I honestly want to take this opportunity to thank the staff of ghs from the secretary's guiding the phone calls to the joyful ladies at the front desk up to the Dr and nursing and mental wellness staff you have honestly saved my life i have never been treated as a lesser human being always treated with courtesy and always had my needs and issues addressed promptly. A special thank you to dr. David pyatt he's a tough old Marine comes at you with respect and expects the same but he cares and that's what matters. Thank you

Full of sensationalist psychologist who clearly and obviously lie and spread meticulously false inadvertent information about their patient who they later lie about on paperwork, this place needs a undercover inspector to come in and get this place under control. We are limited as to what we can say on here and how much as well. I would stay away from here, it is a potentially dangerous place, not because of the patient's but the actual doctors there. I'm actual afraid someone who isn't mentally ill who is just seeking therapy will eventually fall into the wrong doctors hands and will have their lives completely destroyed. Please be aware. Believe what I say. Please stay away.

Doctor changed my meds without my knowledge or permission. Everyone has an attitude and are rude.

It s really hard on a person that suffers depression and anxiety to wait over an hour only to find out the person they were scheduled with isn t even there. Not only was an email and text sent for confirmation but also automated call. Someone who is chemically imbalanced has a hard time dealing with these things at the best of times. And we wonder why people don t get proper help in the end

Doctors don t really listen to patients concerns they still do whatever they please

Blatant incompetence and service denial. I have been involved with GHS for a short period of time (less than 3 months). I have been appalled by the misinformation I've received - granted the system is complex but receiving conflicting information makes it 10x worse. Multiple violations of MI Mental Health Code and I suggest anyone experiencing this contact an attorney for assistance. Service denials and the like seem to be common practice and you must fight to get the level of service required from them. They've denied medical care, and when private care was setup, refused to facilitate transfer or let my ward attend. They show no remorse when in violation of laws setup to protect individuals with disabilities and have been successfully sued on many occasions to correct these problems. The bottom line is money and they will seek to allocate as little as possible - actually wanting participants to fall out of the "system" for this very reason. Some useful resources for anyone caught-up with these all to common problems are:

5.) Michigan Mental Health Code

There are laws on the books that protect disabled individuals and I can't comprehend the tragedy GHS perpetuates with respect to not fulfilling legal rights of disabled people.

A great place. Does a lot of groups and events. All mental health services are run through this building plus it has mental health services of it's own. I don't go here myself but I've been to the Christmas dinner/party that they have at the Dort Mall and it was great.
