I only went once for scones. But they were amazing, just like my dad would make. I thought the price was very reasonable for what we got.

I only tried the soup (vegetable and beef) and salad at this establishment, but it was pretty good. They serve all meals with corn bread which was tasty and sweet.
Great service, food was awesome, and super fast! Great experience for our family!
The Navaho tacos are good but the service, although friendly, is insanely slow.
A great place to go out to eat! The food is delicious, surved in large portions, and at a great price. Me, my wife, and our friends didn't get dessert both times we went there, because we were so full, and we only spent around $20. Their drinks are surved in large Mason Jars and are very tasty, with free refills. They are quick to get you your order and friendly. The decor is old Western wooden, with wagon Wheels, tin, and such. Over all a great place to go out and have a great time.
Breakfast was good, the waitress was such a sweetheart.
The food was great and was brought out rather quickly. The hostess was very kind and knew the answers to all of our questions. Very cozy atmosphere. :) Overall a great experience.
I really miss Frontier Pies. It was such a treat to be there.
Met a beautiful friend here who suggested this place. Great food.
We came here for Pi day and left happy campers! I would highly recommend the strawberry rhubarb pie.
This place is amazing it's very much a Ma and PAs Style restaurant it has wonderful breakfast I would totally recommend it to anybody
I get bad service every time I am here. Food is ok but won t go back because the service is below standard
Only decent place in town to get Bisquits and gravy.
This place is great. Its just a diner and the food isnt anything amazing but it is really good and the people are really friendly.
Service was great. Cornbread was awesome, and rest ok.
Stopped to have a late breakfast while passing through. Wasn't the greatest choice. Took a while to be seated and even longer to get refills. The food was mediocre but the portions were large. The waitress asked if we wanted gravy and biscuits. Assuming that came with the biscuit...nope gravy was an upcharge. Wouldnt recommend this place.
Who doesn't like comfort food and pie? We have been satisfied with everything that we've had so far. They have good food for a reasonable price.
The breakfasts at frontier pies are some of my favorite in Rexburg. The skillets are always delicious and the staff is always very nice. I haven't tried their pies yet but I've eaten here several times. My only wish is that they would update the decor a bit and clean the restaurant. I like the rustic look but the tables are sticky which is a bit off-putting
So some of my impressions are atmospheric, and of course I only tried one dish, but the meat was tough, and the dish badly plated. The restaurant seemed . . . Tired. Like they were on an uphill climb against entropy. (Aren't we all?) But the staff were friendly, and there was plenty of homey food. And if the purpose of eating out is to have food you're used to but not have to do dishes, this place succeeds.
Very slow and a very empty day. Terrible food, but is there any good food in Rexburg?????
Don't get the vegetable side.... I say that more to remind myself that I don't like it than anything else! :) This is a good place
The food here was absolutely amazing! I wasn't expecting much going in, but they blew my mind. The food was really good, and the prices werent bad at all. They have everything from Dinner to Breakfast items. Their pies I have also heard are to die for, especially their strawberry rhubarb pie. I definitely recommend giving this place a try. They're a really good local eatery, with really good food.
The food was very good, our waitress was very pleasant.
Always a great place for breakfast. Great place to eat anytime you're in Rexburg.
Good food, a little pricey, nice atmosphere. Service is generally very good. Pies are with the trip.
I love eating here. The two best things about Frontier pies are the cornbread and the rhubarb pie, it's to die for!
Asked to sit by the window, then they sat me by the bathroom. The food was alright but should be better for the price
I love this place! Service is always friendly and the food is good.
Very nice place, undercooked my steak and the tables are a little shaky. But their service is good, they corrected the steak, and the food is excellent.
Waited 55 minutes for pancakes. Spoke to waitress and said we were in a hurry. After 55 minutes, we left, no pancakes. No drink refills.
The pies here are amazing. The food is exactly what you expect from a hometown resturant. It's all very good and great prices. The chilli is a hit with my family and you have to get a slice of sour cream blueberry pie!!
Such a wonderful vintage place to go get some food in Rexburg Idaho. This place is totally underrated and under visited. I have been to frontier pies just about every six months for 3 years and I like it more every time I go. The menu is massive and always has something that I am in the mood for. Their cornbread is wonderful and you can't go wrong with their steak. All around a great economic place to go out to eat.
We arrived at this unassuming establishment with the sole, childlike purpose of obtaining a simple home style meal. The climax of this meal was destined in our minds to consist of the holy grail of desserts, namely, Pie.
Upon seating, we were greeted by a dainty sprite of waitress, and our hopes were high. However, we soon came to the harsh realization that this night would not go as planned. We were only given two tiny mason jars for water, when there were clearly three adult sized personages in our company. Said water expired quickly, and we were left parched and alone for upwards of twenty long, excruciating minutes. Every waterless moment that passed in our secluded alcove of suffering not only dehydrated our bodies, but our faith in humanity.
When our food finally arrived after much abdominal protestations, it was sub-par at best. With every mouthful the joyful light that once gleamed in our eyes faded as the dying stars in the heavens. We struggled through, clinging to the distant promise of salvation via crusted dessert, but alas, we were crushed again when our inattentive, neglectful caretaker broke the news.
Despite its misleading title, there was only a single slice of the coveted confection in the entire establishment. And this single slice was nothing but a cruel mockery of what we had sought for so long.
Sugar Free Apple Pie.
Our souls wept, not only for ourselves, but for every disparaged, disappointed wanderer that has ever stumbled unwittingly into this farce of a culinary haven. The final blow to our already bloodied morale came as the bill was delivered. We had been led to foolishly believe that the special and all it advertised were included in the price listed. This was a lie. We were forced to pay an arm and a leg for the disgrace we had just ingested.
We had been led like lambs to the slaughter, doomed to a terrible, unjust fate that our innocent minds could not have foreseen. We weep still, lost souls, damned to a pieless eternity.
TL: DR ; Service sucked, food was meh at best, and there was not any pie left. Do not eat here if you have any self-respect.
I am surprised this place is still around. It doesn't attract a crowd at all and the reason is obvious. The food is bland and outdated. The only saving grace is their pies which are done well.
Had the best meatloaf and mashed potatos there, also great peanut butter and ,chocolate pie my husband loved his banana cream pie very friendly staff and clean restraunt.
We just had the soup and cornbread but it didn't disappoint! We didn't find it dirty at all. We love all the old antiques and the rustic decorations. The staff was very friendly!
This place rocks my socks off, so anyone who gives it a one sucks butt.
They must have been short-staffed when I came. Took my daughter and son here and it took 10 minutes for someone to come over and ask us what we wanted to eat and to drink. Food was served correctly and was tasty but it was frustrating enough that I won't visit this location again.
The service was good, there weren't a lot of people there, it was about 10:00am. It took about 45 minutes to get our food and my poor husband's food was cold, not even lukewarm. By the time we saw our waitress to say its cold, it wasn't worth the extra time to get it heated up...Was sad because we like to go to Mom and Pop restaurants and this was disappointing....
I am always satisfied when I come here! Great food and a fair price. I've had their pie a few times but their food is so filling you have save room for the pie! Or just take some to go :D
It is OK. I though the food was good, if not a little over priced. The service was great, but it was a very slow day.
When pulling up I was not sure how good the food would be. The landscaping is really run down. After reading some good reviews from not to long ago we decided to try it out. I'm so glad we did! I order chicken stips almost everywhere I go and these were by far the best I've had. The sweet potato fries were really good also. My husband though his stake was very good also. My only complaint is the bathrooms need a major overhaul (the crooked toilet drove me crazy! Haha) and the fry sauce was nasty. I'm not even going to take a star away for those since everything else was so great. Our server was great, she checked on us a lot. Food came out fast. I like the atmosphere. I would for sure go again!
My salmon was pale and tiny. Baked potato was old, vegetables were frozen and soggy. Cornbread was good though. It is sad because Frontier Pies used to be known for great food. However the service was good and they did take off the price of my meal.
Look, Frontier gets a bad rap sometimes. Yes it's old. Yes it's a bit slow. Yes they may be out of your favorite pie. BUT, the food there is tasty, the atmosphere is super fun (find your city on the wall!) and it fulfills that old time diner feel. Not a place I eat regularly, but a fun place to take a big family gathering.
i just called and was trying to order some cornbread and the female server was rude and very Mocking towards a request for price and to think professionalism is not in there standard of business practice!! i will never ever eat there and i will tell all my friends and family not to go to frontier pie in Rexburg!!!!
Biggest and yummy cinnamon rolls in the world slowest service in the world
