Fantastic! Not to be missed! Well organized, welcoming with great attention to detail and suggested logical routes. Being able to admire one of the most beautiful works in the world in such a structured museum is absolutely an experience to be experienced.

It was okay, but they really should have more information next to the paintings. Instead of things that only say man with broom or Lady with Lap Dog

Conclusion quite boring, if I come again I would get the audio guide as that might provide some information.

Essential visiting for the art lover . There were some famous pieces of art , but also a lot of lesser know artists, particularly American ones . Its layout is well organised and you get to see everything.

One of the great museums in the world. On the ground floor you can see more modern art, in the first impressionism and company, and in the second ancient art (altarpieces and others). If you are of the mutual you enter for free.

I love it because in the first place it is one of the museums in Madrid with the most variety of artistic styles, it takes a tour through the history of art and secondly because there are very good discounts for young people with the university card or the young card.

I love temporary exhibitions, which allows me to return again and again, being able to enjoy my favorite paintings on those occasions. The explanatory texts allow to have a contextual view of the period in which the work arises. Once they got it, although in the last time I went I missed it, a line to follow in each room to visit each painting. The sequence between rooms is perfect, but inside I'm still clueless where to start, between table and picture I often cross the room from side to side.

Great and very complete collection of European and North American painting from the Italian primitivists to the surrealists and abstract art of the 20th century. Of course, it is not as extensive as that of El Prado, Le Louvre or Hermitage, but therein lies an important advantage, in my opinion: you can see all the paintings, albeit briefly, in one visit and for the people Starting in the world of pictorial art is a perfect opportunity to observe the evolution of painting through the centuries.
In addition, right now you can visit a temporary exhibition Balenciaga and Spanish painting, in which 90 spectacular creations of this great designer share space with the works of several Spanish painters in which they were inspired.

The Museum itself and the works are all correct. The problem is access if you access your own bicycle. The Museum houses a lot of outdoor space where an area should be set up to leave bicycles. Since I tried to chain her in the fence area, I was denied the possibility. It should be modernized in this regard.

Beautiful experience, you have to go with enough time to enjoy everything. It is a fairly large museum that has a cafeteria and you can re-enter the permanent exhibition. For the temporary exhibition, you have to adapt to the available schedules.

Another one of 30 things to do and see in Madrid. Different kind of historic experience between this and Prado museum. The visit is more elastic and pleasure than Prado and It's possible to make photos. As always must to see!

If you like the museum, be sure to visit! Photo is available.
Korean brochures and audio guides were great. However, there are some parts that are not updated in the case of the audio guide, so some works have no explanation. But it's nice to have explained every room. Please update Carmen ThyssenBornemisa's works.
The main art museum and Carmen building are different, so you can watch them separately. Please start from the 3rd floor!

An exceptional collection. From classical masterpieces to modern art, everything is well disposed and valued. There are wonderful works, from Rubens, Raphael, Caravaggio, Canaletto, Van Eyck, Van der Weyden to Van Gogh, Monet, Degas, Morisot, Mondrian, Kandinski, Dali, Picasso, Hopper ... And Kirchner, Kokoschka, Schiele, Ensor , Nolde ... Many never seen ... If I could put 10 stars! And compared to the Prado I could take pictures. Take at least half a day, three hours are few.

We visited on a Monday afternoon (week before Easter), when the museum is free 12-4. There was no queue and minimal crowds. The collection of 19th/20th Century Art is second to none with enough famous works to satisfy aficionados and philistines alike. The layout is also such that it s easy to see the works without walking what seems like miles!Really highly recommended for anyone looking for something a little fresher than the Prado.
