First off I want to start by saying, school is wha...

First off I want to start by saying, school is what you make it. If you care about what you are doing, if you truly want to succeed and work hard you will be fine. Just realize, school is not a magic ticket, you will have to work hard, you will sleep little but if you want to succeed, you won't care, you will do it because you honestly feel there is no other option. This also applies after you graduate because it takes some longer then others to get a job. I graduated in December 2013 and just landed my first real job in August.

Overall, I think FullSail is a good school. I personally think if you are able to go in person, you will receive a more fulfilling education and more personal attention which could lead to greater success in the future. I went online and while I feel I did receive a good education, it is very intense, very fast paced and some of the things you have to learn are extremely challenging to learn from a computer without having a teacher right there beside you. However if you are completely stumped, most teachers will set up a time to help you out. My web design teacher took control of my computer for me to show me the steps I was missing on my own. If it was not for his guidance, I would've completely missed out on that class. This being said, I would only suggest going to school online if that is your absolute only option. If you are physically able to, you should definitely attend school in person.

Keep in mind, this school does not have job placement and the career counselors don't seem up to par in my opinion. My career advisor said he would be unable to help me until I had more experience (this was right after I had graduated) and I kinda thought it was their job to help me achieve this but don't be mistaken, it is your job to achieve this. I found the career counselors to be quite ineffective. The leads they gave me were all for unpaid internships and although I ended up getting an internship this way, their guidance never lead to paid employment, I had to find that on my own.

I learned a lot from this school and I am glad I went as I never would have been able to finish my degree if there was not an online option. I wish the career counseling division was more helpful but other then that, it's really up to you if you become successful or not anyway. If you want it bad enough you will succeed. Just remember it won't' be easy but anything worth doing never is.
