Tourist trap! Waited in line for almost an hour, order wasn't right. Mediocre ice cream at a very high price tag.

The shops and restaurants on each level makes this a special place to explore.

They have 3 different locations in Ghirardelli Square but this is the main and largest store.

You stand in line and then order your ice cream or sundaes or other ice cream specialties and they give you a number and bring your ice cream to your table. Sit in the back looking out at the harbor and Alcatraz.

They have a huge selection of Ghirardelli candies.

The staff was very nice and everything was very clean. I just wish they had had the peppermint bark in the 40 or 80 count bags and the chocolate Santa's in the 40 count bags.

Getting their freshly made signature hot fudge on a sundae was one of the best choices of my life.

Very good ice cream. Cookies and Cream a must try. Regular tourist attraction with small shops nearby.

Best place in this tourist strip to get your quick chocolate fix. The desserts and shakes are a bit expensive but they are so rich one item will keep two people fueled with a sugar high for a few hours.

It is an easy walk to the The San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park which offers a wide open expanse which is great to enjoy your Ghirardelli desserts while stretching out.

It is also an easy walk to Fisherman s Wharf which offers an endless assortment of stores to shop in.

If you re visiting San Francisco then this is one place you do not want to miss.

Ordered a choco chip shake. Delicious but the store ran out of hot chocolate (31st midnight). Crowded place.

Great place to visit when you are in SF. Went there for two hours just eating and drinking some ice cream and hot coco.

Delicious options. We had a Sunday and other ice cream. They were a great. Also had their mocha Lotte, which is basically all cream and little chocolates the size of sprinkles that melt into the drink. So if you want coffee that tastes like a hot chocolate you will be right at home

We love visiting the Ghiradelli Chocolate Company! It has a beautiful view and CHOCOLATE! The first time we visited it was a pretty chilly evening so we bought a white hot chocolate and it was perfect. The second time we visited we got this delightful chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream dessert. We also bought some pricey souvenirs to bring back to our kids. I wish we lived closer to visit more often, but I don't think it would be good on my wallet or my waistline.

This is a fancy chocolate factory, for sure. It is usually clean, and although it is very popular, it's not super crowded. But most importantly, the chocolate there is delicious! The ice cream is also very good.

Being outside sipping on an adult beverage in the San Francisco brewery beer garden was fine

Got a mocha iced coffee. It was exactly what you'd imagine a mocha should be - pronounced cocoa flavor - the flavor of rich cocoa powder, but in liquid form; no bitterness - just good flavor; hardly any sugar and no artificial sugar taste, yet tasted great, so it left you with no guilt about your drink. Absolutely great mocha coffee drink. I also got a free ice cream because there was a miscommunication with that customer's order and they offered the misunderstood order to whoever wanted it. The atmosphere is great! Clean, elegant, friendly - there was a man to greet folks giving free samples. The employees and especially the greeter were just as you would imagine Ghirardelli employees to be - careful to give you the best experience they could. Very nice store!

Long line had to wait a good bit but the ice cream was worth it.

Great ice cream cones. The place is worth site seeing if you are visiting San Francisco. It s close to the bay and close to the Golden Gate Bridge. Even tho there was long lines, they were pretty quick .

One of the best places in San Francisco for those who like good chocolate. It simply makes you want to buy all the chocolates from the store. You can not choose just one, and the desserts served are perfect for a late afternoon with the wonderful views of the Golden Gate and San Francisco Bay. Love this place forever.

It was really cool watching the chocolate making process. And the chocolate malt was to die for.

I have always loved this place. the ice cream... sundae... banana ship... chocolate smoothies... a paradise for sweet teeth.
