The FU, like the HU, has struggled to make a reasonable offer from 2004 onwards in terms of collective bargaining for student employees after more than 16 years without increasing wages and canceling the Christmas bonus. In 2001 it was worth 10.98 euros an hour to employ a student assistant. At that time you could afford the rent and your life from this job. In 2017 it looks very different! So far we have been around 30% inflation since 2001. The wages have remained the same. With the inflation adjustment alone you get an hourly wage of 14 !!! Euro. The universities offer a total of 11.42 euros. This is kidding !!! In addition, student rents have increased by 50% in the past 7 years. Nowadays, anyone who works as a student assistant can no longer afford his rent and his life from this job. Urgent need for action !!!

This university, co-founded by the USA, expresses much of a western (?) Attitude to life in the spatial design. Individual institutes were housed in villas and the campus invites everyone to linger in summer. The FU is spread over the whole of Dahlem and therefore has a special atmosphere.

Most of the employees are poorly paid. Organization of management is disastrous. Navigating the internet is very tedious and problematic. When it comes to safety issues relating to technical equipment, especially in the physics building, the grade "unsatisfactory" would describe the situation well.

One star is too much for this incompetence! You apply for the sloppy documents and therefore reject them. Then you apply again in the They give you the positive answer. 3 weeks later, shortly before the start of their studies, they withdraw their statement. Be careful everyone! The incompetence works in person. No matter what kind of notification you get, you have to expect to be rejected.

Does it have to be the queen again? What has to happen so that the students working for the Berlin universities finally get a wage increase after 16 years? Compared to the other university employees, they do not receive Christmas bonuses, fewer vacation days and lower sick pay. What has to happen for that to change? Does the queen have to personally approach the queen so that the administration can do its job, as it did for the years-long leaky roof of the foyer in the main building of the technical university? STRIKING FROM 2018 !!!

I have the best memories of my Alma Mater. Great Campus, Professors and Education. I did my PhD in Physic here and the high level of education allowed me to go to Columbia University in New York afterwards which paved the road for the career that I am having now. The professional level in the lab I was working with was actually superior compared to the ivy league Columbia Uni. This includes funds for lab equipment...

Reviews only for the website !! So I have never seen an even worse website. Navigating the site is tedious and confusing. A simple application to study becomes a feat. Really nice bad.

A special place, very busy and interesting. However, you first have to understand how the numbering of the silver and rust arbors works in order not to get lost. There's a lot to discover. You feel like you are in the center of science and research.

I studied law at the FU Berlin and have to say that all in all it was a good study environment. Unfortunately, you can not give 4.5 stars, because there is also criticism: The library (Department of Law) is not very well sorted even after the conversion and often lacking current editions. The Beck-online access seems to me at the TU Berlin (not even have a law department) more extensive. In addition, this year is probably the best professor the FUB for the department had (Prof. Dr. Schwab) unfortunately gone. Compared to the TUB and the UP (Uni Potsdam) in which I also studied - although other subjects - is at the FU but everything structured and m.E. student friendly.
