So, I fell into an insurance gap... COBRA had ended...and regular insurance had a 90 day wait (actually closer to 120). I spoke to numerous OBs in the area--and they all wanted me to cash pay as if I would never have insurance--$5000 or so per OB. I didn't know what to do and a friend suggested I call Fruitful Vine. I had been taking my kids to Progressive Pediatrics for over six years--so I knew the name, but never had used them. After talking with her back-up OB, Sharon did agree to see me until my insurance kicked in for a very reasonable fee. I was/am high-risk...so it was so nice to not have to go at it alone for the first 4-5 months of my pregnancy. The care I received was top-notch--and the caring couldn't be beat. I'm only sorry that I can't actually deliver with Sharon at Fruitful Vine.
