The food came out very quickly and was pretty good...
The food came out very quickly and was pretty good but not great. The service was good. Overall good experience.

The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is for their pies. The food really isn't that good at all, its average at best. But the pies are seriously amazing. Personally I think their peach pie, and jumbleberry pies are the best. Their wings More
The food was pretty good, but not worth the price we paid, especially since the service was a little slow and you could tell it had cooled off a bit before they brought it out.
The food is great although they do run out on somethings
We should have turned around and walked out upon seeing how dirty and run down it looked but we decided to give it a try. The corn bread was cold and dry, the mashed potatoes were actually just one big chunk of potato, the salad was soggy, and I would recommend the frozen cod from Sam's club instead of the fish and chips here. The waitress was friendly and at least gave us a 10% discount.
Loved the chicken pot pie and banana cream pie! Love the warm and friendly environment.
This is the best place to go for a higher-quality burger in Rexburg. I love their mozzarella sticks, as well. The pies are good, too. I've also had fish and chips there, which was surprisingly good. I've had both great service and service that was just okay.
From what I've been told, this is the last remaining Frontier Pies restaurant! The food was great, and service was wonderful. It brought back good memories of eating at Frontier Pies years ago in college.
Great food that will fill you up. And a wonderful homie atmosphere.
Great food, good service, really good pie. Super nasty bathroom though....
I have gone to Frontier pies a few times, each time they were very courteous and friendly. The food tasted great but I just can't afford to go there very often as a college student.
Good chicken fried steak!! I went there for High School graduation dinner!!
#Classof2019!!
Excellent home style food, good service, interesting historical decor. Their pies are fantastic. I always take one home.
Gag... if you're that way find someplace else to go the booths are uncomfortable the iced tea taste like water and the food not so great
I don't usually leave a bad review but this was A VERY awful experience! There were approximately 13 people in the whole place and we still waited and waited and waited for our food. I finally had to go ask where the food was. It wasn't even hot when it came.
We had to ask for syrup and when it came it was full...and I do mean full, of water. Turns out they store it in hot water and two of the three were mostly water. The third was not as bad but still very runny. I wish I could post a picture. It was so full of water that we took pictures. They made us late for an appointment. Overall a bad experience all the way around.
Delightful little restaurant similar to Cracker Barrel
The service is fantastic and friendly and prices are reasonable.
Country style atmosphere and wonderful country style food
The only thing good here that I've had is the pie. It's pretty expensive and not worth the money.
Navaho tacos were good but the fry bread was flat, not risen ...loaded though, with chili not just beans. The Ruben sandwich was excellent. Good service.
I've been going to Frontier Pies since I was little, and the food has always been great. If you've never had an item on the menu before, keep in mind that it's probably at least twice the size you think it is.
Oh yeah! This was a good spot to eat. Neat decor and interesting drinking glasses. The food was amazing above all. I don't remember what I got, but I remember I liked it!
I like the pie that I've had before. But we had breakfast today and no one in our group of 7 was impressed by their food.
This place doesn't have a reputation for impressive service either. Hopefully they can make some changes.
Thus was the worst service and food I have ever received. Time for new staff and management!
Okay... It's not fine dining. It's just a nice little spot to get a meal with the family or have a quiet meal with the wife. It's one of the only places left in Rexburg that you won't be run over by kids or assaulted by noise. We go here for privacy and a quiet meal.
In the age old debate over quantity vs quality this place has chosen quantity. You get more than enough to eat and the price isn't bad at all BUT in the end do you really end up wanting to eat it all? Not really. Sit down breakfast options being limited I would take Frontier Pies over JB's, except on the weekends when JB's offers their breakfast buffet. Frontier Pies does have better coffee and better drink options and the wait staff is very friendly and makes you feel right at home. The place could be a 5 star breakfast place if they changed to quality over quantity.
the cornbread was good. but everything else was very gross. literally disgusting. Everything was dirty and dusty. Please replace with a real restaurant
Definitely a fun, Western style restaurant. Good tasting home cooking, delicious pie shakes, stakes, and burgers. Good price for how large the portion sizes are. Makes for a fun date night.
We used to love to eat here until we were served moldy pie here with no apology.. haven t eaten there since
Food was not as good as the last time we ate here. The outside of the building needs to be cleaned up and made to look like there is a business open to the public.
The interior is need of updating as well.
The service was good and most of the food was good but... If you're going to serve a lasagna as bad as it was this night, don't call it a special. I could understand if tonight was just a bad night, but I would've liked some warning. Granted, I'm Italian, so my standards for this dish are high, but this wasn't even Stouffer's quality. It came out in a piping hot ramekin, but the lasagna was lukewarm. There was water in the dish with the lasagna, yet it was dry. It was somehow savory yet needed seasoning. And, for some reason, it was zesty? Yet one of the blandest lasagnas I had ever had. I'm glad it was taken off of my bill.
Conclusion: If you're eating here, find the most American sounding dish on the menu and order that. Leave everything else alone.
I'm not the type to be picky about my food and brag about it online but Frontier Pies was a disappointment. We ordered their Navajo tacos and the pot pie, both a Frontier Pies specialty, and they were not good. The place needs some help haha. I get they are trying for the Cracker Barrel country rustic look but it just plain dirty inside, the salt and pepper shakers were sticky, and we could barely see outside our window since they were all so dirty. The waitress was kind but didnt bring a drink we asked for and didnt come back to check on us until 15 minutes later when we were already done.
If there is a manager there, I have no idea what he or she is doing. I get this is a college town and expectations aren't high for food but guys come on, get it together :)
One star is generous. Food is blah. We ordered Navy bean soup which was sour. Sandwiches are dry and have about as flavor as cardboard. Our chocolate pie was old and sour. Service was mediocre. Don't go here.
The scoones were dry, pies were not great, food was cold, cherry tomatoes were not optimal. Pork chops were dry. Mash potates were terrible. However I think i will go again.
It is a very nice place with lot of things to look at. The food was delicious . kind of expensive but worth it.
Had some kinda eh food just don t go for the breakfast Buffett lol
Waited over an hour for our food, not once were we asked about refills or even given updates on why after an hour we didn't have our food. We couldn't wait any longer and left without getting our breakfast.
I love this little restaurant. Home cooked food with a homey feel. They welcome their guest with a smile and they have the best pie in town!
This is an ok place to go, but their water tastes like it came across the plains in a rotten wooden barrel. The only daving feature is their pies, which are top notch.
The Chuck wagon skillet was great. Coffee little watery but did the job. Great theme!
Might as well have been the most delicious pie I've ever tasted, excellent service, definitely recommended.
Dose not honor there buy one get one free deals I'll never go back there again ever and if you watch them clean they do not do a good job at it
I ordered a medium well steak and it came out medium rare. My friend ordered a medium steak and it came out uncooked in the middle and very rare. Who ever they have cooking back on the back doesn t know how to cook a steak. After taking his back into the kitchen to cook it, it came back still uncooked and rare. We just asked for the check and left.
Great food and very good prices. Great service as well
Great quality meals with generous portions! Our server, Amanda, was courteous, knowledgeable, sweet, and quick. I highly recommend Frontier Pies!
Surprised when I came and how friendly the service was and the food was good
I went here while I was traveling. I got the Quiche Lorraine, and the strawberry Rhubarb pie. It was pretty basic just your everyday town Diner. It could use an update as the carpet and decor is dingy, but I was pleased with the service and food. We had two children with us and our waiter was very friendly and patient with them. So long story short, good home cooked feeling meal, good service, but needs an update with decor.
Kind of dirty, the floors were stained and didn't look like they had been vacuumed in a long time. I ordered pancakes which were mediocre. The waitstaff was very nice though.
I love the Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and country style gravy.
Great food, excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere made my experience a wholly pleasant experience. The food was fairly priced for the portion sizes and quality, and overall made an excellent experience. I'll return again soon.
Awful!!! We waited more than an hour to get our food. Then some if the dishes ordered were cold.
I've had really different experiences in this restaurant. Universally the staff is nice. One time prompt the other time slow without including external factors. One time the food was incredible, one time the food is alright. This place is really on the fence for at least me personally. I recommend it but keep expectations mild.
There breakfast was pretty good! I had the french toast with bananas and two sausage links on the side. My friends both had the steak and egg plate and they both enjoyed it! Unfortunately I didn't get to taste there pies. :( Maybe next time!
I had a pot pie and it was great! It was a really fun place overall!
It was everything I expected from a restaurant of this type. The young people that work there are kind and considerate. Our food came quickly. The only thing that I didn't appreciate was the lack of changing table in the bathroom.
Awesome menu, service and decor!! What a gem of a restaurant! !
The pies are good. Nothing else about this place is.
Probably the best thing in rexburg. Why only 4 stars then? Cause it's in rexburg....
The staff at Frontier Pies is very friendly, they provide excellent service and are around to help, but aren't hovering and constantly intruding on your meal. The food is also a very good, especially for a nice breakfast, I personally love their pancakes and I find myself ordering them every time I come. I have never seen this place so crowded that I wasn't able to be seated in a timely manner, so that's also very nice.
Food was fine but our waiter had a hard time understanding us, took forever to get to our table and when we asked for refills on soda it took 10 more minutes or never happened. When we were getting ready to pay 2 people in my party set down their cards to rearange things and the waitress took the cards without them knowing and took them to the kitchen.
Old decor. Chicken used in the sandwich had rubbery texture. And pie was a little old. Would not eat here again.
Great little local place! Really love the pie here. The place is decorated as well with different cities of Idaho
Ate here 2 nights in a row while in Rexburg for work, because the food and portions were very good. Wait staff is very friendly. I would absolutely come here again!
Food was ok, but we only ordered breakfast because I read all the other posts. The decor is disgusting, dirty and out dated. If you can go down the road to Great Harvest.
This is a nice place to stop by on your way to Yellowstone park. Big list of pies to choose from. If you are traveling from out of state, I would recommend this diner stop.
Food was good. Service was slow and the restaurant has a run down shabby look.
Delicious food for a great price. Very friendly people also.
I have to say that the service, while polite, is slow and the kitchen must be manned by a single, one armed octogenarian. Slower than Moses. Food quality was good.
Appetizer sanpler was hot and perfectly done. The blue cheese bacon burger was tasty. Bun is grilled so it is crispy. sweet potato fries weren't over cooked and were fine as well.
I love the decorations and the feel of home and getting a home cooked meal! The food is pretty good and the cornbread they provide with each meal is amazing! I would go eat here just for that reason alone! It's not cheap, but it's mostly worth it because the Meals I've tried so far fill you up pretty well. I wouldn't eat here every day, but I enjoy it for special occasions. Going on your birthday gets you a free piece of pie!
Frontier Pies is always a good choice for a meal. The cornbread us out of this world great. Portions are excellent and prices very reasonable.
Great, homestyle food. Cinnamon rolls are excellent!
It took 50 minutes to get my side salad. Very slow service. Very slow. The waitress went to get a take home box, and 20 minutes later we had already finished the food and we didn't need it. There is nothing here less than 9 dollars. The guest wifi doesn't work. Overall poor experience. Also take into account I'm a poor college student on a schedule and budget.
Great food. SLOOOOOOOOW service. Expect to put yourself on Country Time when eating here. Expect 1.5 hours minimum.
