Relationally, the Fruitful Vine Is awesome. I loved being able to connect with my midwives! Medically, I was severely disappointed. I was referrred there by someone who was a patient years before. We had hoped for a home birth. I was told to fast for my glucose test and naturally had a headache that morning because of it.. I also mentioned some soreness under my rib. No high blood pressure nothing else, and they tested me for preclampsia, received the test results back, told me that I DIDNT have it, but it COULD change, so they sent me to the hospital where I was reassured they would send my patient file and paperwork. I showed up to the hospital and no one had any of my information. I spent money to be hooked to a machine for 6 hours and the staff at the hospital was confused as to why I was there. I then went to the Fruitful vine for my follow up two weeks after this where my midwife asked me,"do you have preclampsia?" Something that they should have already known. She also mentioned, btw, you have a UTI based on the blood results we received two weeks ago." THEY KNEW I HAD A UTI FOR TWO WEEKS AND DIDNT CALL ME. THey then proceeded to take my blood pressure at that appointment, where it read 140. After using THREE different blood pressure readers, they concluded that the reader was BROKEN. Professionally the place was not great(really dirty and messy) and not great medically. Sure, 5 stars for caring midwives but at the end of the day we needed a midwife that was going to take care of me and my baby medically.
