I had thee most phenomenal experience with the Fosters at Geneva Financial! Prior to actually getting a pre-approval to have a loan financed, the Fosters coached me. A plan of action was devised on the steps that I needed to take to be approved for a home loan. This process was pretty quick! Once that time happened, Mr. Foster was able to lock in an interest rate of 2.875% for the life of my loan!
After explaining to me how much house I could afford without being house poor versus being house rich, they gave me the maximum amount of what I qualified for. Also extending beyond that, I remember these words of wisdom being spoken to me, Just because that s your limit, that doesn t mean you have to spend it. That became extremely important in the process and I ll tell
you why shortly.
I didn t have a buying agent and Marcus Harris of Brandon E. Breaux Real Estate came highly recommended and I have to say that he completed the missing piece of the puzzle. If I not mistaken, he is a former loan officer as well.
As this being my first home buying experience, I was so impressed with the Fosters and Mr. Harris that I entrusted them with this life-changing/altering experience totally! After the first offer on a property that I scouted for months didn t go through because of a ridiculous counteroffer,
Marcus boldly said to me, I am refusing that offer because we can find a better deal! He continued to explain why. The passion in his voice in regards to my best interest as a client impressed me. If I had ANY doubt of whether he had my best interest in the forefront, that was dissipated! The second home ended until fouling because of the sellers inability to remediate a mold issue. The team coached me again and I was able to save myself from a whopping $62,000 of a headache!!!! On to viewing a third house, more words to remember, YOU ARE SETTLING! That stumped me, but it was true. The fourth house was the charm! We found a home, put in an offer somewhere around 12/23 and closed on 2/11. The closing would have occurred sooner, but thanks to Experian s hiccup, that delayed it. Even with
that GIGANTIC hiccup, the Fosters worked with the underwriters extensively to get me to the closing table! Because of their intense knowledge of every aspect of the home buying process, coupled with AWESOME working relationships with the underwriters, they got t me through that process.
They taught me so much by explaining the reasons for everything they did that l am interested in becoming a loan officer or realtor someday!
