I had an excellent stay thanks to the staff at Radisson Collection Edinburgh. I would like to specially thank Marius and Heather for making the stay the most enjoyable experience as possible. The rooms had an amazing decor and everything in the room was presented well.

I've stayed here regularly whilst on business and have always been impressed with the friendliness of staff and the warm welcome received every time I return. The decor is very modern with bright colours and they are current renovation a number of the rooms. The location right on the royal mile is unbeatable and a top pick during the fringe festival.

Visited at the weekend for a hen party. It was a 1920s theme so we were all looking rather glamorous and sparkling. Thankfully the stylish backdrop helped us get into the swing of things. The decor and design is as expected, modern, brightly coloured and elegant. We had great fun at the cocktail masterclass, expertly guided by the bar staff. French martinis to die for... even the one I created myself! Great central venue with large private function rooms.

Location, location, location! Ideally located on the mile, you're a couple of mins walk from the castle & within walking distance of Grassmarket & the New Town. The hotel itself is modern & welcoming. Greeted with a gin & tonic at check in was a nice touch & the room itself was large with a comfy King sized bed, Nespresso machine, iron & ironing board, TV, rain shower & a lovely view of Arthur's Seat. Staff were attentive & helpful when we asked for restaurant recommendations, the room was serviced each day & overall we had a lovely stay.

As far as an xmas night out is concerned, do not waste your money .
Food was ok ,Would not complain about the service, staff were nice and helpful, where you eat.
But no music where you eat, have to move through to another room ,Dj with an organised list, press play !! .people with glasses of drink on dance floor allowed!! .dropped and glass everywhere now matter how hard the staff tried to clean up.
Disappointing have space make money and abuse the public..no health and Safeway in place.

The rules were very small but the service is really great. I know it's Scotland everything seems to be some other than the US. Around the corner there's a lot of small shops that you can walk and check out and there's a little Street mall at the bottom of the hill. Oh did I say it's a block away from a castle! Very Loco don't have to drive.

Really nice laid back bar, with an extensive cocktail menu. They've got a new section just for Spring with some interesting mixes.

The toilets are a fabulous purple colour with movie make up mirrors with bulbs around them.

Would recommend it as a great cocktail stop off for a quiet chat with someone in a comfortable setting.

My friends had booked via the website for "bottomless brunch" "a three course meal with endless prosecco" for Thursday afternoon. It was meant to be as a birthday surprise for me. On arrival no one knew what was going on. We were given a glass of prosecco and just waited for the food. The manager who was incredibly dismissive and unhelpful then told us our booking was not valid and the restaurant was closed. He simply told us it's not possible and was not willing to offer any compromise. I am incredibly disappointed this their service and they need to look into their website advertisement as this is very misleading.

Our room was nice, clean and over looking the Royal Mile. This was excellent for two people who were visiting during Fringe and not huge on crowds. We could watch the street performers from our window!

The front desk staff was amazing! They were extremely helpful and friendly.

I especially want to call out the gentleman who checked us in. I wish I would have gotten his name. He was a young, long haired French gentleman. Upon check in, he whipped out a map and started circling points of interest and restaurants. He was dead on with his food recommendations. In our entire Great Britain vacation, he was the most helpful person we encountered.

A bit of luxury in our suite. Amazing views. Only down side was the breakfast. It was missing the key essentials that you would expect. I will add that they resturant was under refurb which may have affected the quality and service at breakfast.

The service was amazing; Heather on reception, Simon in the restaurant were both terrific. Food very good. Convenient location as a tourist. AC wasnt working so very hot in the rooms. Decor very confusing - too much going on, no clear personality.

Excellent! We stayed in a great room on the 4th floor with fantastic views over Edinburgh. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The room included a free minibar which had a nice selection as well as a Nespresso machine with a good range of teas and coffee. No peppermint tea but staff delivered some within 5 mins of asking. Breakfast was great too, so much so I didn't eat again for hours. Just cannot fault anything about it so thank you to all the staff for making this a great stay.

You know how sometimes you go on holiday/ mini-break and you're so exhausted from travelling that you can't really bear leaving your hotel room once you reach your destination? Yeah? Well, Hotel Missoni makes it really really difficult to leave and actually explore Edinburgh.

Upon arrival at the hotel, you're greeted by a lovely doorman wearing a Missoni-designed kilt. The reception is designed with all the modern elements and touches - from the funky pendant lights to the hip bar. "Pssssh, yeah, yeah" I hear you say, "but what of the actual rooms?"

Sure, it's a bit pricey but honestly, you get what you pay for when it comes to the rooms. Each room has a nespresso coffee machine which, if you're like me and a totally obnoxious coffee snob, is a welcome change from the usual instant coffee that the British seem to accept quite casually; no offence, I love you guys!

The beds and sheets are lush; the showers are great and of course, the rooms are clean.

I splashed out and opted to get the breakfast the following morning and it was, in a word, intense. I'm a total greedy guts so it was hard to maintain my dignity with the open buffet-style breakfast the hotel had laid out. Yogurt, fruit, croissants and other goodies were all on offer and it was so hard to restrain myself.

Hotel Missoni, you complete me!

5* , y'all!

Wonderful, chic "designer hotel" right downtown in Edinburgh. I stay in many nice hotels but this is one of the nicest ones I've stayed in for years. Reminds me of the W hotels chain in design but slightly less "hip". Works for me.

Excellent, luxurious amenities (lush, black bathrobes, posh black slippers, good toiletries etc). Nice large shower, panoramic windows overlooking downtown streets. Not too noisy.

Super, free WiFi. Plenty of USB plug outlets for device charging in the room (I counted six USB ports in my room, huge thumbs up).

Great and surprisingly well priced in-room dining. Pixel perfect dishes were served promptly and hot.

Ok breakfast: nice hot dishes (1 hot dish of choice included for guests with complimentary breakfast). I tried two different egg based dishes on two different mornings and they were perfect. Cooked on demand, fast, tasty. Rather underwhelming breakfast buffet, but overall ok.

I'll be back!

There are many hotels to choose from, but this was by far the best. We were so happy to stay in a very comfortable, clean, friendly place. We could have easily stayed here for a week (but we were only in Edinburgh for 2 days!). It honestly felt like a home away from home. The best part about it was the location, it was literally in the center of everything and minutes walk to all the activities.

Our room at the Missoni, was situated on the 4th floor with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and stunning views over Edinburgh historic rooftops. Quite a contrast with the modern hotel. The deco is black and white with bursts of colours. The bathroom was tiled in small silver and black glass mosaics. White towels, sink, strategically placed big mirrors and coloured glass panels makes this room very funky. We had the use of new Nespresso coffee machine, Missoni coffee cups, towels, bath rope and the bedding was specially designed for the hotel. The deco is very stylish, daring, creative and full of flair. The service was warm and hospitable. It's a unique experience, a nice treat in a great location. If you are a fashionista this hotel is right up your street!

Rooms were ok. The service was only enough for 3 stars, if at all.
As you can see in the picture, despite three reminders, the breakfast dishes of the previous neighbors stood stinking in the corridor as stumbling blocks for two days.
What a big plus is that the hotel is very nice centrally located.

Good choice and friendly staff. Great restaurant, bar and spa. You can not get a better location than this hotel. It is right at the royal mile and diagonal alley. Be aware that the collection room might not be what is on the picture with the floor to ceiling windows and the view might be the backyard. Also, there was some of noice from the cleaners early morning. Happy with our stay, might just return here next visit to Edinburgh.

Fantastic rooms, magnificent view, only draw back ...

Fantastic rooms, magnificent view, only draw back is the lack of a pool.

My partner and I stayed at the Missoni Hotel Edinburgh during the second week of April. We had a double room booked but were upgraded to a suite for free on arrival. Our bags were taken up to the room by the kilted concierge while we made dinner reservations for the hotel's restaurant, Cucina and booked ourselves in for some spa treatments that evening.

The decor and furniture are all in the typical funky style that the Missoni brand is known for. My partner particularly enjoyed the large spinning sofa chair. From the corridors, to the lift, to the televisions, right down to the custom beds, everything about the place will remind you that you are on your holidays.

The suite was roomy and comfortable with stunning views of St Giles Cathedral and across to the sea. The bathroom is modern and stylish with a rainfall shower and large bath that also benefits from the excellent views across the old town.

Being over 6 feet tall I always appreciate a large bed and I wasn't let down with enough space to accommodate the large trays used to deliver room service orders or sprawl out after walking the enchanting old town all afternoon. There is ample space to hang clothes and store your suitcase in the mirrored cabinets and wardrobes.

At the spa I had a deep tissue massage and my partner had a facial. The services were top notch and the treatments were enjoyable and relaxing, even the robes are quilted Missoni luxury. It was the perfect way to prepare for dinner.

When we arrived for dinner it was our first view of the Italian restaurant. It is on the mezzanine floor and has views of the national library on one side and the historic royal mile on the other. For starters I had the grilled buffalo cheese and tomato jam, followed by the rib eye steak and mashed potato. Desert was Tiramisu and I had a little of my partner's poached pear and almond cake. The food was absolutely beautiful. The service is attentive when you need it and out of sight when you don't. There is lots of room for each table and so the ambience is intimate and perfect for romantic conversation.

Throughout our stay the hotel staff were helpful and approachable. We had nothing but positive interactions with every member of staff and I was particularly impressed with Anne who handled our check in and check out. Her smile and attitude are a credit to the Missoni and her diligence and dedication to helping us enjoy our time in the hotel rivalled that of any staff I have encountered in any of the 5 star hotels I have stayed in across the world.

The only thing missing is a pool but the gym is handy and has all you need to keep up with your fitness goals while on your trip, there is so much to do in Edinburgh and the bathrooms are so well equipped that I you won't miss a pool in any case.

The Hotel Missoni is written up in every single magazine and website as the place to stay in Edinburgh. The location is awesome. It s very central to everything in the old town. You can walk to everything which is great if you re only in Edinburgh for a short stay. The front desk and the bellman are very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are well appointed and Missoni d out from the towels, robe and bedding. We stayed in a standard room which was fine for the weekend. The bathroom was colourful and functional with a shower a sink. The closet was a small, but ok for the short stay. They have nespresso machines in the room which is always a plus.

Would I go back? Yes, because all around it s a good hotel in a very good location.

In this hotel I had the worst food poisoning of my life. 2 years later I still have problems with my stomach, and I will keep these problems for life. I will explain everything to you: One morning I wanted to eat Salmon for breakfast, I ate a little bit and yet I was sick (the salmon has been at room temperature for several days). I find it shameful that a 5-star hotel makes mistakes of this type. REMEMBER THAT I WILL KEEP THESE PROBLEMS OF STOMACH ALL MY LIFE ... !!!

Massage review. I came to the G&V for the first time for a Swedish massage as a Christmas treat. The front desk welcome was very friendly and relaxed. It wasn't immediately clear where the main reception was but there was a nice atmosphere of calm when you step in from the busyness of the Royal Mile. The massage was the best Ive ever had.

Hotel beautifully located for tourism. But the reputation of the Radison must be tempered. Numerous gaps in the details: missing lights in our room not repaired after 5 nights; Exceptionally slow restaurant at the breakfast ... but all that with the smile!

Really fantastic hotel, great views from most of the rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we especially liked our surprise card and dessert for our anniversary that was left in our room.

The hotel restaurant serves breakfast every day and it's cheaper to pay for it in advance than on the day. They have a continental buffet breakfast and a cooked breakfast option. Both were very tasty and good value for money.

We also visited the restaurant in the evening one night and the food was delicious but the portion size (for the price) wasn't good value for money. There are so many good restaurants around the hotel that you can get better value for money and equally as good food in a few minutes walk.

I would definitely recommend the hotel though and would be happy to go back. The rooms were very clean and tidy, the beds were very comfortable, if a little hard for our liking. The shower in the bathroom was great and the chairs in the room were comfortable too.

I traveled to Edinburgh solo and could not have asked for a better location. I was a walk away from most of my itinerary. The hotel is well decorated and inviting. I give 4 stars bc my door (and neighbor's door) had trouble shutting so we had to SLAM them to shut- which was annoying if someone was coming or going early or very late. I also felt the service could have been a tad more accommodating. When I walked outside to leave with my huge suitcase, carry-on & tote bag, the outdoor male attendant just looked at me. I had to ask for help, which he offered with a somewhat contested air. Perhaps this is a reflection of one person on a bad day, however. I also feel their room service menu could use a revamping as it was quite bland and basic. You are a short walk away from several eateries though. It would have just been nice on a rainy evening to stay in. But all in all, I would stay here again! (PS, I also got a deep tissue massage at their onsite spa and LOVED the experience.)

I had an amazing trip and a wonderful stay in a fantastic city. Missoni is the only five-star hotel on the historic Royal Mile. The room was a little bit quirky, but modern and spotless. Nespresso machine, capsules and shortbread cookies all complimentary which was really nice. One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Can t wait to come back!

This place is really nice. In a great location centre to everything. The hotel is pretty cool the way they have designed it and the look it has. Ultra modern. Staff were all very accommodating, free WIFI around the place which was great. There is a cool seating area in the front of the hotel when you come in which has a wicked little coffee place where you can get a hot chocolate and chill by a cool fire. @ minutes from everything basically. Room was nice as well. Would defo stay again if i was around Edinburgh.
