Good chocolate, but not even close enough for those prices

Love the experience of seeing the Ghirardelli factor. You get to see all the different varieties of chocolates. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you like chocolate a must visit keep in mind it's usually crowded.

Get here early in the day if you can. It get's packed quick. Go figure...their menu is Chocolate, Chocolate and...Oh did you want some Chocolate on your Chocolate?

I really enjoy visiting Ghirardelli square. It's a nice place to show visitors and the entire square smells like chocolate. There's an indoor seating area and you can buy ice cream sundaes and desserts. Personally I think they're too loaded with sugar for a single person, but they're nice to share with friends and family. If you go into the store, they usually give a free sample at the door.

Their product packaging changes with the season so they make nice bulk gifts.

Delicious! All! If you are a lover of chocolate and ice cream, go there.

It was good but the name brand recognition and being touristy means it's overpriced and has rather small portions for something that was rather ho hum.

A walk through Ghirardelli Squat is always a good time.

Great place to stop when in town! Delicious chocolate and ice cream, friendly staff, I had the Knob Hill Chill!

Ghirardelli never disappoints. You can taste the milk in the vanilla ice cream in the sundaes. Very rich. Their hot chocolate is also one of the best I've tried on the west coast.

Too many people and the chocolate is ok, but over priced. Ghirardelli's should have authentic, delisioso, Italian gelato not expensive touristic ice cream.

It's no surprise this place is popular to visit, nice area to walk around. Lots of good spots to take photos. The prices for candy and food are reasonable. They have a little area demonstrating how chocolate is made. You can also customize your own chocolate bar. It's a fun visit.

Awesome touristy place to walk around, try the free samples, and eat absolutely fantastic chocolate and ice cream deserts. This place has been around for years and recently revamped itself, so it s much more attractive and clean. Overall, it s a great place to hang our for a few hours and you can walk close to the water to see great views of the Golden Gate Bridge!

Chocolate factory ! A tour and tasting through the best chocolate factory in California! They have to try them all

This is the classic place to get icecream and sundaes. I've been visiting place for about 15 years and not once has their quality dropped. Get your favorite icecream and enjoy it by the beach! This place really brings out the Christmas spirit too in December.

Amazing Ghirardelli Hot Chocolate as usual. There was quite a long queue when we went and in times of COVID, social distancing norms were loosely followed.

Visited in 2009/2010/2012 Very nice pastry shop, delicious chocolates not bad coffee ... but never like the Italian one, the stratospheric prices $ 10 for two espresso and two croissants ... even empty.

We ordered the signature sundae and it felt so sweet! There are a variety of colourful chocolates in the store, which is a good choice for gifts.

Hot chocolate with excellent cream even in summer, given the average temperatures of San Francisco. Local always very full.

A delicious shop with delicious chocolate in various forms. Steel, liquid or ice.
The shop is located in a shopping center, nice, not too big, I would say intimate. The center is a former industrial complex (first there was a linen compartment, then a Girardelli chocolate factory). The visible clock tower dates back to 1916. Very beautiful location on the Bay.

Meets a, novice, Ghirardelli chocolate lover's expectations. There's the original Ghirardelli store and a larger icecream shop with mostly indoor seating, if you climb the couple of flights of stairs next to this one. Here, the decadent sundaes are large enough to share and you might pick up San Fran souvenirs for a chocolate enthusiast.

Long lines and some wait time to buy their famous Sundae but definitely worth a visit.

One of the best place to visit if you are local or visiting California. I love it.

Fabulous Chocolate Ice Cream
In an old style sl fountain environment

Yum! They did a nice job handling the crowd, getting us in quickly and delivering our food quickly. It was crowded, but the desserts were worth it! Our family of 5 shared the Lands End and the Chrissy Field. Both were delicious but our favorite was the Lands End.

It sometimes gets crowded but it's got a really nice atmosphere and the food is amazing. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the city.

My favorite spot in San Francisco. It's a great place to walk around, with the fountain and beach just below. The shops in Ghirardelli square have some cool souvenirs. There's a place to sip beer and wine... And another to get some hot coffee. The ice cream shop is fabulous!

Great ice cream lots of free samples. It's a great thing do to once in your life. Do go here looking for healthy food obviously one sundae is at least 900 calories. Prime location. No parking.

The chocolate paradise !!! If you are a sweetie (or) you are going to love this place, the best of all is that when you enter they give you a piece of chocolate caloric but occasionally nothing happens especially if you go on vacation

This place offers so much selection of yummy sweet treats and plenty of souvenirs to choose from. You'll fell like your a kid again, just the scent alone makes you want to stick around forever. By just looking at the different items you know delicious.

The place is very organized and staff are very attentive and friendly. Checking out is a breeze and place is observing social distancing, providing hand sanitizers in different location of the stores.

This was a great stop on our trip. Best Hot Fudge Sundaes in the world, great selection of chocolates for purchase, and a display showing how chocolate is made.

You have to come here!!! Their waffle cone dipped in chocolate, filled with chocolate chip ice cream covered with chocolate fudge. Best ice cream I have ever had!!!

Exquisite ice cream, but lousy attention. Not everyone thinks the same, but my family's experience, in that respect, was very negative. We will remember the place for its quality products and the bad attention we receive.
