gloves especially when you have a bandaid on Mr sandwich maker
I had a great experience at the shop! Quick order turn around with helpful and friendly customer service. I ordered the albacore tuna sandwich and enjoyed every fresh bite. I'll definitely be back soon for another!
Awesome big sandwiches the East Coast Grinder is soooo good!
The most amazing sandwiches around! Surprisingly, there's a lot of competition in this category for a small town... but you'll always be assured of a good meal at the Grinder.
Their 19 inch sandwich is a great deal. Enough to eat 4 people. Sandwich was delicious and will definitely be coming back.
Great sandwiches and their smallest one can easily feed 2-3 people! Enjoyed eating out on their patio too!
Took 40 minutes for me to get a meatball sub. Food was ok, they lost my order and all I got was an "oops sorry" and turns out they got my order wrong. Had to go get it corrected which took another 10 minutes.
All this on a slow looking day, can't imagine on a busy day. Might as well hit the Subway down the street.
The sandwich and service is the best in SLO, and this is by far my favorite. But at $12.50 a sandwich I simply cant afford to eat here anymore.
I used to go to a Giant Grinder in LA 30 yrs ago and had fond memories. Same owners and same great food in a quaint little deli in SLO. Go and get the east coast grinder and enjoy!
They have a great Dutch crunch role and their NorCal sandwich is superb!
Amazing sandwich..meatball and sausage was crazy good and the people were extremely nice
One of the best sandwich shops in SLO. I've had the Turkey Pesto (my favorite), spicy pastrami, and the veggie, all of them tasted amazing and they're HUGE, some would even say GIANT! The staff is incredibly friendly and the online ordering makes it convenient during these times of social distancing. I highly recommend Broad Street Giant Grinder Shop for anyone looking for a high quality, giant sandwich at an affordable price.
Good location, less crowded than other sandwich shops. Small, but interesting place to eat inside or on the patio
Good food, friendly staff, some indoor seating and plenty of outdoor seating. SoCal combo is a favorite. There is sometimes a wait but, it is very good if you have time. They also accept phone orders.
This is my favorite sandwich place in SLO. It is pricy but you get what you pay for.
Super friendly staff! Great hot and cold sandwiches all around.
I've been meaning to try this place for probably close to ten years and finally did. Boy am I glad I finally made the effort to stop here! The staff was super friendly and very efficient. I came during a lunch rush, but only waited a few minutes while they were cranking out called in orders. Ordered both a cold and hot sandwich to take to my wife for lunch together. They were both delicious. The chicken parmesan had me singing Peyton Manning the rest of the day. I highly look forward to coming back here.
It was good. The staff was friendly and the food was good. It's a small place.
Great sandwich. 1/2 meatball 1/2 sausage is awesome. Beware they only have one register and it can take a long time for you to get an order in. So if you're in a hurry look elsewhere.
Amazing sandwiches! This place is a 100% authentic and you will be very happy you stopped here for a bite!!!
Got the pastrami sandwich on a loaf. Big enough for four people. Il be able to make a few meals out of the one sandwich. It was over$20 but well worth it and it was delicious. Only ate 1/4 of the sandwich. This is what's left of 1/2. Still have another half left!!!
Great little local sandwich place. Nothing like a warm turkey pesto on a rainy day!
One of the best Sandestin town. East Coast Italian is great. Go big or go home
This is a fantastic sandwich shop. The Giant grinder is large enough for two meals or two people, true East Coast sub taste due to their selection of meats, cheeses and dressing.
It's just ok. Just another sandwich shop. Not much flavor.
The Turkey with cranberries was delicious, and they ise Ednas scrumptious breads!! Totally worth it, great vibes
Always good and an old favorite.
However, too much salt today.
Slow, not to friendly, and a poor choice if you are gluten free. For sure I'm not their target customer, but in the age of more and more people that choose not to have gluten in their diet, one might want to have some choices for us GF peeps. The tables are barely big enough for 2--we tried to fit 3 and promptly started spilling stuff off the wobbly table.
There are too many other good choices for a sandwich (Lincoln Deli, Gus's, High Street) and they all have a GF option.
One of my favorite local go to places. If you dont want to worry about getting quality food, come here. I can definatley rely on this place with consistent quality and not have to worry. Recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good sandwich. I normally get the pesto sandwich or the pastrami and Turkey sandwich.
Great service, highly quality ingredients and friendly staff.
I had a hot, spicy pastrami and the sandwich was good. It was an normal size sandwich, definitely not giant, puffed up with lots of ice burg lettuce. The pastrami was tasty and the spicy was definitely there! The crew is very nice and very helpful, and every sandwich is definitely custom made. Good ingredients, Very clean and a good stop for a sandwich. Thank you Giant Grinder.
still served us when closing, great service and the subs were delicious!
Giant sandwich with good fillings, service was fine and prices ok. The giant pickles had a strange flavour though.
Loved the sandwich. Next time I'm getting the one with more meat. I wasnt sure what the sizes meant, I should have got the medium size which comes with more meat. Very good sandwich.
Perfect sandwiches, perfect vibe, this is the place to eat after a good smoke
Amazing sandwiches!! Super premium and fresh ingredients
Had the Turkey Pesto on wheat, the bread was warm, fresh and soft. Sandwich was really tastey and the service treats you like your a family friend.
I just ordered a sandwich for the first time at Broad Street Giant Grinder. I ordered the turkey pesto sandwich. I have never had a worse sandwich in my life. I'm not kidding. This was the worst sandwich I've ever had Ever. I'm not sure what to make of this... did I simply order a sandwich that's not good or is it just not a good place to eat? I'm not sure. It seems like turkey and pesto would be really flavorful considering the ingredient list as well. Plenty of turkey house made pesto tomatoes etc. etc. My sandwich was very dry, and tasted mostly of bread. The toppings were swallowed inside by the bread and seemed like there was almost nothing on it. I've had better sandwiches at Jack in the box. I thought Jack in the box was the worst sandwich I ever had until I ate at this place. I know that's harsh, but at the moment, it's true. Maybe I'll try again one day and order something else, obviously. But for now: two thumbs down. Way down.
I like the place, it's bit on the pricey side, but the food quality is great, so it's worth. I only go there for lunch, I have a few extra nickles.
Bought the turkey grinder today. The only special requests we had was no salt and Swiss cheese. It was large but the bread was super dry - tasted day old - and there was no mayonnaise, oil or anything to moisten the bread. No tomato either. Very disappointing. We will not be back.
Warm welcomes and great food! Definitely worth a try if you haven't experienced the East Coast Combo.
I would highly recommend Giant Grinder. The owner is so nice and personable and he's done a great job hiring people with the same qualities. Not to mention they have the BEST meatball sandwiches in San Luis Obispo by far. And they are huge...I can totally be content splitting a half sandwich with someone. Thank you Giant Grinder!
Very good, well made, traditional Italian sandwiches. The staff was very friendly, and quick to serve. I also liked their extremely diverse drink selection!
If I could marry a sandwich, I would marry one of these.
Best east coast style sandos in town. Good price and their pepper and egg is perfect.
How do you spell delicious?
"Broad Street Giant Grinder"
Today's subs were super tasty.
I got there at 4:45, they say they close at 5, well when I got there the doors were locked it was way before 5 and the ladie looked at me, shrugged her shoulders and continued closing. Won't go here again
Best place to eat. Way too much food for the price. Small town feel.
