Excellent museum but I would have liked to visit it better. After traveling from Peru, which is not cheap at all, waiting in line for two hours to enter the museum, we could only stay half an hour because the employees had an assembly and closed the Museum, they did not allow us or even enter the bathroom, I felt very battered.

Stunning art gallery hosting paintings of the Florentine Renaissance, many of which by important artists such as Botticelli, in addition to the most famous statues of Michelangelo, the piety, the prisons and of course the David that leave you breathless! Recommended "skip the line" ticket to avoid long queues (procedure to follow for a clear and well organized entrance)

I put a star for Michelangelo's David which is splendid. For the rest, 12 euros to spend less time in the museum than in the queue, it's just shameful. Very quickly visited museum filled with works of art superimposed and amassed as in an attic. A shame for Florence.

Though the main attraction of the statue of Michelangelo is very impressive the A/C was not working. Now picture the summer crowd and heat... it was unbearable. Drink plenty of water or get one of those portable electric fans

HUGE queues if you don't pre-book. We didn't, and stood for over 2 hours - and that was April. Heaven knows what it must be like in the summer. Fabulous sculptures and art inside. Work by all the greatest are in there. You must see it.

Well not seeing the Uffizi when you're in Florence is impossible. The price is 12 euros 4 in advance and 8 the ticket, except for exhibitions and therefore the ticket costs more. It is divided into 3 floors with more than 100 rooms to visit and see works by Caravaggio, da vinci, Michelangelo and Botticelli is priceless is a unique sensation. The waiting time is at least half an hour to go up and one of the most visited museums in Italy

If you are a great art connoisseur, you still love it, but simple fans I think will be disappointed. The David is impressive but the rest of the works except for some other sculpture does not attract attention. Very expensive and I would say that they live solely on David ...

It gets crowded at every point of the day, so I would definitely recommend you buy the FirenzeCard to get in the Red Line. There are three lines - the singles, red line and then group line. There aren't noticable signs to help you, but if you're heading from the Duomo, that's pretty much the order that you will see them.

The David is there. If you visit Florence you must go. It's too special to be missed. Go around the David and savor all the small detais, the veins, the tendons, the fingers. Its pure beauty!

The David statue is a must see and extremely impressive. Other than that though, the art gallery isn t worth it. Don t fall for the 35 to 50 euro tours that operators offer outside the museum, as the line only takes 30 minutes to get through and the cost is 8 euros to get in.

Get your ticket online beforehand or take a guided tour-otherwise be prepared to stand in line. That being said, certainly worth a visit not only to see David but also the numerous other marbles and some middle-ages art. Even just David is worth seeing (yes, even if you've see the one in the Venetian in Vegas, the real thing is unparalleled unlike the somewhat disappointing Mona Lisa).

Beautiful but not too large museum, allow 1/2 hours maximum for the visit.
It is strongly recommended to buy the ticket in advance on the official website and reserve a guided tour or if you want to keep costs down the audio guide costs 6 .
Inside you can find the famous David

Nice museum, obviously you have to queue to enter as in almost all museums in Florence, and as in every museum there is the main attraction is in this there is Michelangelo's David. Advice!

Very friendly staff, went on a Sunday around 5pm there was no queues. Lots of different scuptlures and art work to look at. Could spend as much time as you wanted looking at the works on display

A wonderful place for those who like art. A bit of a bad light in the building resulting in poor visibility of some paintings but ultimately worth it. It's really worth spending time there. I wasn't there, at the music museum, so I don't speak. I had a guide - 4 euro more, but she told me very interestingly. I recommend it to those who know Italian. There are also portable guides, but I didn't use them.

Awesome. The entrance to the academy is worth the room of Miguel Angel. The previous sculptures and the David. All he manages to capture with that pile of Carrara marble ... Sitting down to look at him and admire him is something he must do at least once in his life.

A wonderful place, the sculpture of Michelangelo's David is incredible. I think that the rest of the museum is very tarnished, since everything compared to that statue is little. I recommend entering with your eyes closed, looking at the wall and then turning around to observe the great magnitude of the sculpture.

Important and famous gallery for Michelangelo's David, without a doubt not to be missed if you are visiting Florence.
The reduced price up to 25 years is only 2. Due to Covid some parts were closed to the public, but it was still worth it.
I recommend booking your ticket through the website to avoid unpleasant queues in the sun.

What more can one say than stunning. It is highly recommended that you get the Florence Card. We arrived to find massively long lines but because of our Florence Card we were fast-tracked ahead of the others and were inside in less than 10 minutes. If you are shirt on time or do not care to wait hours, get the card.

You are likely here for the David but the unfinished Michelangelos are worth a close look as is the instrument collection.

The Gallery, despite the usual and long checks at the entrance, has an extraordinary beauty: the Prisons and Michelangelo's David, placed at the end of the room, are wonderful works of an exceptional artist.

Exhibition to do ... But you have to buy tickets upstream to avoid an hour of queuing. Michelangelo's David is exceptional! Really ! More than 4 m high and three years of work.
I also really enjoyed the wing of the old instruments.
Florence essential

There was a line but in moved reasonably quickly if you didn't have a ticket. The museum is reasonably small we a wide range of art work. The main piece, the statue of David was magnificent. You could get up close and walk around the entire statue. I would say that this was better than visiting the Mona Lisa

Wow. The statue of David is really awe inspiring. It is a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture created in marble between 1501 and 1504 by Michelangelo. A symbol of strength and youthful beauty. It was the first time that a large scale nude statue was made in the Renaissance since old times. Other works are also great. Especially the unfinished works which shows where we normal mortals see only a stone a genius sees all sort of art.

Unmissable place for art lovers. There is no point in buying tickets through internet sites. Those who say SKIP THE LINE. They cost more than double and usually impose the schedule. If you go an hour before when you want to enter you get in the same place for just over 20 euros

I was here 20 years ago and again I was moved by the statue of David by Michelangelo Buonarroti. Of all that I have seen is the most beautiful work. A marble perfection. Also impressive are the unfinished sculptures of the prisoners, Michelangelo's TB. Going to Florence and not seeing David and going to Rome and not seeing the Pope.

The exhibition is small and most of the things are replicas (in particular plaster statues). It is not worth all the money they ask, whoever compared it to the louvre must never have gone there.

Great.

Michaelangelo's David is the prominent feature of this delightful gallery. The video on plaster creation is informative. Insight into the workings of the plaster model making then marble sculpting industry Florence has been noted for. Marble synonymous with Italy. The Renaissance religious art is also superb. 8.00 Euro at the door. Get there before 10AM to avoid massive crowds in November. The high season I cannot remark on.

Since the mid-1700s the statue of David has been here to facilitate the study of the students of the design academy. Additionally there are more exhibitions, such as a collection of musical instruments belonging to the Medici family. Everything is included with the ticket price.
