Very interesting place on the map of Gdansk. I recommend a guided tour with an opening roof above the theater stage. Makes a huge impression. The guide will explain why this place looks so depressing from the outside (I mean the color of the facade). Friends were at the show Shakespeare in Love. According to them, worth recommending.

Unique construction, architecturally interesting block and slightly graveyard facade. The interior refers to the tradition of the Elizabethan theater both in appearance and ... spartan conditions. Simply put - not very comfortable. With the car park in front of the performances it is also different - I suggest taxi or public transport, all the more so because evening dresses in TS do not work well in practice;) Nevertheless - I RECOMMEND.

A great place with great potential. There is a very unique room that creates a completely unique aura. People complaining about hard seats sitting too long in front of TV sets on a comfortable sofa :) worth seeing!

Cinema on the roof is a failure. The screening started with 0.5 g delay. The film stuttered. At the end he turned off completely. People went out in the course of .... I did last until 24:00 but I did not live to see the end of the movie. Organizational flap

Worth visiting with a guide. Something for those interested in architecture (strange interior design :), mechanics (opening the roof with a spectacular explanation), the history of the theater, the view from the roof (usually the panorama of the old town is viewed from a different angle). I also liked the theatrical performances (the Shakespearean ones) - good acoustics and close contact with the actors (although rather not from the 2nd balcony).

I was in Gda sk for two weeks in the summer, among others I visited the Shakespeare Theater to see the show "Happy friends from Windsor". The theater actually looks quite original from the outside, some do not like others, but inside for me - a firecracker! there is no second theater in the country, the place was on the first level (the zero level is places standing right next to the stage) and there were no pillars covering me there, the audience located around the stage creates the atmosphere that no other theater has. Back to art "Happy mates from Windsor" - I strongly recommend it, it's a big satire of love plots played in a very cheerful way, great play of actors of a particular Mr. Tuman :). As for the parking lot ... you can come to the theater by public transport or finally park in the parking lot in the Forum Gallery which is nearby;) for those who want nothing difficult. I strongly recommend and greet the entire crew of the Shakespeare Theater - a tourist from the far south of the country;)

Wonderful interior, nice, atmospheric bar where you can enjoy wine and craft beer, but above all a great place for concerts. I was on 3 concerts and sound and lighting are impressive every time.

The theatre is beautiful but a wasted opportunity. It works well as a place to see how Shakespearean plays were shown, would even be a decent space to have awards or kids performances, but it does not work as a space for a theatre festival, most seats are unnumbered and have horrible view. It has no seats other than the seats in front of the stage that even offer any comfortability. The wooden poles block the view of anyone that gets the seat behind it. It's quite ridiculous to be honest.

To wrap up, the theatre is beautiful but it should be used in some other way than a main space for a Shakespeare festival to take place in.

I recommend classes !! Really great atmosphere, even if there are a lot of people. Diverse performances, a huge theater, in my opinion one of the better and more interesting in Poland, located in a perfect Gda sk location, I recommend that you go there for people who do not even sit in this topic.

This building represents the World-Class Architecture, spectacular concept, well done with precise care of smallest details. You can meet much evidence of inspiration from original, traditional way of constructing the theatres.
The roof opening is a great spectacle itself, and to enjoy an event in this building, under the open sky, is just marvelous. The hall has quite good acoustics, also for concerts.

The most embarrassing "cultural" institution in the city. So much crazy, such a boom and finally we have a building that is not enough to see tons of invisories, it does not serve residents and tourists. Embarrassing repertoire - calendar of events, for example, for April 2018 is a joke. The biggest disappointment of recent years with the objects I visited in the country. Photos in the attachment. Ironically, the theater is touring, not the one you are walking to
Shame Shame Shame

A unique place for lovers of art and good experiences. Looking from the outside, the black, concrete, square building gives the impression of a monstrous building, but the interior, made of wood, hides the true character of this place. Built on the model of the British Elizabethan theater combined with innovative elements, such as a sliding roof. One of the most worthy places to visit in the Tri-City.

Interesting architecture with some surprising surprises. Fantastic service. A guide who knows what he is talking about and is able to get the group interested. Thank you for a great experience.

I do not understand why it was allowed to put this black block in the vicinity of the wonderful architecture of the Old Town. It looks like a prison and not like a theater. Inside, in fact, a modern hall somehow referring to Shakespeare's theater. This property is spread between modernity and tradition. Seats uncomfortable, poor visibility.

I am very impressed with the positives. Beautiful architecture, a brilliant design. I think that there is one of those places that should be permanently inscribed in the calendar of tourist visits. We have something to brag about - I recommend
