A beautiful, though raw in form. On this stage I watched only Andrzej Seweryn's monodrama (great, anyway, but unfortunately I didn't hear every word - was it not such acoustics?). Maybe next time you visit Gdansk, you'll be able to see some great Storm or Midsummer Night's Dream.

A magnificent Shakespearian theater. Modern and designed by an Italian architect. Outside all in blacks brick, inside all in wood, marble and steel. The theater roof opens on occasion. Council of the guided tour (in English), at a low price, because it is very interesting! A must see in Gdansk.

A very architecturally interesting building worth visiting while visiting the old town. As for the performances themselves, they are an interesting and humorous concept of Shakespeare and his love. It is worth noting that in the evenings on the roof of the building are displayed movies for which you have to pay to watch, and the places are quite limited. However, it is worth to go to such a screen not only because of the interesting location but also a good selection of films.

I wasn't there but after the pictures I see nothing special.

But I was in Shakespeare's Globe in England.
The building really looked interesting.
An informative trip.
And a nice pleasant interior.

I do not recommend visiting the theater! It is not possible to return the ticket or postpone the visit due to random reasons! The paid sum (PLN 18) is completely lost, unless we report a change at least 3 days earlier, which can be avoided. Bury!

I was for the first time thanks to the wonderful concert of Hania Rani.
The spacious room, good acoustics, only after 2 hours sitting against a wooden wall and on the pillow, the back hurt badly with discomfort. And a bit too strong air conditioning, it froze a little, so it's worth taking a warmer sweater or sweater :)

Great place, rare architecture and brilliant reproduction of the prototypes of Shakespeare's theater. In addition, great acoustics of the room, it is a pity that there are few real seats - most are galleries, but in the end it is Shakespearean theater, so five stars :)

Exhibited plays are usually very interesting, and the theater itself allows you to feel rich, but uncomfortable seating (a wooden floor, with an imperceptible cushion on it) makes you feel discomfort during longer performances.

The Shakespeare Theater operates in the formula of impresario theater, i.e. without its own acting group. The repertoire is based on four main cycles: Polish Theaters, European / World Theaters, Summer with Shakespeare and Music Stage (concerts). Thus, throughout the year you can watch the best theatrical performances that significantly enrich the repertoire of the Tri-City theaters. Everyone interprets the issues of appearance (a faithful replica of the Elizabethan theater) individually, while undoubtedly it catches the eye next to the Gda sk Old Town. During the performance we have a choice of a seat at the stage (standing) and standing and sitting in the audience. Modernity combined with elements of classic English theater gives a very interesting combination. There are a dozen shortcomings when it comes to the administration of the building, and not quite thinking about some solutions (cloakroom, signs, columns inside, bar downstairs). It is possible that they gave too "free hand" to the author of the project, Mr. Renato Rizzi. The theater has an opening sunroof, while it opens when the weather is good. The ideal option for hot days is the so-called "CINEMA NA SZZEKSPIROWSKI" or outdoor film screenings.

@Nick Usalis Knight First of all the architecture of this building is controversial and not all Poles like it. Secondly Shakespearean Theatre isn't something new and alien in Gdansk. The first one was established in XVII and active until beginning of XIX century. The Grand Synagogue was built many years later. Thirdly it isn't government's role to build or rebuild the temples of any religion.

The most beautiful theater I've ever been to. I highly recommend a visit to everyone, the materials used in contrasting colors make a great impression: white marble, a lot of wood, and the whole building is black outside. Very nice service, good acoustics.
