Dinner and drinks are a must at least once a week! The food is consistently delicious and the team is lovely! The atmosphere is beautiful and the outdoor space is a great addition in the nice weather. I highly recommend it!

I came to this little treasure trove with my boss and co-worker to have a lunch meeting. This is a house turned restaurant.

When the weather permits you have a choice of eating indoors or outdoors. Since it was a nice day we chose to sit outside. The inside is very nice with great decor. The front is more for take out but they also have inside sitting in the back of the restaurant.

Choosing to sit outside since is was a nice day, we were lead to our table. We were given a complimentary bottle of water. Most of not all of the dishes involved some kind of pasta. I opted for the lump crab with spaghetti with marinara sauce. My co-worker being a diabetic ordered a sweet potato ravioli. Both dishes were extremely good, my lump crab was fresh and you could tell me he marinara sauce was fresh.

As far as the drinks, they offer soda, juice, water, coffee, beer, and wine.

Dessert is also an option. I decided on a slice of cake, which was so moist and fluffy.

The prices are pretty fair, an entree will cost between $15.00 to $18.00. The dessert between $3.00 to $5.00. The drink was typical of any other restaurant except the wine. The wine was priced based on the type of wine and whether you want a glass or bottle.

The staff was nice and friendly but a tid bit slow, but considering the amount to people dining and the number of wait staff it was understandable.

If I'm ever in the area during lunch or dinner time, I'll definitely dine here again.

Came here from out of town for a wedding and we were very impressed with the food as well as the ambiance. A little courtyard served as the location for the ceremony and the "stable" was converted into the reception area. It was all very nice.

Quite nice. Tasty food and great ambiance.

The outdoor patio was awesome.
We had dishes of eggplant and also sweet sauage with polenta, and both were tasty. A A bit pricey.

Nice ambiance and setting. Waiters and the greeter/host are fantastic and friendly. The food is worth the money, and I highly recommend the brisket on a bed of spinach with the mashed potatoes. The meat melts in your mouth, the bed of vegetables(most notably spinach) is not something you'd brush off on the side, and the potatoes were some of the best I've ever had.

Enjoyed this meal. Crowded, tight space but worth it! Nice waiter. 4 people shared: grilled octopus, Brussels sprout salad, mozzarella and arugala salad, cavatelli, eggplant, puttanesca and lamb ragu. Tiramisu, too! Loved all!

All around meh. Waiters fine but brusque. Pasta is nice but other dishes were very poor. Tables set around a large waiters station, stacked baby chairs and a disused bar made it feel like we were eating in back-of-house.

Don t bother going unless you have a lot of time. The place has one loo, and a tiny kitchen compared to the space they have so service is obviously terribly slow. So slow in fact that a friend on our table had to leave without eating on a 2 hour journey back home. To top it off, the staff have the audacity to demand a gratuity which isn t an entitlement. It s given if the customers feel it s worth it. We have all worked in restaurants and know when it s due and are religious about giving it when deserved but this place just ruined our evening. The bean soup was awful as well, bland and tiny portion sizes. Not going back.

I am a grizzled, impossible, rarely impressed New Yorker, but Frankie's 457 may be my favorite restaurant in the city.

The staff is ridiculously warm. You can show up in the middle of a Friday night rush and they will still act grateful to see you. There's no snottiness over your lack of a reservation, just a desire to help you out. If you're a New Yorker, you know exactly how rare this sort of treatment is!

The food especially the pasta is exactly what I crave after a long week at work. It tastes like the kind of recipes that families spend generations perfecting. I'd imagine you could convert a vegetarian here.

Really enjoyed Frank s meaty balls. Just the right amount of nuttyness. Not sure where the raisins were hiding though. I think I could taste them but I m not sure.

Overall we had good service. The wife wasn t really hungry so I got to enjoy two pastas too. It s only been a few hours and I m already craving more sausage cavatelli. Yummy

We booked a birthday party here. Loved the set up, and the option to make it a family style meal. It was so easy, and there was no annoying dividing of the check at the end. The back patio is gorgeous!

This place is no doubt one of the most attractive restaurants in the area. Anytime I come there I am greatly happy. They always keep their very high level service and the topmost level of dishes they offer. You definitely will enjoy this this restaurant. Highly recommended.

The customer service at this place is 10/10. We ordered the beef carpaccio, grilled squid and the grilled bread. The grilled bread paired in the grilled squid juices were to die for! The beef carpaccio was pretty good also just wish I had more of that white sauce that was topped on it.
Okay so the potato gnocchi is DEL-CIOUS. I got the spaghetti with the clams which isn't in a red sauce but I wasn't really a fan of that dish.

Cosy

It's been awhile since I wanted to check this restaurant (heard good reviews from IRL's friends but was somehow rebuke by the menu). I finally gave it a try for a lunch with my family.
My roast beef sandwich was excellent, but my wife ordered soup (good) and eggplant (not interesting at all : didn't taste any flavor) and my boy had meatballs (good).

It was overall a good culinary experience. I would definitely recommend the place for a lunch but don't feel I would like to go to the place for a diner

Had dinner here last night it was terrible, $18 glasses of mediocre wine and just generally a bad experience. Food was less than average at best, find some other cool place this isn't it...would never go back.

Beautiful food and wine and atmosphere, excellent service. The calamari Luigi, cavatelli and red wine prune dessert (don't let the word "prune" put you off) were favorites. Just do everyone a favor and mask up when the server is at your table. Don't be a jerk about it. Thanks for a glorious dinner.

Believe the hype, Frankie's IS all that and a bag of chips. Outstanding Italian in Carroll Gardens. Don't currently take rezzies but they'll put you on a list and call when your table is ready. Visit one of several cocktail bars nearby while you wait. Food is simply prepared and absolutely delicious. Service is friendly and reasonably attentive even on busy nights. It's definitely worth the trip!

We were apprehensive about dining inside in October but my son pointed out how many tables had been removed from its pre-COVID seating arrangements. The staff was very careful about masking & wore gloves. They were polite and helpful in answering questions. The portions were appropriate for the prices, and everything was really excellent. A lovely wedding was underway in the garden and we had a prime view of the celebration. There are many Brooklyn Italian restaurants but this one stands out.

So yummy. I got a gift card for Christmas and went in for lunch. The soups are my favorite but everything is really great. The lentil soup with bacon bits will not disappoint.

Inside it s all exposed brick and dim lighting. Nice spot if you are going on a date or want a romantic kind of feel.

My waitress was super nice and helpful when asked about the menu.

There is a backyard space, but I went in the winter so obviously there was no seating back there.

The seating situation is atrocious. There s a line even if the restaurant is half empty. A very frustrating experience and totally unprofessional. Last time we tried to give it one more try but faced a hostess who basically looked away and didn t even greet us and could care less if we stayed or left. So we left. Not a way to run a business.

Pros, the pasta was great (had the lamb ragu) but seated at the back it was really cold and drafty which meant that the food and coffee went cold quickly and it was a little uncomfortable.

Frankies has a wonderful patio which my friends and I enjoyed twice this past summer. I found a red wine on their menu that became my favorite. Their pastas are rich, the food brilliantly created and served.
