Good hotel in great area. Nice rooftop bar and pool area. Coffee in the lobby was not hot in the morning.
Nice decor, great staff. Awesome location easy access to different upscale nearby shops.
Nice place. Probably optimal for a younger party client, but just fine for a regular old guest. Quite posh actually.
This hotel is aging not so gracefully. I stayed here for 4 nights and the shower was broken for the entire time. The staff smiled and said they would fix it every day but nothing was ever done. There are newer and better hotels close buy for a similar price that are not falling apart.
Trendy place. Small room. They claimed their email system was down for over 5 days so took me multiple calls to try and get a copy of my folio. Not happy with that customer service.
Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC Hotel is a classy hotel, but is nothing too fancy. Service is great, breakfast is also good, and the rooms are kept nice and clean. In a safe part of town, not too far away from the ferry building and some other cool sites to visit. Our stay was pleasurable and we would come back.
Great atmosphere! However the guy with avaitors (bartender) was rude!!!! Was there on June 3rd 2017! Please get better help! The guy in the bathroom was very pleasant!
Ordered kettle one vodka on rocks with seltzer
It was watered down $18.00
One Prosecco $18
Not coming back I don t mind paying but I know my drinks!!
- Really nice hotel
- Breakfast is ok and overpriced
- Decent gym
I stay at this hotel 3 nights and have nothing to complain , excellent service and the room was impecable, i love the roof top and all the people working on the lobby very friendly and helpful
WONDERFUL hotel! Loved it here. My company typically books me at The Standard, which is also nice but Gansevoort will be my request moving forward! :)
The roof is the gem here and staying will cost you a pretty penny. The location is ideal although I would not swim in the pool :) Check it out on the weekend.
Gorgeous rooftop bar, although the Standard two blocks away is higher and has better views.
Serviceable and otherworldly is where you can get in to this fine room and decent stay.
Drinks were a bit pricey but that's the area, young crowd
A savvy rooftop lounge which ideal for your typical NYC lovers. Highly recommend for those who just want to lounge with a glass of wine and accompanied by an amazing view.
Stayed for a party. Fine, if not super luxurious, hotel in a great location
Very neat, scenic rooftop bar. One of the better "non-exclusive" views in midtown and definitely the best in the Meatpacking District. Drinks are average, expensive, but very generously poured (order the Manhattan if you want to get overserved).
It was ok. Nothing spectacular. Staff was friendly though.
The hotel is well maintained, comfortable, and designed with a sensual theme.
Booked a room at the hotel with my girlfriend, and was hoping to go swimming in the rooftop pool. When we arrived and went to the pool, it turned out the pool was so crowded they wouldn't let anyone else in, not even guests of the hotel! Maybe the hotel could have warned me about that when I spoke to them on the phone and mentioned the pool as my #1 reason for booking my stay there.
The room was small (even the deluxe) and compared to other luxury hotels in which I have stayed, it was overpriced for what it was.
Gansevoort Meatpacking NYC is a great hotel. My friends came to visit me and to explore the city for a couple of days and they stayed in this hotel. They told me about the hotel and I went to see them so I can see the hotel and I was surprised. The staff was so friendly and everything was so clean. They have big rooms and amazing views.
Nice location. Rooms are dark and dated but the Manhattan suite is the perfect size for an active toddler.
Too pretentious for my tastes. The rooftop has nice views and I hear the pool is very nice when open, but at $12+ for a drink with a rude staff and mixed crowd its not a place I go out of my way to visit. The guest rooms are very modern and well put together as would be expected and the location is nice if you are looking to spend a night out.
Great location to many bars & restaurants. Front desk staff could've been friendlier and more engaging as they multitasked and weren't clear with check in process. Overall great room view but a bit noisy and busy with bar on top floor.
Romantic hotel nearby Chelsea. Located at a 5min walk from the subway. Things that I love: most pet friendly hotel ever. We said we were traveling with a small dog. Upon arrival we found food bowls, a bed and a toy for her in our room. The restaurant downstairs offers amazing food, both breakfast and dinner. The rooms has a very nice shower and bathtub. All employees are also very helpful and friendly. Things I don't love: very bad lighting in our room. One light buzzes very loudly, the one in the bathroom won't stay on for very long or flickers. No free coffee or tea, the cups for the espresso machine are 2$ a piece. No option to get breakfast included and the restaurant downstairs that offers breakfast is very pricey. There is a spa on premise but we received very little information about it, no pamphlets in the room and no information on their website. Be prepared as well for some loud nights. This isn't something the hotel can do anything about but even from the 8th floor we could hear everything that happened on the street, including but not limited to: roadworks at 1am, partying on a Wednesday night, lots of honking and a wide variety of sirens. Overall: great stay of you're traveling with a pet but at $400 a night very expensive considering that doesn't even include breakfast or at least some coffee in the room.
Nice hotel. Adequate sized rooms. Great water pressure in the shower and sink. Just no exhaust fan in the restroom. Also the cleaning service is persistent. Put the sign out or you will be disturbed.
I went to the rooftop bar of gansevoort for my friend's birthday and it was definitely a unique experience. There was a dj and a pool (not in the same place)and while the drinks were pricey, which is to be expected in Manhattan, the tunes and chill ambiance more than made up for it.
Good location, but quite overpriced for what you get.
It's so not the meat packing district of the 1970's & 80's. Very hip, modern and inviting.
I went to a hotel/bar and it was more fun than going to an actual club!
Love this hotel and their employees. My family (two kids, 7 & 5) stay here from time to time as a staycation. Front desk staff is on point and very friendly and accommodating. Shout out to Paul, Melvin and especially Omar. Great place to stay in NYC. Renovated roof was a nice addition! Catch is a great option for dinner across the street.
I've been returning here several times for my visits. The service is always great, and the rims are very comfortable.
Im just trying to call them to get a copy of my hotel bill and they are givijg me the absolute hardest time. They will answer the phone and hang up without even listening to me. Ridiculous. I stayed here for work but i dont think i will choose this place again.
very nice hotel in the heart of my favorite place in New York
Nice atmosphere and great view of the city. Pretty pricey drinks but altogether well worth it!
One of the best lounges in the city. Everything is always amazingly perfect.
Rooms need serious updating. Good location, service, and bar though
Weird noise from the bathroom all day, nonstop. Everything inside the room are expensive. The bottle of water is $9 in the room.
Very trendy and drinks are expensive but the rooftop is amazing and always worth a trip.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The Front desk staff is very professional and accommodating. Security is ever present and aware. Rooftop pool, lounge all so lovely. The views are exhilarating. Everything you could desire in walking distance. Even the Whitney Museum.
Very nice restaurants and great people, pretty busy
I had high expectations for this hotel. It started out well with very friendly staff and trendy lobby. My room looked nice. Unfortunately all of the bed linens had a faint smell of vomit. Since it affected all parts of both beds, I figured there was no point in reporting it. The shower had an intensity range from avoid the face to hurricane and a temperature range from uncomfortably hot to instant flesh vaporization. The L'Occitane soap was too fancy and smelly for me. I was surprised to find fancy lingerie for sale in the bathroom. Great location--although the streets are under construction and there was an incident involving a very loud and drunk person outside at 3:30am.
What a lovely boutique hotel... In an interesting neighbourhood!
Beautiful hotel in a very good location , one block from Chelsea Market , nice restaurants and shopping.|Hotel has a nice terrace on the rooftop, there is a bar as well, small and simple but good enough to order drinks.|This hotel could be better though, I recommend it mostly for its location.
The place was amazing great wine selection the view is incredible and lets not forget Great service!!
Clean and modern hotel. Very kind staff. My stay was top notch!
Nice venue. Drinks were expensive but stronger than anywhere else I've been.
Room was nice but it was a struggle to find what in the room was complementary and what would be charged for you.
Amazing views from the rooftop bar. Bottle service was well worth the expense.
