I had a great time working for Genius Direct last year, great supportive team and met generally very pleasant customers on the job.
An important thing to note before applying for any Direct Sales job.... You can make really great money but not everyone is cut out for it and it might take some time finding what works for you and your natural sales style. Really, anyone who is a people person, who has some "get up and go" in them and a little bit of persistance, can do as I did and make great paychecks week after week.
I had no problems with management, on the contrary, in fact they were a fun, friendly and motivating bunch that seemed always happy to offer advice, tips and feedback to anyone showing an interest in personal growth or a desire for a consistently fat paycheck. I regularly took advantage of opportunities to practice, we did sales roleplays, process/pitch sharing and other constructive discussions, which always seemed to not only be educational but also entertaining. Oh yeah I never once had a problem getting paid on time, just don't expect a free lunch.
As I mentioned, this type of job can be very financially rewarding with a little persistance and a great attitude, these two traits seem rarer than ever these days, so once again a direct sales job is not for everyone. Don't expect a cruisy, bludgy, "hide from the boss til your shift is over" type of experience. There's minimum wage jobs for those roles. However, if you are a people person and have a desire to grow and succeed, the guys at Genius Direct may have the elusive great paying job that you actually really enjoy! I left to have a baby and start a family, but I'm starting to think that maybe I'll jump back into the field later this year.

Worked on the sales team for 4 months before travelling on. I had a pretty good experience there, met some really nice people on the job. Not as bad as some people make it out to be, you do have to give it some time before making good money.
