Place seemed really nice; it's a little small so it needs to be dedicated to a few things, but casual conversation proved staff willingness to be a help in just about anything, and explore options. Love that in my game store! I'll be going back.

War games, tabletop miniatures, and hobby tools are expensive products, and Armada finds a way to sell these without totally breaking your wallet. There are discounts all over the place, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they will order pretty much anything you need that you can't find in-store that day. Been to many hobby shops over the years, this is among the better ones for sure.

Wow. Amazing specialty game store with very knowledgeable staff. Was looking all over Tampa for a local store that offered Warhammer 40K items. A friend directed me and it did not disappoint. From D&D to classic board games, this store has it all.

As a dice junkie, I have traveled to game and comic shops all over central Florida. Armada is really my favorite shop around for their dice selection. They have way more than what is actually on display at that. They will also special order minis for you, and not charge you a ton for doing it. The main guy that works there is nice and pleasant to deal with.

Always an epic experience! Great atmosphere, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and I always find something that I didn't even know that I was looking for until I saw it! Highly recommended.

My experience with Armada Games has been fantastic. From the day this closeted geek walk into there to nowadays running games I have had nothing but satisfaction. The first time I went there I had just watched the community D&D episode and wanted to learn to play. Super smart employee and all around great guy Josue introduced me to DnD adventures league which is played every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at 7pm. I timidly went to my first game and was welcomed with open arms. I was given a crash course by group there and jumped right in. Novices are so welcomed here. Ever since I have been coming religiously to get my fix. They play board games on Mondays, MTG multiple times a week, 40k, Age of Sigmar, Xwing. Everything. More dice and miniatures than you ll ever need. Metal dice, chessex, trays. They specialize in reaper. Michael therecan order what ever you need, they ve gotten me a hard to find RPG book and some nifty specialty dice. This is a good hub for the tabletop community in Tampa and if you are in search for a game shop, don t hesitate to stop by.

Very friendly and helpful people working there. Thou can bring in your own food sand drinks, but they have great prices and selection on snacks and drinks there. Low prices on game books and lots of gatherings for all kinds of games.

It s a wonderful place to play a multitude of games at. The staff is incredible and if you re looking to purchase anything they have very fair pricing. I have been going there now for 6 years and I love it.

Went to this store in April to buy the Pandemic 2nd edition board game, one of the staff was rude and insisted there was no such thing! After showing him evidence to the contrary he refused to speak to me anymore- I left and bought it at the Comics Club (they knew of it's existence). I've given this place too many chances-if you don't play magic they don't want to have anything to do with you. I've been taking my money elsewhere since.

I ve been going here for a little over 10 years now. The staff have always been incredible. The store has a ton of room for plenty of people to play whichever game that they are into and there are always events going on.

Armada never disappoints. Active groups of hobbyist frequently fill the store and gaming areas. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. There is a great selection of board games, miniatures, dnd content, dice, card games and more. They also stock a great selection of miniature paints and supplies for your needs. I will forever try to support this store every chance I get. Thank you for creating the awesome Armada community that you have, and for consistently delivering to your friends and customers.

When i first got into MTG i did a booster draft here and it was so fun! Slowly over the years ive lost touch with people to play with, over these past 2 months ive been meeting others who play and ive sent my deck list too 3 different shop and then finally sent it to Armada games and they have everything i wanted. Armada games is a shop i send all of my MTG friends without hesitation. Great shop cant wait for tournaments to come back!!!!

I have loved this store for years, Since I started college nearly as long as they opened. I've bought and played card and board games and had a good time... in the past. This place has gone down hill from the respect of some of its employees. I came in with a box of mostly new cards but full of random cards. I am all but expelled because my bulk box had fakes in it. That's why its in the bulk box, I wasn't sure. I don't play in the competitions. Thank you for telling me; but just tell and don't buy anything other than the new rares with the foils. That would have been fair and respectful. "Whats your name again... Why did you want to sell them?" I will be taking my value cards, more importantly than this bulk box, and to respectful and _plentiful_ competition; whom wouldn't have wasted a non-trivial amount of my life. Goodbye, after so many strikes against all of your non-male customers.

I went in there to poke around and ran into several other gamers I knew from other now-closed shops. The owners were very friendly!!! I asked them several questions about their gaming leagues and got excellent answers. They didn't seem to have a problem with me being there even though I didn't buy anything yet. I will probably start playing 40K on Friday nights soon. It is cool that their entire monthly tournament/play schedule is online and easily accessible...

I suggest you visit this store for a wide variety of tabletop games, helpful service or set up at a table and start your own game. Wide selection, friendly community vibe, Monday night board game night, open late.

I was impressed by the selection and the store itself. Many stores these days have a minimal offering but Armada was a nice change. They had a fair selection in every game type, fair price points and helpful friendly staff. We'll be shopping here from now on.

Of all the stores I have been to in Tampa and other cities over the years, this store s set up to help their customers was the least effective to help their clients. This is the 2nd time I have come here to buy cards. Last time was 120ish dollars. They had me write a list down and then they provided a list of cards they could provide - through that process they ended up missing 2 of the cards on the list I had to take the time to write out. (Those cards were in plain sight). This trip I was going to buy an entire oldschool deck or whatever they had. Can t look through they organized cards to make it fast. (Ok I get it) Can t tell them the cards so they can look it up as I wait. ( don t get that) Made a list without quantities so that I can make adjustments based on what they actually had... The attitude of the clerks (after I stood patiently and waited for everyone of the regulars to make purchases around me) was antagonistic at best. I drove 17 miles to come here and am very active in the magic the gathering community. This shop is reprehensible.

The best tabletop gaming spot in the area! They run several tournaments a week, so be sure to check in if you play Magic, DnD, or any other tabletop game. The store is divided into two sections: the shop, which has all their rule books, miniatures, paints, card games, and dice, and the gaming room which is a bunch of long tables for guest to set up their own games at or attend tournaments at. They sell food and drinks, but don't mind if you bring your own snacks and it's pretty common for people to order pizzas to split among their party. You can actually get a discount if you order pizza at the little joint in the same plaza and tell them you're at Armada. The bathroom is also super clean, and the gamers are super friendly. The staff are all super laid back and welcoming, too, and very kind people. They even let people check out store-owned gaming sets to play in the gaming hall. It's an amazing place that I super recommend checking out if you're into any sort of tabletop game!

Always such an incredible experience going in to this shop. Everyone is friendly and will literally walk away from what they're doing in order to help you with even the most basic questions. The shop also cultivates a friendly environment where even the regulars are willing to help and to give their insights. I have been going to Armada for years for all my hobby and gaming needs, and I certainly don't ever see that changing.

Great atmosphere for tabletop gaming as well as card games. Friendly and helpful staff. Prices for GW miniatures are also cheaper here than the official store! I come here for all my wargaming needs.

I hate to put this out there for the last remaining game store in my region but if this will help the place improve and thrive then great. I have been an off and on patron of this location for a few years now. I've made purchases and I've hung out in the store using the game tables. I've recently been back several times and have had such bad experiences that I feel it necessary to post this review. Customer Service 0/5 The staff is more or less useless. I have never walked into the store and felt like the staff even knew I existed. I'm not a magic the gathering player which is there primary focus (as you can see by the events listed). Two major events happened that just made me feel unwelcomed and that my opinion didn't matter. First during a recent pre-release event my friends and I tried to come in and play board games, specifically one we purchased from that location a week prior. There was no parking (which I will get into below.) I called the store and told them the problem. Said that the coin laundry and the restaurant next door have taken all but two spots in front of Armada. I told the person on the phone and he made excuses and said there is parking in the back. There is, but you have to walk around the entire plaza to get inside. The second event was just a few days ago on a sunday afternoon. My friends and i again attempted to get inside and play. We found parking and when we went in all the tables were taken. Some of them had bags on them, others had armies for table top games. My friends and I made noise about wanting a table and the staff again just ignored us. We left again. I'm not asking for a lot here just to be acknowledged instead of ignored since we are not participating in the events they hold. The only time the staff has ever spoken to me was when they were closing early one night or when I'm buying something. Products 5/5 Great selection. Space 2/5 They seem to have out grown the location and space is limited as I made clear above. Parking 0/5 Parking is a huge problem. During any major events or any weekends the restuarant next door puts out signs reserving spots for there location. On the otherside the coin laundry has signs out. So there is no parking near the store. You try carrying x-wing or any board games from the other side of the plaza or the back. They are not light and are not easy to move that distance. I will not be back to this store anytime soon. I hope they improve.
