When I received my Master Degree I was ready to accomplish my goal. This is the most focused curriculum ever; you learn all the tools necessary to hit the ground running. My teachers were always available and were a guiding force all the way to the end.

Full Sail University offers campus and online degree programs that are designed for the world of entertainment and media. Offering associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees,Sail gives students all the opportunities they need to learn and grow and sets them up for success. It s up to the student to take full advantage of those resources.
I have been accepted to full sail and been treated very kindly ive been working with them for over 6 months now and got a scholarship the people are very nice and informative I've spoken to several students who say they love it cant wait to start here
DONT GO HERE IF YOU DONT WANT DEBT****** YOUR financial aid wont cover your cost of attendance and living. You will come out with thousands of dollars of debit from private loans, best part is you won't event know what you are signing off on. You only have 57,500 in federal loans up to a Bachelor and there programs are 80k+ for a Bachelor. Dont do it. So many college options out there for you.
No I have not went here but am about to, if you research enough it's placed in then top schools for all sorts of entertainment. If you are going into gaming like me you should except a hectic caseload, because that's what your going to get in a real game studio hectic hours. Ive learned some of the stuff on my own. Game Design is one of only degrees you need a degree for in gaming. If you prepare enough for tuition you wont be in as much debt, there's tons of grants, scholarships and yes student loans. Then again I keep practicing even when I'm not in a class. I've reached out to game studios ( sure movies are then same) its straight Bs they don't hire from full sail, they care more about your ideas, and skill sets which and portfolio. Since some studios work their employees 100 hours a week before release dates you think you'll handle that if you can't handle a college course load. The type of degrees they offer are industrys you have to live and breath in. If you're not up for the task you need a different field. Passionate has to consume you and by the way I already sleep 4 hours a night working on my own stuff. If you can't get a job right away do freelance or even start your own business cause you'll have the tools. I may not even.apply to a studio cause I'm wanting to do.my own indie studio. Put the work in, prepare way ahead of time how to pay and just give it your all. If you dont have the drive maybe it isn't for you.
This university is AWESOME!!! I can't speak enough about what they do and how they stand by their students. It's an experience you have to see for yourself! And if you're ever visiting Florida, take the campus tour, they run every hour. To the staff and EVERYBODY at Full Sail, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK Y'ALL!!!
I was here for the Apple Distinguished Educators camp. Man are the facilities nice. Love the custom apple parking spots and the catering. They also had an amazing stage with concert lighting that really brought in a TED-conference like atmosphere.
Minus 1 star for the unforgiving AC turning some of the rooms into a meat locker.
You get out what you put into this education. Really consider your options before coming to this university. While their programs are exciting and intense, the education is not well rounded and is lacking in several levels. This is a FOR PROFIT school. Thats not a horrible thing but they do treat you like a number and a paycheck rather then a student and a individual. Your class hours and course loads are ridiculous. Do not expect any sort of normal experience with this. Sleep problems, personality disorders and major stress/depression are just some of the side effects (ask any student currently or graduated) that result from the course loads. My personal expertise with this school is less the positive, however some of the skills and tool taught to me here have served me well in building a successful startup. Good luck to you if this is your school of choice! You'll need it.
Full sail University is a very specialized school. You can graduate with a bachelor's degree in 20 to 29 months. They have all kinds of degrees in the arts and music and broadcasting. If you're interested in any of these field this is an incredible place to be able to go.
I love this school but it is incredibly unsafe . There has been so many armed robberies in BROAD DAYLIGHT. I mean like anywhere from 10 am until 4 in the afternoon. The school has done noting about it! Full Sail If you don't do anything about this . We will flood the web with negative reviews. Our safety should be important to you! I also just learned that the school was going to file bankruptcy so they gave everyone a scholarship to increase student enrollment. No wonder it was only 40,000. There worst students in my class who were doing half-ass work and getting an a for it. They purposely let you pass like this so they keep getting more money from financial aid. Is Full Sail Scam School yes and no. The school is based off using scanning effects to getting money butt if you actually put in the work in school and work hard you will get a good job. In my opinion don't waste your money unless you're a resident of Orlando and you don't have to pay for housing don't bother. Because this school it's centered around getting money from the students. I would give the school a C grade.
$80k for nothing no job and no one defines it as a real university . It s a playground for kids everyone get A and A+ easy to graduate and learn nothing. Their job finder department do nothing literally nothing. If you re international student just pay cash and no loans. Overall I don t recommend this university at all wasted 2 years of my life in EBBS
best place in the world If you are responsible and focused, if you can pass a week without sleep and you can give your 110% this is the place for you FULL SAIL IS NOT A PLACE FOR PROCASTINATION!
If I could go back and do it again I wouldn't. The student debt accumulated is astronomical. It's a good education and great experience but My family shouldn't have to decide weather We want to eat this month or pay student loans. I wish I had just gone to the community college in my home town. If you can afford to go to this school then by all means, do it because the hands on learning is awesome. But the price for people like me is just too steep and I regret ever going.
I am a current student here and about to graduate with a BS in Game Design. I will tell you that you will be fooled by the "high tech, fancy, cutting edge" propaganda that this university will sell you. Yes, you will get tech and new products (I was given a Macbook and an iPad mini), but you will pay for them so what's the point?
Your instructors will be people who have very little experience or credentials and will constantly give you conflicting information and remain extremely unprofessional. I say that as a generalization, but in my entire time at this university possibly 5 of my 30 instructors have been professional and worth the money you will pay for this school. You will constantly call to complain or inquire about this and that because nothing will be done correctly or the way that you were told it would (take for example my current class, which should have started 2 days ago. There are no assignments posted and the instructor cannot be reached by me or by the university).
Those who leave good reviews saying "You get out what you put in" are not wrong. You will not be taught anything. You will be given direction to watch a YouTube video about a subject and then expected to find any additional information about the subject on your own. So, yes, you must put in A LOT in order to get ANYTHING out of this school because you have to teach yourself. Why not save 100k and just do it yourself?
If all of these things are not convincing you to not attend this university because, like me, you want the fancy degree and you want to be able to say you went to a "leading" school in this industry -- PLEASE read reviews from companies that refuse to accept graduates from Full Sail. Your degree from this school is worth nothing and companies in these industries only care about your skills and what you can offer. You are STILL much better off learning for yourself the information and gaining these skills.
0/5 review Game Art Online (BA) Going here was my BIGGEST mistake! The instructors (95% of them) send you links to lectures in 2013 when you re using 2017 programs. You are required to teach yourself off of websites like Lynda, YouTube, and other cheap/free websites. Most of the instructors take too long to give feedback and when they do, it s two days before turn in. Not to mention you have NO creative freedom like they advertise. Expect to be modeling chairs your entire time at Full Sail. You have one month to learn whatever class you re in, most of them not relating to your degree. (Most animation for Game Art.) I have been trying to get in contact with someone to get a detail of where all of my money has been going because with all of my Fafsa and personal loans, I still owe the school money. I feel like they re taking much more than they should. Oh... btw, did I tell you that they won t call you back if you call from a government number? Kinda fishy, huh? $32K in debt and didn t learn anything.
First off I want to start by saying, school is what you make it. If you care about what you are doing, if you truly want to succeed and work hard you will be fine. Just realize, school is not a magic ticket, you will have to work hard, you will sleep little but if you want to succeed, you won't care, you will do it because you honestly feel there is no other option. This also applies after you graduate because it takes some longer then others to get a job. I graduated in December 2013 and just landed my first real job in August.
Overall, I think FullSail is a good school. I personally think if you are able to go in person, you will receive a more fulfilling education and more personal attention which could lead to greater success in the future. I went online and while I feel I did receive a good education, it is very intense, very fast paced and some of the things you have to learn are extremely challenging to learn from a computer without having a teacher right there beside you. However if you are completely stumped, most teachers will set up a time to help you out. My web design teacher took control of my computer for me to show me the steps I was missing on my own. If it was not for his guidance, I would've completely missed out on that class. This being said, I would only suggest going to school online if that is your absolute only option. If you are physically able to, you should definitely attend school in person.
Keep in mind, this school does not have job placement and the career counselors don't seem up to par in my opinion. My career advisor said he would be unable to help me until I had more experience (this was right after I had graduated) and I kinda thought it was their job to help me achieve this but don't be mistaken, it is your job to achieve this. I found the career counselors to be quite ineffective. The leads they gave me were all for unpaid internships and although I ended up getting an internship this way, their guidance never lead to paid employment, I had to find that on my own.
I learned a lot from this school and I am glad I went as I never would have been able to finish my degree if there was not an online option. I wish the career counseling division was more helpful but other then that, it's really up to you if you become successful or not anyway. If you want it bad enough you will succeed. Just remember it won't' be easy but anything worth doing never is.
University pays for positive reviews. All the local guides are not real people. BEWARE. It is all marketing tactics. I do marketing for a living and know the ins and outs of all of it. Colleges are now utilizing black hat tactics to increase conversions through their Google My Business. If you are a high school student debating if you should go here. DON T!! You will be in endless debt. Instead. Go to Udemy.com. Buy a course for ten bucks. And teach yourself.
This place is a business scam, they will lure you in, collect your money, and give you an "education" that is worth nothing. The film industry is dead, and their career development program is them posting sales jobs on a website. Do not go here. You have been warned.
I have never been to full sail but went to the website I loved it it had everything I ever dreamed of even the campus is so cool you have to check photos of full sail I am planning to go there one day
Amazing school. Just be prepared for a challenge. They have an amazing staff and the staff is dedicated to help you learn and grow as a person and your portfolio.
Like it my kids have gone THERE but having a hard time getting a job because have no experience n not really helping out on that have filled out application for different parks and no luck wish they give them that .
Firstaval, I am still in junior High school, and I gotta say, every single review is either
1: Praising the college with amazing feedback or...
2: Trying to slander this college by writing as negative of a review as possible WHILST forgetting to do ANY research. This is further proven by the fact that if you really analyze those reviews, you will see them CONTRADICT themselves eventually
I personally am very interested in this college, and I 100% think this is legit (physically impossible to hack into FSU as a criminal)
good school at times (online), but very expensive, and if you get behind on payments or classes its very hard to catch up. I feel this institution put profit/money before education. Now don't get me wrong not every one at this institution is like that, I actually had one adviser really try to help me find funding for school through outside loans, but everyone I spoke with in the Financial Aid office basically had the same mind frame (when it's time to pay up at Full Sail, it's time to Pay up at Full Sail) I actually had someone in the Financial Aid office tell me that. Another issue I had is, the school changed my advisers literally every other month, so I never had the opportunity to create a real relationship with none of my advisers, so every other month I had to reexplain the same situation to a different adviser and they try the same thing the previous adviser did that didn't work until I got a new adviser. All in all it was a great learning experiment, I wouldn't go back unless I had the MONEY/Time and on campus, but don't go off of my experience because it was probably bad timing for me. Also I just transferred out, to a school in my home town for the same degree in which I had to start over, because my credits were not accepted because Full Sail is not regionally accredited. These folks are professional liars and unprofessional representatives of higher education. My son applied for and won a $20,000 scholarship that they have not and will not award him. Their degree programs are quite expensive as it is, but to take away $20,000 from a young man who worked against his Asperger's Syndrome to create something that someone on a committee there felt was worth while? That's unacceptable, so my son has enrolled at the Academy of Arts instead. They granted him a scholarship they actually paid out.I earned my Masters in Internet Marketing with their online program and it was a great experience. Live sessions with instructors who are always available. Even being in the industry I feel I learned a lot.
I d give this school 0 stars if that was an option but it s not... this is by far the worst school in history, do not go here it s a rip off and puts you in debt. Please rethink your choices if you re considering going here! It s not worth it it s a serious waste of time! Universities only care about taking your money and that s it ESPECIALLY THIS ONE. Very unorganized and unprofessional in the office no one knows what the other person is doing. Stole funding from me and everything !
There are only a few instructors that you feel their passion for teaching. No student advocacy, it's like going to school at Orange County Jail. Grading rubric is close to black and white, pass or fail regardless of your effort. Poor feedback from instructors when assignments are graded. I advised Rebecca Carroll that I was thinking about withdrawing due to my experience and instead of reaching a resolution to keep a student in a for profit school, she quickly informed me of how to withdraw.
I'm not a student but, the won't leave me alone! My mom signed me up for their stupid emails and legit they won't stop calling and emailing. I have told you people multiple times that I'M NOT INTERESTED IN YOUR DAMN SCHOOL. Why would I go here when I could go to Cincinnati or CCAD? Reading these reviews also gives me a huge red flag.
Oh, did I mention that I'm on the do not call registry?
This place is a all time scam and joke. Never planning on stepping on this places campuses.
Regarding their online program and career placement. The whole thing is a joke. By the time you graduate the industry is already 2 steps ahead of what you were taught and yes while some of it is translatable when you interview you still fall below other applicants. The jobs that are available don't pay much and if you don't live in a major urban hub require long commutes. If you can nail down a job with decent pay its mostly 3-6 month contract work. They do not help much with job placement and even 4 years after graduating the things they have in place to "help" are subpar and you're better off using private services for resume writing and job offers like Linkedin. $50k for an out of date degree, false promises and little to no help with job placement if you're not in Florida. Hell half my classes in the last quarter were downloadable PDF's and YouTube videos I could have watched for free. Teacher is just there to babysit and ensure work is turned in on time.
Place is a joke. Low quality teaching they only care about your money. Employers do not care about your 100k degree from Full Sail they care if you have the skills to succeed. If you want to pursue a career in entertainment get a job in the industry and work your way up.
Waste of money. The only thing I got from this "school" is a giant debt. I'm a casting producer for a well known show, and I would never, ever give credit to this place.
This is not a nationally accredited school. So a degree from here cannot legally or actually get you a job or any credits at any college. Not only that but you will still be in debt.
MANNNNNNN this place has been a dream since I was in middle school!!!! I ve always wanted to go here! AND now I m here!!! Barely starting but the classes are manageable in my opinion, everyone is so friendly and helpful, amazing events and enrollment team is nice! George and Samuel are great!!! Alsooooo I m super happy to be here! Campus life is beautifully crafted. Honestly the involvement this school has with the community is outstanding! As well I really appreciate how the classes are fast paced and the courses are what s in the focus of our major! If you want to go here I recommend you coming here knowing there are mountains to climb, and keep persevering and have the passion and creativity to keep going! Everyone here is talented!! Even the people who clean! I saw a really nice lady who sang beautifully at my first day who works there! Honestly everything is remarkable and it keeps me motivated!!!!
I was enrolled in the web design program. It was basically just minor Javascript and I don't recall anything about html, css, jquery, bootstrap, or anything else. Some of the first classes were... How to use a computer. They called it "Digital Literacy" and basically just told you about cloud storage. The fundamentals of programming class was just about history of computers and programming in general. A lot of schools will do the same thing, but this class seemed to be aimed towards people who have no idea how to use a computer and just wanted to know worthless information that you can learn from a quick Google Search and 15 minutes on Wikipedia. On top of you not learning anything new unless you haven't used a computer for longer than 15 minutes, the credits aren't accepted by a lot of other colleges. I tried transferring and was told that no one in the country will recognize these credits... Understandable given their content. Secondly, I was charged an extra $5000 after I was enrolled and they had received my financial aid. The financial aid advisor said that they dont know why I was never notified about this extra charge prior. They also force you to purchase a new MacBook for $3000... At the time, the computer I received cost about $1k at the Apple Store. I ended up paying the equivalent of three years at a local university for the price of one there. Honestly, a $20 course from udemy or coursea is better for experience and skill building than a degree from here. The degree is nothing more than a paper saying that you got ripped off.
They've offered me a $20,000 dollar scholarship two or three times. I've already attended after running out of financial aid. I am a professor of sorts in many things. My credentials are irrelevant to this review. Everytime I call I get a 2 step Cha Cha. Their customer service is very kind on the phobe, but very frustrating never getting anywhere with these people. I have no need to go to school for music. In fact if I was offered a job I would and start analog music into starting a symphonic program for reasons why. They have digital, but very little anolog music instituted into this university. The programs I studied do teach certain music theory but not how to play instruments and why and how they affect the music tonation and affect on the world and society. I can no longer ply the bass and keyboard very well. If they were to offer me a position in teaching symphonic method I would be happy too. But I can nowhere with these people on the phone as I have tried to reinrole for media other media talents I have as a degreed Broadcasting student. I have personally tried to talk to the schools president and get nowhere in doing so. If you reach out to me I may help you school in its program, attend classes, and offer legal and business advice as teach customer service skills. I enjoyed my brief time studying there. So, if interested you may reach out to me offer me a job and will become a student again. As I may enrol in another school as well for other programs.
Best choice of my life so far was to go to Full Sail. This school is amazing, the teachers will do anything to help you with school, & I even got help after graduation. I have never known teachers to care so much about the well being of students in their career. Also Full Sail gave me a job lead after graduation for designing jewelry & I got the job a year ago today! I have designs in malls all over the US & honestly I wouldn t be where I am today without this school. Thank you so much Full Sail!
A Great place to work and go to school. Like all schools, you get out of school what you put into it. Full Sail gives students all the opportunities they need to learn and grow and sets them up for success. It s up to the student to take full advantage of those resources. I highly recommend Full Sail for the self motivated student. Full Sail is also a great place to work if you enjoy teaching and making a difference in peoples lives.
The education at this school is fantastic but the communication of the advisory department and many of the academic instructors is horrendous. I've sent emails that took a month to be responded to, made phone calls that were never returned, and had teachers that didn't respond to questions about grading for over a month at times. It's ridiculous and an aspect of this school that needs a lot of work. Besides that, the course load is designed well and the academics are very good. Please work on these issues Full Sail.
I always wanted to go to this school! i'm still not there yet. But i will be there in the future. i'm 15 right now in high school. Staying in school trying to raise my GPA trying too get there for the future. I hope i will so that i can be a game or graphic designer. I really want too go here!!
People were Nice! School is Cool! I graduated and used $250K 250K Business Credit thats attached to my EIN and not my SSN to open up my studio! Thank you for introducing to Northern Business Credit Solutions
I graduated as Valedictorian from the Media Communications degree program back in May. I loved my program and I loved my instructors! I ve read through some of the reviews and I m so confused. I never had a problem completing assignments on time, if I did I was granted extensions by the instructors. I spent maybe a total of 10-15 hours a week on school work and also worked 40+ hours a week. I never failed a class, for the most part my instructors were tentative and easily accessible (when they weren t I contacted my advisor and filed a complaint.), and overall I feel I wasn t too terribly challenged. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because as an online student in this degree there are several projects that require you to film certain things but you are not provided any equipment. The school tells you to use your phone and they assume everyone has high end IPhones and Androids they can use. Over all It s a good school, it was a great program that taught me a lot! I currently work freelance and have several clients under my belt!
I have been going to Full Sail for a little over a year now. I'm taking Music Production online. The classes are fun and the instructors are great and they really try to help you and work with you (with the exception of a couple). I've learned quite a bit and have seen my skill rise beyond belief. My only gripe is that you only get one class per month. Every month. This only gives you 4 weeks to learn some really complex things. The program is extremely fast-paced and if you're not ready to work your butt off then you're not ready for Full Sail. Be prepared to pay a good amount for it too. It's definitely not a cheap school but it will get you where you want to go if you put the work in.
I would like to recognize Antonio, who did my admissions interview this morning. What an easy person to talk to, to share with & to learn about Full Sail University from. He treated me very professionally yet I felt as if we had known each other a long time. Full Sail University is blessed to be represented by such a personable & professional young man. This interview experience with him has made me want to attend even more. Thank you, Antonio!
What makes this school incredible is the technology available for the students. The school is OPEN 24/24 so you can study all day and all night if you want to. Buildings are like blocks of advanced technology next to each other. The classes are personalized, and even the platform for online classes is intuitive, and beautifully designed. I gave a 4 star, instead of 5, just because I think the housing should be organized by the school, and is a great way to network with other student more easily.
I did 1 year at the school before I left, and I am glad I left when i did before I got myself in a even worse position. Yes the students are friendly and the staff is nice, I did have a good experience while attending but was entirely based on the friends I made. But now 40,000 in debt in loans and no degree isn`t fun. I would go on 3 to 4 hours of sleep a night for months at a time. They say the pick the crazy hours to help you prepare for the industry but when really its so they can rotate as many students through the program as possible. You have hardly any actual teaching, most is online seminars and unless you have had previous training you will fall behind and they will not give you time to catch up. You have 2 weeks to lean a half a years worth of material before a mid term then 2 more weeks before the final. They pull you in with all the big talk of students that have gone on to do great things, and some have, but out of all the students that graduate in a year only a handful have become successful in that field after 10+ years. And the worst part, after filling your head with the idea that you need them to succeed in the industry, unless you or your family or you are military you have no chance of affording it. They have no housing or meal plans so you not only pay 100k to go there but you then have to spend 2k plus a month in order to have a place to live and food to eat. And even if you wanted to have a job the schedules change each month and the hours jump all over the place so you couldn't hold a steady work schedule, plus you basically have to teach yourself everything. So most end up having to take out extra loan money just to pay the bills. The financial department is also no help, if something happens and you find yourself not being able to pay your bills and are worried about having a place to live they are no help. Thats what happened to me, they cut the money I was getting in half and when I asked and begged for them to help me so I could stay they said they could not do anything. So they got my 20k for tuition but I ended up having to leave because they only cared that I got my money. So I owe huge loans now and my education is on pause because i have to pay back part of it before they will allow me to reduce my payments so i can go to school again. This school messed up my life and i hate seeing it glamorize its self as something that its not. I dont want anyone else thinking this place is the only way to make a name for yourself. You can do it without them and save yourself time and money. Dont believe those saying this place is what you make it, because its just a cover up for what it really is. A place only the wealthy or people that have already studied the field for years to go. But one thing everyone does leave with and that`s a sleeping problem and financial problems that will last a lifetime.
I earned my Masters in Internet Marketing with their online program and it was a great experience. Live sessions with instructors who are always available. Even being in the industry I feel I learned a lot.
Do not attend Full Sail University. You will regret every dollar you spend on this place. They provide a substandard education to desperate people. If I could do it all over I would have just found a job in the music industry and worked my way to success.
Went to school here for my BS in Video Game Development. Overall great experience. I made a lot of friends and the staff is great. There were some problems with scheduling, but overall great experience.
Don t believe the job placement hype. My daughter graduated from Full Sail $95K in debt and it took her almost a year to find a job as a 3D artist. She did have a great experience with her class directors and did learn how to do the things she needed In her field but the mythical 64 person job placement team was basically non existent in helping her find a job. You ll get a great, very expensive education, but expect to find a job on your own. The job placement team s not going to help you. They d be better off doing away with that and lowering your tuition.
I m currently working towards my BFA in Creative Writing. This school is absolutely amazing. They have been super helpful whenever I need assistance and someone calls frequently to check up on you! The classes are fun and informative. They give you tons of great information and then really test your comprehension skills. I absolutely love it and it s been the best choice I ever made!
