The worst service repair department that you can bring your truck.

As with any used vehicle, people should be wary when buying a truck. You don't always get what you think...

I recently bought a truck from G.R. Freightliner and learned a lot. Truck dealers buy and sell other dealers trucks. ALL trucks should be reconditioned, but not all are. Especially those trucks not manufactured by the selling dealer.

When you buy a truck, you expect the reputable dealer to make sure the truck is reconditioned as the consumer is vulnerable. I made the mistake of buying a non freightliner truck from a freightliner dealer...

I lost $54k over the course of 2 months due to no one reconditioning the truck to make sure I was being sold a good truck. I was hosed and someone at G.R. Freightliner knew it.

My advice, NEVER buy a vehicle from a dealer that is not manufactured by that dealer and without a repair history. They WILL NOT stand behind you or the truck should you have trouble.

I must honestly say my trouble was my own fault. Not entirely the fault of G.R. Freightliner.
(Other than G.R. Freightliner selling a truck they bought and failed to properly make worthy of resale).
I learned a valuable lesson and pray people hear my advice and not suffer as I have.

When I called the manager of this store, I was hung up on. When I called the 800 number conveniently given by the owner in these reviews, I got the receptionist... (What the hell is she going to do to fix my problem?) Nice one Mr. Owner...

When I finally called the used truck manager, Dan F. in Kalamazoo. Dan was very sympathetic and helpful. I would recommend the trip to Kalamazoo and talking with Dan when buying a truck. It's worth the trip. He may not solve your problem, but I do not believe he will let you get hosed like I was in Grand Rapids.

Went in to pick up some parts. Super nice people. Made sure I has exactly what I needed.

I purchased an awesome select freightliner I love this truck.... had a hiccup some kind of actuator above the turbo blew out coolant... I was 200 miles from any freightliner please couldn t get it fixed by anyone close so I had to drive it to GR.... so far they put me to the top of the list to be fixed and I believe it s all covered by them the trucks only 2 weeks old not even 2k miles after I got her. But so far there working with me if everything works out I will up the star review.

Found ourselves in a rough spot (literally) after filling up a bus we borrowed with gas instead of diesel. Scott and the crew were not only generous enough to get us in right away but after hearing our story, was incredibly generous and donated the repairs. We are very grateful and cannot thank you enough!!!

Bought our second used truck here, Josh, the sales associate is experienced and responsible man. He knows what customers want and concerns. All sales process went thru smoothly, and he did good coordination work with his reconditioning team, Terry and his team member, Dan, the mechanic who were very knowledgeable and repaired what we found on delivery Inspection. The only thing we missed later while we were driving back home terminal was wiper spray. It does not work. No spraying motor sound. Maybe the motor is out. Recommend to do business with this people. Thanks Josh, Terry and Dan.

Compressor went out on my truck, and Marc got me in tonight, and the parts guy was great too, had a little mishap finding the compressor but got it done, great service, greatly appreciated guys,

If you re looking to get a new truck or your first truck go see Josh at Freightliner of Grand Rapids. My friends bought two trucks from him and it wasn t easy at all. Josh made everything happen and everything went so smooth. He did whatever we wanted. He is just the best. Thank you Josh for everything.

I wouldn t count on anyone calling you when you drop off your truck for service. Instead, they contact your financier. In the mean time, I waste an extra day, not making money, because I m waiting on a call to hear my truck is done. It makes total sense......if I had a lease through Toyota, I take my truck in to get service.......why would they call me?!?! They should call the financier right?!?! Lmao

Rude disrespectfull I come here all the time for parts it's as if they don't want to help you. There are few good guys. Anyways pretty expensive repairs and so on. Wouldn't recommend the service here.

They fixed my truck the first time and they have a really nice drivers lounge

Nice but don't have a big body shop. A 2 day job is taking 8 days. As a owner operator we need to get fixed and then get back out there.

Best parts dept. I've ever been to, service dept sucks. They allowed my trailer to be stolen, damaged & driven off their lot, would not take responsibility or compensate me fir $1090 of damages while overcharging me for truck repairs & Delivering later than promised. Never service your truck here. 5 times in a row they've cheated & lied to me.

Changed fuel pump and didn't need one but still charged for it . They just throw parts at problem

If you are looking for a turn key truck or trucks they can Deliver... Give them a call and see what they have to offer.. Mention my name and they will know you mean business.. They also have alot of great guys in parts and service..

Their parts department is very good, friendly staff, usually always gets the right parts.

I deliver new vehicle all over country for 12 yrs. Had to wait 2 hrs to have vehicle checked in after calling day ahead. "Its how we do things " is what im told. Terrible waste of time new units will rot in lot before I deliver here again

The 5 star rating I gave is for the parts department, they are very helpful and knowledgeable and if they ever do make a mistake (such as overcharging me or a mistake on a core return) they immediately fix it. Matt, Dan and Tom are super awesome.

Dealing with any other dealership is a pain but freightliner staff always takes care of my needs!

So sorry for the two stars but when I walk into a Freightliner Dealership I expect them to have the parts that I need. I need an exhaust bracket, a reverse light assembly and four lights that run at the bottom of the sleeper. They didn't have any of it.

It's Always been 100% customer service and satisfaction, I have also purchased 2 freight shakers ...2000 XL Classics from them and they are willing and able to negotiate...know that because of experience...GREAT PLACE....

Went there for chassis service on my 14 year old Class A motorhome. Service tech was extremely helpful and the cost was reasonable.

This is my go to Freightliner! ZACK in the Parts department is outstanding, his customer service, "service-driven" as it clearly shows through his professional, friendly and business communication they stock large variety of truck supplies and equipment. I have used thIs location multiple times and it always surprises me with how many random and useful items they have! You'll be surprised at what they have for your truck with almost no matter on the year of the truck. I have needed parts for multiple parts for a few trucks with varying years and makes. All in all, if you need parts for just about any truck with friendly service, stop in!!

This is by far the best Freightliner service department that I have ever had to deal with. Everyone took great care of me from Steven to Robert and the guy that helped me the most and I'm sorry I can't remember his name but you know who you are out there at that service desk that guy with those gray blue eyes and my mechanic MO you guys collectively gave me the best Freightliner service experience that I have ever had took care of me in a matter of hours on a water pump that actually wasn't the water pump it was a hose but hell I didn't know anyway fellas I appreciate your high level of professionalism and If Ever I make up your way I definitely stop by to get something worked on thank you much

Bought my first truck here, Larry was the sales associate, and he did an amazing job. The process was simple and no pressure, when I'm ready to buy a second truck I will be back to see Larry again.

Parts personal are great, and they always have what I need to keep my Freightliner on the road.

Very good place. If you owne a Peterbilt or kenworth ext. as long you have the part number please come here you will save money.
Air bags at kenworth over 200 dollars here I paid around 140.

Horrible customer service in ther parts department

Went there for parts and they went above and beyond to help get what I need and get on my way. The staff were very friendly and super helpful.

Worst service department in the whole US. Repairing a truck there will take u a week even if u have a appt for something simple like speed sensor. There service rap are rude and not helpful at all. On other note the parts deparment deserves 5 stars . Boys are freindly and will help you find what u need.

They are thife.i bought a truck from there .after 2 week check engine sing came .they changed me to much money .they did not fix the problem don t go there they are big thife

Do not buy truck from them. I bought a 2012 peterbilt 386 First week electrical problems. Truck was down for 2 1/2 weeks and the bill was $4500 and they said they will take care of it. But only covered half of it. two week later dpf problem and truck was in the shop for 3 weeks cost $2500 then again spring shackles, drag link, shocks, starter and couple more things cost me 2000 and now the motor mount is broke. It looks like that's about 8-12 hrs job and around 1500 to 2000 dollars job. they denied to do anything with it and suggested me to take the truck to peterbilt. Not to mention it still need brakes and tires. Tried going in to talk to manager and he was not available. Left message with josh and he said the manager will get back to me but never heard anything from them. This truck was bought in august 2017. So in three months I have spent almost $10k and only drove less then 20k miles.

Customer service and parts counter have always treated me fair. I thank them for that! Great job

Always have great service while working with the Freightliner service crew and parts department. Whenever I've had an emergency situation will getting ready for a two-day trip, and it seems like it does happen, they've always got me in and got me out the door as soon as possible. They're scheduling crew, Randy, Ryan and Mark in the service department, are top-notch, and their pricing is fair.

Called a week in advance to get truck in was scheduled to go in on a monday never pulled it in until thursday, then when supposedly the truck was done it ran worse when we picked it up then it did when we took it in so back to the shop it went took another 2 days for them to even look at it. Who knows how long it's gonna be. Still wondering if they took it for a test drive they couldn't tell something was wrong. I would like to see these mechanics go 3 and 4 weeks without a paycheck.
