Very expensive for afternoon tea very noisy piano music playing prevents any normal conversations

Attended a wedding here, an absolutely first class venue set in stunning, picturesque grounds.

Really nice treat to spoil someone. The celtic sauna thing was really good and the lunch in gillies was delicious.

Very nice staff. Beautiful hotel. Arrived at 3 pm with a queue. When you get to reception, eventually, we're asked if we want to go to the 'deluxe reception' with 'canopies' to check in'??? Next day I asked to have our jacussi by the river delayed by 15minutes. I had a facial at 10am and wanted to enjoy the relaxation suite. NO WAY. We arrived at the spa on time. We got our beautiful riverside spot 10 minutes late.They forgot all about us until 1 pm...a nice perk. We really enjoyed the Jacuzzi. Gobsmacked the 2 Jacuzzis on either side of us remained empty the entire time we were there. Amazing they couldn't have delayed the riverside Jacuzzi. Would we go back? NO.

The price is 5* but that's not what you get. Food is ok nothing extraordinary. Wine expensive for supermarket 6 quid a bottle stuff. Spa is closed to you on check out - they want an extra 20 quid. On reflection it's all ok but give me the Culloden any day.

I absolutely love this place. Birthday, Valentines & Christmas is must have. Staff is extremely friendly, place is very well maintained. Spa is my den.

Top class. Have stayed on two occasions now once for a wedding and more recently just for a get away. Staff are excellent, facilities are top notch, spa is very good, River Room restaurant is excellent. Rooms are a little bland but very comfortable, although the windows on the river view side should have been much bigger to enjoy more of the fantastic view.
On our first stay one of the staff knocked a tray of cocktails over me. The round was comped, my dry cleaning reimbursed and we were given a complimentary upgrade when we returned. It could have been a disaster but they handled it very professionally.
Will definitely return, highly recommended!

Quite simply a superb destination. Every member of staff was exemplary and the food we had was delicious. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her Spa treatment too. Our plan would to return again later this year.

Great spot. Spa is excellent, fratelli fantastic for food. Too many people in the spa on a Sunday though.
