All I have to say is THANK GOD for people like Patrick Bautz, Audra Lyons, and the Fidelity Blue Line team who give everything they have to make sure things work out for their clients! We can t think of anyone who would have worked harder for us locally. They are the BEST there is. They took one of the most stressful situations of our lives and handled it with endless patience, grace, kindness, and the utmost diligence. I came to Russell with Geneva Financial with serious doubts about being able to get a home loan because two previous lenders failed to successfully assist or close my application for a home loan. These previous lenders were not honest about what they can accomplish, like lack of knowledge regarding DPA Programs and another said DPA programs no longer exists due to Covid-19, among other untruths.
Russell not only restored my faith in the way he explained the mortgage application system (I felt like a student in class and eager), he also was very impressive with his professionalism and very timely updates during the entire process at the same time making himself available for questions.
Russell I cannot thank you enough for making this dream come true for me!!!

I wish there was an option for zero stars because Geneva financial deserves it. From the top to the bottom this company is a mess. No communication and no results. If someone does happen to call you back they just blame another person in the company. Working with them has been a terrible experience and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Louis Baca helped us out with our new home purchase, as well as a few other members on his team. Louis and the team were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and FAST. They were able to address all of my concerns in an extremely efficient manner, and went WAY above and beyond my expectations.

This is our third time working with our Geneva Financial Loan Officer Edie Clark. The home loan for this house had many moving parts but Edie was able to find a way to make it work. When we refinance in the future we plan to work with Edie and Geneva again. It was the small things that made it an amazing experience - her willingness to meet us a locations more convenient for us if we had a busy schedule. Great experience! We learned a lot about the housing market and the buying process. We are glad that Geneva helped us get financing but was sad when it was over because we really liked communicating with Dushan and Jenni, our loan officers. They are very knowledgeable, they kept us updated and they responded in a timely manner when we left messages or sent emails. We don't believe we would have gotten this experience anywhere else! It was awesome!

After working through the "box checkers" of other home lenders, DeWy and his team came through and totally exceeded all expectations. They worked hard to ensure we got the lowest rate, moved very fast, were super supportive, all with amazing communication. Went way behind the call of duty. Save yourself some time and frustration shopping around with other big corporate lenders. Next time they will be my first stop for any home loans.

THE WORST experience ever. If I could give 0 stars I would. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Our Loan rep was very nice- but extremely disorganized and caused us to miss our closing date and caused our interest rate to go up. They over promise and extremely under deliver. I had gone through the mortgage loan process before with a different company in 2014 (quicken loans), and expectations and timing were crystal clear. But expect headaches and surprises at every turn with Geneva!

I was selling my existing home and buying a new home. The loan rep confirmed multiple times that I alone would be approved for the new mortgage- and that it was not necessary to have my current home sold- and that it was not necessary to have my fiance as a cosigner. So basically, my current home could be listed on the market, but it didn't have to be closed/sold to be approved for a new mortgage for a new home we put an offer on. It sounded too good to be true! But she confirmed multiple times via phone and email that I trusted her and Geneva.

Three days before I was supposed to close on my new home, my loan rep called to let me know that our supposed "locked in" interest rate went up. She also called to let us know that our current home HAD to be closed/sold before they would approve the new mortgage! Three days to go and they let me know this! I even spoke to the CEO of Geneva, named Aaron VanTrojen, because I wanted to file a formal complaint. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. I wanted an explanation of how and why Geneva dropped the ball. I asked him if the reason it was not approved with three days to go was because my credit score changed. He said, "it is because the company policy is that they will not approve a mortgage, if the customer's current home is not closed/sold first." I asked if this was a new policy- because if this was their existing policy- then I would have been informed about our situation much earlier on in the process. He said it has always been their policy. I asked for it in writing. He said it is not in writing- but in fact- it is a subjective, personal decision which loans could or could not be approved. In other words, he had the authority to push our loan through but chose not to.

Fortunately the buyer of our current home was buying in cash and was willing to bump up the closing date, so we could close on the new home as soon as possible.

NEVER use Geneva Financial unless you enjoy stress and headaches.

Everything went smoothly and very quick to respond to any questions we had.

The process moved along nicely, and Cynthia, my Loan Agent, was always available to respond to questions or study options.
