Working with Aslan proved to be impossible for me. There were far too many hoops to jump through that other lenders just did not require. Ultimately because of the difficulties I faced dealing with Aslan I missed out on some very solid opportunities. With the market being as it is, this delay really set me back. Perhaps this company will work for you if you're looking to do a refi but otherwise I would advise looking around.

We knew we wanted to refinance and initially went the route of Lending Tree, where I was bombarded by phone calls from companies with whom I was unfamiliar. As I looked at reviews of these unknown companies I was surprised at the poor ratings that the process of closing took 3-6 months or didn t happen at all. There were very few good stories...there were some, but I realized very quickly that I didn t have the time to do all the leg-work needed to refinance in this way.
As such, I reached out to Carrie Gusmus (who helped us with our original loan) after wondering if she might be able to do a refinance. Carrie was quick to respond and had a loan chosen for me in no time, to lock in the low rate. I did the loan application with her on the phone and then pretty well forgot about the loan while her company did all the leg-work. It was such a gift to know that the paperwork was filled out correctly, to know what needed signing on my part and when (which I knew when they sent me emails telling me what to sign), and to have a human I was able to contact with any questions along the way. Carrie called me the day of our closing, which was less than a month from when I called her the first time, to let me know she d be available if we had any questions when the mobile notary came to our house to sign the documents (after hours).
Carrie also pointed me in the right direction to find home insurance with better coverage and a more affordable rate when I mentioned that the renewal of my policy seemed high. Carrie is full of integrity and cares about each of her clients, which is why I highly recommend her and her company, Asian Lending, if you are looking for a trustworthy organization for your loan.
