A super stylish hotel and a must visit for those interested in the Missoni brand.
Staying in this hotel did make me feel like I was on holiday in my city as the view upon the High Street from the room was incredible.
Bar is great with a varied selection of cocktails and twist on the classics by the Missoni mixologists.

A fun and stylish hotel room, complete with walk-in shower, gorgeous branded toiletries and Missoni robes. (Worth noting that only the suites come with baths - much to my disappointment). Nice laid back spa and good service.

The breakfast provided was great and I have eaten here on a couple of occasions with varied results; the first time both the food and service was excellent but the second time did n't seem to be quite as attentive and the simplicity of the Italian style menu may not be to everyone's expectations; it really is no frills - so do order sides if you think you'll need them!

A lovely hotel to stay in and defo lives up to its name of being a 5 star hotel. Breakfast is the only meal being allowed there with the resturant only open till 11am. Other than that, the rooms are big and have a Retro style and feel to them. Coffee making facilities included.

Reviewing the bar only as didn't stay here. Now that's out the way the chaps at the bar are very well presented if a little slow. Watched them make a dogs dinner of a long vodka. The bar skills dont match the presentation I'm afraid. Took a seat and the "whistling waiter" brought over the drinks eventually. Otherwise it's comfy, good atmosphere. They even bring a complimentary cucumber water. Yummy.

We stayed for 2 nights and the TV was severely disrupted by interference. We were told that this was due to the Scottish weather (some snow and rain had apparently disturbed the satellite dish)... Really ! No improvement during our stay and we suspect that this problem didn't just start when we arrived. A weak excuse... systems break down, but issues should be resolved quickly ! Also, complimentary water was provided for the first night only... Now that tells you a lot about the hotel's ethos. We suggest you check the details before you confirm your booking. The room itself was fine.

We loved this hotel and our room had a stunning view of Edinburgh Castle. Any time of day was wonderful to sit and sip whisky! Loved the modern bathroom, coffee machine, oatcakes, and ample pillows. Staff were helpful and friendly and hotel was very clean

Summary: Not the best 5-star experience in Edinburgh.

Given the price, 5-star rating, and extraordinary good word of mouth, I expected to be blown away by G&V. But I wasn't. It felt like just another hotel, albeit a far more stylish example.

First, the good.

The location is second to none. The hotel is sited smack-bang in the middle of Edinburgh's historic centre, and everything is a short walk away. From Edinburgh Castle at one end of the Royal Mile to Holyrood Palace at the other, and Princes Street just down the mound, everything is at hand. If you are visiting the city to sight-see, there is no better location to begin than this.

The hotel itself is gorgeous, with angular black and white patterns punctuated with splashes of bright colour, presenting Italian style with a Scottish flavour, and entirely succeeding. This transfers to the staff, who are all impeccably presented in a similar fashion, and always ready to help.

However, then it all becomes a little... meh! I know, I know, not a particularly helpful word, but I find it's the best description for my experience: meh!

My room was smaller than expected, and while clean and well-presented, it was a touch too bland. The bathroom, in particular, was... well... just a small bathroom. I'd seen many similar examples in far cheaper hotels, and some better; it was all a tad disappointing.

Indeed, I found the entire experience in the hotel oddly soulless and unfulfilling -- yes, undoubtedly professional and slick, but missing that certain 5-star something. Thus, sadly, I wasn't impressed, and left with an odd sense of dissatisfaction. I didn't dislike anything. But, equally, I can't really say I loved anything either.

If the location is unimportant to you, and you are looking for a 5-star hotel in Edinburgh, this would not be my first recommendation. Or, indeed, my second.

Nice easy access to all the major events and sites from this hotel. Easy quick and friendly checkin/checkout service.
Rooms nice and clean and everything needed is available.
Professional etiquette from all people working there.
Will likely consider this hotel again if returning to Edinburgh.

The Airconditioning doesn t work!! The room was very hot. We asked for a fan but it made so much noise, I would have got better sleep at Waverly train station.

The side tables were dirty. We showed a picture to the front desk manager. The room lights are not enough, it very dark.

At check in ( we were early) we were told we will get upgraded to a suite. We came back to find we were allocated a regular room. No explanation given.

Overall a horrible experience. Location though is fantastic.

Great location and staff. Clean. Comfy beds. Not 5 star tho. Been put in a disabled room which I don't need and not sure how a disabled person would get around the room. No view . Toiletries not replaced. Notebook used. No milk for tea or coffee. lacks the special touches of a 5 star. Wouldn't come again.

This can be confusing. We booked for Radisson on the Royal Mile. Expecting the Radisson Blu. However since 2018, the Radisson Collection is now just off the Royal Mile a little higher up past the Tron and St Giles Cathedral.

Parking is available at the Blu, which is expensive and a fair walk from the Collection (if with cases etc)

The hotel itself is modern, stylish but looks a bit rough in places like it was rushed to be finished. Our room had a few DIY looking finishes to it.

Ultimately a good stay, great breakfast options and friendly staff, just a little confusing with the 2 hotel's and parking etc

(Please note the photo is from the Blu, I just thought it looked cool)

Although a bit pricey, their cocktails are fantastic. Spent there an hour with friends while we waited for lunchtime at Cucina and we were delighted to drink some of their very best. Honestly, the place is beautiful, very stylish and the service was great.

I like the bar in Hotel Missoni, it doesn't feel like a hotel bar! It has a fun and upbeat atmosphere, and is always a great place to pop into for a glass of prosecco at the end of a long day shopping!

I've been to two cocktail masterclasses at Hotel Missoni too, and both have been excellent! The staff are cheery and make you laugh by not taking themselves too seriously. Well worth getting a group of friends together and making an afternoon of it!

Radisson collection is a nice hotel very much centrally located right on the royal mile. rooms are compact but comfortable , nice handy gadget they provide for tourist like a smart phone with all Tourist data loaded.
the only problem is food , the menu is small , very limited choice , especially for vegetarians almost nil choice.A cold soup in cold weather, neither they are flexible to cook some thing veg for house guest/ breakfast is pathetic , very few things that to same every day./ we stayed for five days. It was Collection hotel hence the theme was black , black bath robes , black bathrooms, black slippers , black decor of rooms and restaurant , which i personally don't like in room , where it is place to rest. any way.

A very peculiar hotel, and here's why:
The location is good, next to the Royal Mile. It will not be difficult to get to it. Bushatl from the airport and trains go to the central station, and the hotel is within walking distance. All sights are nearby.
Around there are many different pubs, next to the "famous" tavern, where children are not allowed, unless you dine, yes, you should dine in full, there are no salads and vegetable dishes, everywhere there is meat, beans, porridge, pounded meat. There are NO them in the hotel either! So constipation, you will be guaranteed for the entire rest period !!! However, there is almost everywhere the same, both in Britain and Scotland and in Ireland. So, going in and tasting a different Ale, or local single malt whiskey, which is especially good here, will be very problematic.
The Mile is always noisy and crowded. Pipers play everywhere, and you can hear it all well in the hotel.
The hotel is located in a modern building and is strongly discordant with the surrounding architecture. The hall is elongated and not big, the reception is at the end, a couple of tables, and one woman, very slowly, made out everything. Meet the bearded Scots in kelt, it was cool.

I've stayed in some pretty cool hotels around the world and have to say Hotel Misonni is up there with the best now. I stayed one night after winning a competition with Google Local, but I could have happily stayed a week or two. Considering I have all my home comforts a stone's throw from this hotel, that says a lot. From the minute I checked in, to the minute I left I was completely spoiled beyond the call of duty! Ann, in particular, was a complete credit to the front of house team. The room was designed to high standards as you'd expect from Missoni, and I not only had a stay in complete 5 star luxury, I picked up design tips too! Shower had two different settings, regular or rainforest. I was lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite, so had space to lounge. The views from the 5th floor were awesome too, could see the sea! The best thing about the room was the bed. The brochure promised the best sleep ever, and oh man, I got it. This is a bed to starfish in! It's centrally located opposite from the lovely National Library. If you are looking for a special touch to your trip to Edinburgh, Stay here!
If you don't want to stay then at least try the Spa. I worked for luxury brand Elemis as a Beauty Therapist, so was delighted to try the Eve Lom facials here. We were trained to make sure no background noise interrupted your clients treatment, and that is what happened here. Aside from the initial greeting, I wouldn't have known Heather was in the room. Total Luxury and pampering. Loved it!

Fantastic hotel with great services and good customer service. Allocated close to Edinburgh castle on the royal mile. Valet parking is available but expensive- you re better off parking at the Radisson Blu just down the street.
