I stopped by the Sunnyvale store. Shelves were empty. I asked if the store was closing
Employees said no. They thought the store was going to be renovated. Since there are two months till Christmas the story did not appear to be accurate.

There are a few Fry's stores to choose from in the Bay Area, and this is the best one in my opinion. Clean, and nice sales staff. Can't give any Fry's 5 stars though since many times they don't have exactly what I'm looking for and I need to either settle for my second choice, go to a local computer store, or order online.

I found what I wanted to get (piggy suction cup phone stand). But the restroom was clogged and the cashier line was slow. The store was very populated years ago but not anymore. Probably due to being defeated by online shopping.

It's like any other Fry's.

It's large and a good option for electronics that you need now. For most electronics, computers, or accessories Amazon will be cheaper, and feel newer, but this has the items in stock right now.

Usually empty only crickets and tumbleweeds. Very few staff ... But they are helpful ... Price's are competitive but I do not know how they are able to still keep brick and mortar stores open.

A great electronics store. Has everything you need! I come here all the time and check out all the new laptops and stuff they always have. This place is epic in size, with a great variety of sections to choose from too, including a cafeteria. There are many booths where you can try out the equipment, like media centers, the PS3 Kinect, Xbox Kinect, Nintendo Wii, and many others. However, the only drawbacks are that every other worker wants a commission, and the store closes fairly early. Really though, this is a great store.

I wish best buy had all the inventory Fry's has on hand! I built my gaming rig and my sisters gaming rig for under $2,400 with all the parts from here! Its the mega Fry's and I don't mind the drive to Sunnyvale from Capitola since my local best buy doesn't have nearly half the inventory Fry's has!

Been going here for years. This is a staple of Silicon Valley. Lots of products to choose from. Great place to get Technology stuff if you want to get it immediately as opposed to ordering online.

A nice store to go to if you need to pick up some electronic components for your PC which is why I usually go to Fry's. But they have a host of other products available such as Tv's stereo systems, cameras and also good selection of Xbox and PlayStation games to choose from. Prices are very reasonable and they usually have a very good inventory of computer components.

In it's heyday Fry's was a solid choice. Never ask an employee for help (look for someone knowledgeable in the aisle). Watch out for returned products, etc. Was great and I know I spent a fair amount of money there.

Today... It is at best a former shell of itself. Where there was once jammed full shelves, now there are ones that barely have anything on them. A parking lot I seriously questioned if they were open on a Saturday where it was once quite full.

I honestly can't recommend even stopping by as the selection is so meager now.

I hope they get things together

Wow, what happened to Fry's? There was a time they had everything... Even sales people harassing you at every isle. Now there are no sales people and pretty much no inventory. Great place for social distancing but unfortunately no longer a place for your quick tech needs. Sad.

This place has really gone downhill. Almost no selection, staff are almost non existent, and the whole time you're in there you wonder why it's not closed yet. The products they do have are fine, if sometimes out of date, but I wouldn't come here except as a last resort when I need something urgently.

Poor customer service. Went in to try and exchange a gift. Did not have a receipt and the customer service representative wouldn't even look at me, just said no receipt no return and walked away. Worst experience I've ever had in a store.

Store was well stocoked and with weekly promo codes is very competitive to online sites. So much so that I bought several items didn't have to wait for shipping and worry about someone stealing my package.

Floor staff are spotty helpers at best. I usually just find stuff myself. Checkout was a bit slow and the person spoke broken English. Not a big problem but I want efficient checkout.

I don't know if this store is going out of business but it looks pretty empty and unorganized. No GPUs or motherboards on display and not even a placeholder to see what they have in stock. Also, the monitors section was a mess and a lot of empty display counters.

Perhaps Fry's no longer cares to have PC builders as customers. Oh well.

Amazon must be eating Fry's Electronics in competition but Fry's is now matching online prices including Amazon. There is nothing better than holding the physical hardware with your hands. In Fry's Electronics, you can do just that. Price competitive, you get the item you bought right away. No waiting for shipping. You got questions, you might get an answer from a techy guy. And easy to return if it does not work as you expected. Fry's Electronics has been my shopping center for more than two decades and I'm still coming here to buy stuff just because I know they have what I want and price is always on the low side.

This store has seen better days as the sparsely populated parking lot indicates. Every Fry's has an interior theme, and the Sunnyvale location is definitely the nicest looking. Availability of products is very hit or miss.

It's not a store anymore. The place is SO HUGE with no stock. The shelves are empty. The only thing missing are giant GOING OUT OF BUSINESS EVERY THING MUST GO signs. Hard to believe that they can keep the doors open, the lights on and pay employees. See pics below of the once MASSIVE COMPUTER SECTION. Hellllllooooooo any one here, all the employees are bored AF watching stuff on their fons. This is like the other frys I reviewed.

A once great chain is slowly spiraling into obsolescence. Stock levels are approaching post-apocalyptic. I can no longer rely on them to have basic cables, batteries, components, etc, so my business is going to Central Computers, Lowe's, and Amazon.

After an hour of waiting for someone --anyone-- that worked i car stereo department to actually come into that department, I was beyond frustrated to realize that I knew more about his department than he did. He actually seemed irritated that I was asking him questions about subwoofers...
That incident and the general disorganization of item locations/product groupings makes this my least favorite Fry's location.
