The Gatesworth has been my grandparent's home for over 10 yrs now. I have so many great memories with them here from weekly happy hours to anniversary parties. It is such a wonderful place for so many reasons but the most important part for our family was was how the staff have always gone out of their way to make these moments special for all of us. I'm so glad my grandparents can live in a community where they are cared for and treated like family.

Parents at GW...and friends of parents there as well .They are first quality. Made the transition for my parents very easy. Staff is friendly. Activities a plenty. Food is terrific. They even have happy hours for residents AND families. My parents love it.

For such an incredibly expensive facility, you d think the staff would bend over backwards to be kind to residents family members and guests. Even at a not-so-expensive facility (hey, anywhere one goes for that matter), one expects to be treated kindly and to be kind in return.

Unfortunately, that s not the case here. I ve visited a few times and it seems like each time I do I think hmm, that was a weird interaction. Was that person just really rude? That came out of nowhere. Did I do something to upset that person? Well, after talking to others about this, I realize it s probably not me.

We are definitely not people who believe we re entitled to anything at all or are used to having help. But the staff here needs some guidance on how to behave with guests.

My mom lives there and though place is nice,y decorated it s very large and has a staff that kind of smiles says yes, but doesn t follow through. If your family member on pill dispersing program watch it. They have so many differ t people filling pills, dispensing pills, no accountability and expensive.

You need to steam clean your CARPETS! We have grandparents living here and have noticed upon entering, that it smells like a MUSTY SOCK! That's inexcusable and sad as it has gotten worse over time. Sincerely hope you clean the establishment especially for those of us who suffer from allergies.

I have visited the Gatesworth many times and have always felt the staff are courteous and the entire facility is beautiful.

My parents spent over 2 years and 250,000 at McKnight Place. While their care was okay the way they treated the family after my family day was horrendous. No call, no card, no flowers. Nothing!!!! I was very disappointed and shocked that an organization of this caliber didn't have a protocol for reaching out to the family after a death. So if all you want is someplace to spend your money, this is it. If you want caring people , don't go near Gatesworth. There are many other facilities out there - and they cost less!
