LOVE the GA aquarium. I've come so many times over the years and the updates just keep making it a better and more memorable experience each time. We went later at night this time and unfortunately some of the exhibits were rather dark and made it harder to see some of the animals, but we weren't disappointed as the entire experience overall was just as breathtaking as the several other times I've visited. Highly recommend!

Beautiful attractions but you will never see them. Went early Sunday morning with our kids and it was so crowded we couldnt move it enjoy anything. Basically an exercise moving through small spaces with people touching you on all sides while fighting to look at fish. If you go, go during the week in the morning.

My daughter loves the aquarium! She s only two years old but the small activities, 4D theater, and dolphin show kept her invested! The educational aspect of it all is amazing but the only downside was me feeling bad for the animals but they do look well taken care of!

On our last day in Atlanta we decided to check out the Georgia Aquarium. Worth the visit! First time seeing beluga whales. The tank inside the aquarium is unreal and you have to see it because pictures do not do it justice. This is a must in Atlanta, even if you d not a big animal person. These animals are amazing. They truly did a great job inside.

We took my son here for his 5th birthday. The attractions were beautiful, and seeing whale sharks up close is an amazing experience. Unfourtunatly due to some bad luck, a watermain broke in the aquarium on the day we went, so they had to shut down early. We also didnt get to see the dolphin show because of it, which I heard was worth the whole trip to see. I emailed Georgia aquarium, and they were so nice! They fixed the issue for us and we will be going back

The Aquarium itself and the Dolphin show were a wonderful experience for the entire family. Definitely worth the money. A must see. The food on the other hand was a huge disappointment. The food was terribly salty, overcooked, dry, and way way too expensive. $147 to feed 4 adults and a toddler. We had to throw half of it away because it was inedible. I would give 5Stars to the Aquarium and Gift shop experience, it was wonderful and the employees were so welcoming and professional. But because of the food court, we have to give it 3 Stars.

This place is great for a daytime outing when visiting the city. You can get better deals if you purchase your ticket online. Also going during the week is better because it's less crowded. They have a few shows that are fun to watch. They're nothing spectacular but for the most part they're entertaining. All of the staff are really nice and attentive. They have food courts inside if you want a bite to eat. I didn't buy any of the food so I can't comment on the quality. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town. Overall an enjoyable time as well as being very educational. Definitely good for the kids. For more interesting reviews and places to visit check out @ricklemoinevip

There is so much to do here. They have a lot of cool exhibits and the workers know a lot about the animals that they have. Had a pretty informative talk about otters while we were there and walked away knowing a lot more about sea life.

Overrated! Firstly, it is really confusing to get in. They closed the main entrance because of corona. Second, there was no direction as which way to go so there ended up with a lot of people in one exhibit. I felt very uncomfortable with the amount of people in such a small and inclosed area. The aquarium is all indoors. Save your money, protect your health, and find another place to go.

Very nice aquarium. Its not a huge aquarium, but it has a lot to offer from tours, to educational programs, shows, and dives. I would recommend visiting and helping support the amazing research the aquarium is doing, as well as caring for these wonderful animals.

I've been to a lot of aquariums, and had a "seen one, seen them all attitude" going into it. I was proven wrong early and often. They offer a unique and thrilling experience and there is a ton to see. Fun and informative shows, and very friendly and helpful staff.

A huge array of marine life and educational exhibits. The whale sharks were incredible. Each section of the aquarium includes an informative card that visitors can refer to. Parking is also convenient and affordable. This is a great destination for outings with family or friends.

We visited on the 5th of July and were a little disappointed. It was incredibly crowded despite the Aquarium's website stating attendance was restricted. There were basically no social distancing measures in place and certainly none enforced. Despite masks being required, many people did not follow these guidelines. The actual aquarium itself was very fun and interesting. I think the Aquarium should restrict attendance and actually enforce social distancing rules, similar to the Atlanta Zoo. Overall, I'd recommend visiting at an off time for the foreseeable future.

Little expensive. Average number of exhibits. But worth the visit to Ocean voyage (Whale shark, Manta Ray, sea turtles) My son is an avid fan of sharks so we had to visit this aquarium from Illinois. If you are around Georgia this is your best bet. ~40$ an adult and ~33$ for kids for general admission. There are early bird option before 11:00 am or night owl option after 4:00 pm which is little less. Remember exit 249c for Georgia aquarium. Food is very expensive. Expect crowd. Plan early for parking. Good luck getting parking .

This place is amazing! It was a bit crowded when we were there but still worth it. The 4D shark movie was a nice rest in the middle of the day. I suggest you go later and stay late lots of people were leaving around 4pm. The place is open until 9pm.

This was worth a visit and the cost. I have seen a few shows and movies that were filmed at this aquarium and it was SO cool to be able to see the whale shark exhibit so close in person. It was a beautiful experience and there is nothing quite like it. Their research also speaks to their progressive efforts of sustainability and conservation. I love learning about their rehabilitation of animals in general. Definitely will be going back.

Great Aquarium. Whale Share is a must see. I will also recommend you do the behind the scenes tour. I believe m wife paid under $20 per person. It takes you to interact with some of the workers while theey work with the animals. Great information on how the site is maintained. Must do when in ATL and you should also walk over to World of Coke museum, 3-5mins walk from Aquarium exit. Under $20.00 per ticket per person. Have fun!!!

One of the best aquariums I have ever been too. Absolutely incredible experience, the main tank is absolutely huge and blows away any aquarium I have ever been too. My son had a blast and I can't wait to take him back. They are even expanding!! We definitely will be back.

I love the Georgia Aquarium so much. The exhibits are set up in such a nice way. The animals all look happy and like they are well taken care of. We went to the dolphin show and it was phenomenal. There are no pictures allowed in the show, but you can take plenty everywhere else. I have been several times to the aquarium, but every time is just as enjoyable.

The aquarium entry is like $45 after taxes. It's insane. But dolphin show more than covers it. The dolphin show timings are fixed. Get to know that before hand. Don't miss it. You can save 20% if u book tickets online.
The aquarium is really good, but not as big as chicago's shedd aquarium

The dolphins show was really impressive. So many people would go specially for this show. Be aware that row 1 to 10 are the wet zone bring the raincoat with you so you can sit at front line for the dolphins. Personally I think 11am show is the best because trainers and dophins are more energetic

Its a good aquarium with a few creatures you wont see at another aquarium in the US. That said its mostly on one floor and the number of exhibits are currently limited. The ones they have look great.

The staff around making sure people are wearing their masks is a bit overkill. A person about around every corner. Really? Our tickets are paying for these jobs.

The lady in the main atrium shop was really nice and patient with my wife finding things she wanted. The lady in the exhibit atrium shop with most of the t-shirts was rude amd out of line.

Overall not a bad experience, but i only see a need to go here once.

AMAZING experience, tons to do, just don't go on the busiest of days and you'll be fine (even though we did just that, it was still an easy walk through, just lots of annoying kids not being watched after by parents - at no fault of the aquarium of course). The dolphin show is also well worth it, get the special seating to get in at whatever time you want or you may have to wait for a while!

SHARKS!!! The aquarium has sharks and whale sharks. They re huge! Obviously they have other sea creatures like otters, beluga whales, penguins, seahorses, dolphins, rays, puffins, jelly fish, and all sorts of fish species. They also have hands-on areas to touch shrimp, starfish, and urchin. What I really like about the aquarium is not only is it a great observation of sea life, but it s very informational. There is a tunnel where sea life is swimming around you. This aquarium is so huge and massive it s easy to spend an entire day here. You can plan ahead for scuba diving in the massive tank with all their sea creatures. If you liked this review or any of my pictures, please give a thumbs up

Note: if you start attractions in the morning, this is the 2nd place you can do after World of Coca Cola since they are next to each other and you can park at Cola Cola for $10 for less than 4 hours.
The Georgia museum is open till 9 in summer so you get plenty of time here. The sea lion show is really good. The celebration dolphin has much bigger auditorium so do go there 20-25 mins to get the good seats. You can also buy tickets for reserved seating. Both the shows are really great and fun. First few rows might get wet when sea lions or dolphins splash water on the audience. The huge ocean voyage was amazing to see shark whales, many a days and many other beautiful fish. The food is expensive at the aquarium but good. The fries are yummy.

I visited this aquarium during my stay in Atlanta, GA during the 1st week of August. This is a must visit attraction for anyone! I wish I had my 4 grandbabies with us!

This aquarium is Huge!! 2 floors of funfilled and Exciting things to see. It is an all day tour but well worth it!!! I thought I was at Seaworld, just indoors.

The food in the cafe can be somewhat pricey. Watch how much you stack on your plate from the salad bar. Paying by the pound. However, it is a good salad bar!

Go see everthing!! It is Amazing!!

Highly recommend the behind the scenes tours as you get to see up close the whale sharks, fish, coral, sea turtle, and how everything operates. Our tour guide, Allison, was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly! She welcomed questions and was able to answer quickly. We loved visiting the exhibits after the tour especially with knowing how everything worked. The location is amazing as the coca-cola center is across the courtyard and centennial park was across the street. Easy access and walk from many hotels.

One of the best aquariums in the southeast of USA. It's one of those places you can visit over and over again, constantly changing and expanding all while being environmentally conscious plus they have their own parking garage attached to the building. Also they are in the same plaza as world of coca cola and the civic and human rights center, both a must visit too. Their are no downsides to this place.

Georgia Aquarium is incredible. A lot of things to see, you need a whole day to see it. Dolphins show, Sea Lions, Penguins and Behind the Sea tours are amazing and must visits. You will get to see Shark whales, Belugas and wide variety of amazing sea life. In some segments, they allow to let you touch a fish. It has a nice cafeteria inside. Located in downtown close to Coca-cola and Olympic park. A must visit for all ages.

The Aquarium is always so nice to visit. It is located at the heart of Atlanta, GA. Very common place to visit if you came to ATL. I came here with my family. The parking deck is easily to find, and the price was reasonable. The only thing I see that GA Aquarium can improve is the cafeteria. The food is mostly fried, and seem very unhealthy. There is not much healthy options out there. The drinks are very expensive compare to the quality. Overall, the place can adjust and improve more.

The information about current concerns to marine life were addressed as well as the care they give to ensure soecies health and survival. Very family friendly and a peaceful experience overall.

We went on our honeymoon as both of us are huge aquarium hobbyists and loved nearly every minute of it. The only thing that would make this place better is an option for an adults-only weekend once a month or every other month to enjoy the place without children screaming and running underfoot. A girl can only dream!

I love the aquarium and have been before but I never took the behind the scenes tour. The aquarium was buzzing with LSU and OSU pep rallies. We took the 45 minute behind the scenes tour with Connor and it was the highlight of the visit. The mechanics of the aquarium are incredible and looking at the whale sharks from the top of the tank was mind blowing. Thank you Connor for an incredible tour.

Find Dory and Nemo and their ocean friends at the beautiful Georgia aquarium. Highly recommend going after 4 pm during the week. While most of the shows were over for the day, we were able to wander freely through the exhibits with very few other people. There were virtually no crowds and it took us about 90 minutes to see the aquarium at a leisurely pace.

This aquarium has an extravagant space. We enjoyed the belugas, whale sharks, and dolphin show. These are not typical attractions of aquariums. However, the overall number of exhibits was not any more than many aquariums offer. The price for admission is about double that of many other aquariums we have been to. They offer no discounts, such as homeschool or educators discount. The were fairly strict in enforcing masks, without giving consideration to people's health exemptions. The parking was very cramped in the garage, making it somewhat difficult to navigate in our large family vehicle. There was some construction in one area of the museum and instructions for alternate entry we're not very clear. I am sure this will be resolved upon project completion. This was a good visit but definitely not worth the money.

Amazing. It's super crowd on the weekends, but still cool. I haven't seen the dolphin show since it gets filled super fast. I would recommend buying the reserved seats if you can. The ocean exhibit is always amazing. I could stare at it forever. Just amazing all those giant creatures in the sea.

What an amazing place. Unfortunately it is so busy it's hard to enjoy some of the exhibits. Advice: take your time and don't get forced into rushing through each exhibit. Many of the places are worth waiting a few minutes to get good views. My 4 year old absolutely loved the otters and penguin exhibits. It's probably worth the extra $5 to reserve seats to the dolphin show!

Be patient! Eat before you go!

The aquarium visit was an amazing experience for both adults and kids. The dolphin show was so captivating and so well put that everyone enjoyed every single moment of the show. On the other hand the 4d show was very informative and interesting but the "4d" aspect was just some air and water sprinkles coming at you, which was not the greatest. The underwater walkway was amazing. The size of some of those marine animals, was gigantic, which was really cool to see. Besides that, food hall was definitely overpriced, but its nice to have the option if needed. Overall a great visit.
