I had a delicious breakfast with a great waiter! I'll be coming back
The only reason of the four stars is these five. They catered to my grandkids beautifully.. THANK YOU!!!!!
The food was OK, but their pies are amazing! I found the price of food a bit to high for the quality I received, except for the pies. Local decor and architecture makes it interesting.
My wife's salad looked like it came from a frozen bag and also my sandwich had a moist almost wet lower bun.
Positives were the fries, and the Mason jars for your soda. Didn't want to waste money in case the pie was like our food.
I moved away and came back for a visit and wanted to order everything on the menu just to savor it all! Love this Restaurant! Great Food! Great Service! Great Family Restaurant!
Great pies and kind staff. I would go back again. :-) The decorations make you feel like you are stepping back in time to classic Rexburg.
Great home style, quality food. Large portions and drinks. The pie is very good and quality. They know how a pie crust should be.
Went for breakfast and was thoroughly disappointed. Took a long time to get our food and when it finally came it tasted very bland! Even the water had a funky taste to it. The serving sizes were large though, I'd definetly not recommend this place for breakfast!
We came for the pie, we ended up eating a full dinner. Their cornbread is amazing.
Chicken Hawaiian w/ teriyaki sauce on side
Vegetables
Mashed potatoes w/ gravy on side
Corn bread (not in photo; served ahead which was great because I was so hungry.)
I loved the mashed potatoes.
This filled me up just enough.
Price: $9:50
Salmon, is was the best. Cornbread and pie are awesome.
The food was good. The service has improved. The only thing they could use is the bathroom being renovated.
The food is good, I like their Navajo tacos. I just wish they would put a sign up or ask guests to not leave their dogs tied to their vans or trucks. It's been a problem for 2 days for residents next door, both early mornings and evenings.
Pie.... I like pie. Food was pretty ok but the pie was great
I have eaten here several times (with family, friends, etc...) and it gets more and more ridiculous. Inconsiderate service- the managers clearly don't prioritize the customer experience. I had to go again yesterday with a group of two families (about 18 people). We arrived and the girl who seated us put us on two separate tables that easily could have been pushed together. She made an excuse not to seat us all together and acted as though we were inconveniencing her. My husband and I ended up sitting with the four kids from the group and everyone else got to spend time together at the other table. The waitress brought water out for them, but neglected ours for 20 minutes. To make matters worse, we waited for more than an hour and a half for our food. Not the actual meal- an hour and a half for just the salads and cornbread. The wait is always twice as long as it should be. When the food finally came out, it was obvious that my husband's BBQ sandwich had been sitting out for at least an hour. The bottom bun was completely soggy and the top was stale and crispy. There was also a film over the pile of pork so we could tell it had been sitting for a long time while everything else was cooking. My Navajo Taco was sub-par. I've had several menu items here now and they have all been mediocre and over priced. This is not a good place to eat, especially if you're thinking of going in a big group. I've had one too many bad experiences here, and next time I will discourage anyone from going.
Service was good but that's about all - biscuits and gravy was very bland - everything was cold - wouldn't recommend going here
Loved the food. Ordered chicken fried steak, covered plate. Excellent prices n the slice of pie was awesome.
The taste of the food was great, the freshness not so much. I don't think they are busy enough to keep it fresh. I ordered chicken pot pie, like I said the taste yum, but it was microwaved. It came to me with hot sides and a cold middle. It had lots of gravy, so they either need to add more filling or more crust. Nice environment, clean, great corn bread, great waitress, overall nice place to eat.
The breakfast was pretty good! I got the ranch skillet and my wife got the hot biscuit breakfast. We were both pleased with the food and atmosphere. The service was a little slow, but not a big deal. We will be definitely coming back a second time to try some new things.
It depends on which cook is there. Awesome local country theme, but what a pain it'd be to dust and keep clean. If grandma wants to eat looking at an old washtub, well this is the place. Frankly talk her into something else in town. The building doesn't match the interior, which is a good thing. A very cool post modern architecture. Admittedly I'd like to see a Jetson's themed cafe thee instead.
very good food aside from the steak and pies, good respectful staff and great prices
The breakfast buffet is simple, but delicious! The pies are always great!
The food was only okay. We went on a Saturday morning, and they're pretty much always busy on Saturday's, yet they only had a couple servers. Needless to say, it took about 40 minutes to get our food.
Pretty good but also kind of depends on the day and the dish
Food was alright. Went on a Saturday morning when hardly anyone was there and it still took almost an hour to get our food.
Good food with a home cooked taste! The place is a little dated, but it's clean and the waitresses are great!
Waitress needs a little work I think kept helping ND serving people behind us before she got to us
Food was good. It took over an hour to get it. Server was a little cranky
Living in Las Vegas you think you see it all the food was great staff was wonderful the experience was very very well
We came in and sat for TWENTY MINUTES before anyone even asked us for our drink order. The place was almost completely empty, there was another couple that was seated after us but helped before us. Terrible service. Then when I finally got my food I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was literally just a chicken strip on a bun. We ordered a piece of pie afterwards for $4 we got the smallest piece of pie I ve ever seen. Save your money. If you want a good restaurant in Rexburg, go to Big Judd s.
We arrived at 8:30 and placed an order to go as we had to be at work by 9:00. We waited for a half an hour without receiving drinks- and then asked how long it would take to get our food. They explained we would be waiting another 25 minutes. It was obvious they were busy- but an hour wait is a little extreme. They were not apologetic whatsoever and we ended up having to leave empty handed. Definitely the last time for us.
Arguably one of the best restaurants in Rexburg. The best place to get classic meals and great pie.
Food is good. Landscaping is terrible. Table wasn't clean. Waitresses apron was filthy. Loved the cornbread. Didn't have time for pie.
Favorite restaurant in Rexburg. It's just a cofortable place.
Just the best pie !! You won't find anything better than frontier!
They have amazing food for a pretty average price. It's fairly old timey and Western and it puts off a good vibe. They have really good pies as well. I had the fish and chips and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend.
Legitimately the BEST fish and chips in town. I've tried all the local sit-down restaurants' fish and chips. They make their tartar sauce in house! Love it!
Frontier Pies is your basic diner. Typical American staples that you would find at any diner in a small town. Service was friendly. Food was pretty good. The menu could use a little bit of an update as could the plating of the food. Every plate is garnished with kale and an orange slice. 1975 called and they want their garnishes back.
Now the shining star of this restaurant is definitely the pies. The Chocolate Peanut Butter pie was very, very delicious.
The decor could use an update. The creepy mannequin in the bathtub doesn t really do it for me.
Good food, fun servers, and really liked the building.
I have seen a lot of low star reviews for this place and bad experiences. All I have to say is try it for yourself. I have yet to try the pies but they do a great breakfast. I intend to revisit and try the pies and see what else this rustic restaurant has to offer.
We stopped here on the way home from Yellowstone park. We got there thirty minutes before they closed. In spite of being so close to closing time, they were all very friendly and our food was fresh and delicious. We really appreciated their welcoming attitude. This is my favorite place to eat in Rexburg!
Older restaurant that is familiar to the locals. Hasn t been updated in in years but the breakfast is hearty and filling
We enjoy frontier pies! However, today we went CRAVING some breakfast food for dinner. As we were ordering, we were informed that they only serve breakfast until noon, WHICH IS FINE, we just didn t see anything on the menu telling us such. We will go back again, just wanted some breakfast!
Service was a little slow, but seeing as it was national Pii(pie) 3/14(3.14) day I can give that a break. The food was delicious, especially the cornbread!
Very small proportion size for a side of hash browns. Hot chocolate was barely warm. Our kids French Toast were hard as a rock (obviously overfried). Once the server came back 20mins later our kids didn't want it no more so we didnt ask for a replacement.
Server seemed to make everything a drag when we asked for ketchup and more coffee. Fun environment though and food wasn't entirely the best.
Casual, comfortable, home style food. Nice portions. Convenient locations.
Fun little restaurant. Unique environment and such. Pies were tasty. Went for a birthday and had fun. FYI, you can't light birthday candles due to some fire code.
Good food, fun atmosphere, I had the quiche but didn't get to try the pies. Portions were great! Had a group of 7 with us and everyone was happy.
What a neat home town restaurant. The cornbread and honey butter are to die for. The food and pie have never disappointed me. When I am near the area it is always on my radar.
Bathroom needs to be cleaner for SURE. But the food was good and the pies were yummy.
Atmosphere is terrific for city folk from California. Coffee is better than Starbucks.
Good comfort food. Love the corn bread and the pies!
Ordered from senior menu. Portions, flavor, service all good. Strawberry Rhubarb pie heated with ice cream priceless. Thank you
Not sure about the food. We were there for over an hour and all we had was our drinks and after that they never even refilled them or even offered to so. So we paid for our drinks and left. I don't know what they think is good service but this wasn't it.
It's always slow, but that's a good thing. My wife and I come here when we want to get away from everyone else. Service is always top notch, food doesn't take forever, and it's always tasted just right for us. It's one of Rexburg's better kept secrets.
For the record, this latest visit I had the chicken pot pie and my wife had the smothered chicken.
Good food, taste was great, affordable. Attentive personnel.
Not a pleasant experience. The food was barely warm, I ordered a nacho plate once, and they brought out those little round nacho chips you get for like $1.99 at Broulim's, covered with the same kind of "cheese" that you get in a can for hospitals, and something that could have been meat. The pies are not even as good as those little round pies you buy in Maverick for .79 cents, and the prices rival a 3 star restaurant's prices. The atmosphere was ok, but the servers stand basically behind you the entire time you eat, as if they are just hoping you will hurry and finish, so they can clear the table. How this place is still open is a mystery.
Deanna was amazing! My whole life I have been disappointed by every single person I ve ever met. But after eating at Frontier Pies and meeting Deanna, I am now a believer that amazing people are out there!
Great work Deanna.
Service was good, considering the amount of traffic. Salad was nearly spoiled, food was decent
Ate here 20+ years ago. Food is still the same, OK. Nothing great, but not bad. It the service that is lacking. Service is still poor. Maybe in another 20 years they will be better.
Cornbread and honey butter are great! Pretty good serving size but food is just meh. Unique decor setting, nice waitress.
A bit concerned about the cleansliness of this place but it taste good.
Good food, decent price and a very relaxed atmosphere
Delicious food for good prices and excellent service
The food is horrible and the service is ok food is better at the hickory
Very good food. I ordered the 10 oz. Top Sirloin. Medium Rare. Very juicy and delicious. Mashed potatoes were well spiced and the gravy was very pleasing. Drinks served in mason jars, a nice touch. Very delightful pie. Only thing that I didn't like was the slightly longer wait time. But I would certainly come again.
The breakfast exceeds expectations. I couldn't be happier and the staff is so friendly. They even will fulfill requests that are not on the menu free of charge.
this is a wonderful peaceful delicious place to eat
