It was my first experience after covid lockdown, I manage in the restaurant industry and their protocols are not up to date. They were seating as many tables as possible. We were one foot away from the table next to us! They were wearing gloves the whole time serving. Touching dirty plates, glassware, shot glasses ect and then coming to our table handing us our clean dishes drinks and food - they could of just been sanitizing their hands after every touch point. It made me feel so uncomfortable and not safe. I had to flag a server down after waiting 10 minutes. Unprofessional, unsanitary, and bad service. Won t be coming back.

My husband and I were in town visiting from California last weekend. After a few hours of shopping at the outlets, we asked around for a place to eat and have drinks. We were told by some local patrons to try their local neighborhood pub Frankie Gs. Great variety of beers and food was just what we needed. Thank you to the staff for making us feel at home! Hope to come back some day
Nice atmosphere, good staff, but feeling ripped off. My buddy and I working in the area went for lunch and both ordered the beef burger. Server asks:
"Would you like cheese? Would you like bacon?"
My buddy said yes to cheese and I said yes to both. Burgers were good but not remarkable. Average pub fare. Fries were fair but not good in the sense most were 2 inches in length. Bottom of the bag.
They scam you. For cheese they charge $1.50 and bacon $3 extra. $4.50 more. Majority of pubs include these extras on the menu or charge much less as an add on. $3 for one small strip of bacon split in half is a scam. You've been warned.
My bill was cents shy of $20 before tip for a decent burger and mediocre fries. A&W Uncle burger down the street would have been better and much cheaper.
Came from Annacis Island for lunch. Hesitant to come since hearing about wait times for food. No delay & good service. Had the burger & fries. Others on the table had club house & salads. Everything good. Looks like they have a good selection on tap. I will be back one day after work to try that!
Horrible experience; the owner and staff became hostile and offensive instead of helpful and informative, after my partner's mask fell on their dirty floor. Total disrespect for the fact that we chose to support this business in such trying times. Never going back. Could have supported a better business, instead of this one this evening.
Frankie G lunch on fathers day with my son and close friends was a great experience today. Sitting out on the on the front deck enjoying a cold beer and what I thought was one of the best burger I have ever had .......the food was spectacular . Thank you Frankie G for making my day the best.
Didn't know there was such a hip pub located in the middle of no where, a friend of mine hosted his bday there a few days back and that's when I get to experience this pub.
The food was fresh and delicious, cheap drinks and nice decor plus they had a live DJ which made the night that much better with some of my favorite Tunes. All the staff working was friendly and quick.
I will definately be coming back soon and highly recommended this place to others to try our if you haven't.
The worst service ever. Food arrived more than an hour later. Manager was arrogant. Made as feel it was a privelege to wait for the food. The place was not even full. Food was bland. Come here only if you are super full as you may end up waiting or not eating your food.
We have been going to Frankie G'S every Wednesday, last night had the best experience. the bartender was awesome and along with the G/M great food would recommend this pub to anyone
Good food menu and beer selection. Lots of televisions to watch your team of choice. And a little train goes by right outside the front window!!! We will definitely go back
I am new in the neighbourhood, have been the a couples of times, tried different options and I really like the food, good atmosphere to drink some alcohol , good service as well.
A really nice surprise. This is the first time eating out since lock down in march. Staff food service all excellent. Super clean in side very conscious of keeping social distancing and CLEAN. FOOD was great . Decent price . Server was lovely and very attentive. Chef Dante Ramos Really knows food and taste.
Everything was pretty good except they ran out of their beer special, this should never happen at a pub!!! I was disappointed as I bet were many others.
Great food! Great staff, very friendly. Good COVID safety protocols, all staff wears masks and they barriers between tables. Only issue is the owner or manager who refuses to wear a mask most of the time, sometimes he will have it hanging off one ear, bad example for the rest of the staff
Pub food at Restaurant prices $20 steak special was fatty and tough, cold vegetables; I sent it back and ordered a Cajun Chicken burger in it's place, which was mediocre at best. You could forgive the lack luster quality if prices were reasonable, but most entrees are in the $18 to $25 range, so there is much better value available pretty much anywhere else. Server knew nothing about their beers, seriously, this is a pub; I don't expect an encyclopedic knowledge of brewing practices, but a basic knowledge of what's on offer should be a minimum requirement. I visited on a Saturday night and the place was basically empty; word must be getting out. Free shuttle is a great idea, but I have not used it, so can't comment
Atmosphere was nice but the food was mediocre. Also I noticed they use the cheap ketchup not the actually Heinz ketchup most good restaurants use. Also in my pasta bowl there was a small plastic piece or something like that and it was actually really hard piece as it started hurting my teeth. Do not recommend and never coming back
WORST WELCOMING EVER! The guy that I suppose is the manager was very rude , we where just entering with our little dog and he approached to us just saying NO WAY! no dogs allowed, go out, this is a restuarant (very sarcastic)!! Not even hello or in a nice way, considering this is a pet friendly neighborhood. Any way my husband ask if he could be able to watch a soccer game on the weekend and he replied to him in a very rude way mentioning he open at 11... what does that even mean?? So disappointing , we didn't even have a chance to look at the menu and we are already not coming back.
Since we are new to the area and considering it is in our own backyard, we decided to check out Frankie G's on Saturday night. On first impression the place was busy, which is a good sign or so we thought. We were seated fairly quickly, we then had to wait 15 minutes for anyone to come by and take our order. We finally were able to order our drinks and food. 30 minutes later still no drinks or food. I can understand the food part but not the drinks, it was a beer and a glass of wine. I waved the server over and she was surprised that we had not received our drinks yet. Another 10 minutes and still nothing. After all this waiting we left, as we were walking out the door one of the staff asked us if everything was ok, we replied that we had not received our drinks or food. We wanted to have a local place where we could go out for drinks and dinner. If they had good customer service we would be here every weekend, too bad. This place fails to understand the importance of good customer service and underestimates the power of negative reviews. Continued horrendous customer service like this will sink them in the end. What a disappointment.
decent food, good service, price is reasonable, a lot of big TV screens. One little complaint beer was not cold enough to my liking. (at least from my experience once), will definitely spend some time there again the coming summer
Love it! Great atmosphere and space! Food is delicious Waitresses were super friendly and very helpful. One of the only places I've found that serves Hopping mad cider!! Will be back for sure. They said they may start up a community shuttle service soon as well, pick up and drop off service. What could be better
Small menu expensive wine from tap and always seem to be out of at least one thing we want to order. Hope they get organized as we waited 3 years for them to reopen. No brunch menu I just found out.....sigh
Came to your pub for the very first time. I was blown away by the customer service of Michelle. She was super friendly. She kept asking if she could get us anything and if we were content. She presented us with top rated service. Thank you Michelle, for a great first experience ps. The food and beer was great too
Nice pub! Friendly bar staff and management. They are in a unique situation as their clientel transitions from industrial workers to local residents, and i dont really think they have a clue how big the gold mine they are sitting on could be. Menu has improved dramatically since the after-fire re-open, but they would be wise to observe what their competitors across the river are doing, happy hour prices on food, not just drinks would be a start. Trivia nights, karaoke or whatever works should be tried - their competitors are doing it, and they are not far away. While I can walk to Frankie Go's, at this point their competitors know me by name.
Tall man with pony tail needs help with his customer appreciation skills. In the case he is management, then I would say management needs improvement. Really Nice restaurant. Great food. Staff is nice.
Other than the location, the food, beer selection, atmosphere, service is great. Expand and improve the patio, and do more to attract people, maybe from the q2q ferry from the quay?
I have to say that I want impressed by their food. I ordered the creamy carbonara for takeout and the portion was small, the noodles were quite dry with very little in the way of sauce, and they was very little bacon and the bacon that was there was soft with absolutely no crunch. I would not order food from here again. I did note though that they have a free shuttle that will pick you up and drive you home, so if you like drinking this seems like a good option.
Just reopened after a long time being closed. Friday night was packed, what was to be expected..nice outdoor area. Tried the cajun chicken, quite underwhelming for 15 bucks. But hey, it is early days, get your speed and standards up and you will be fine.
I waited 2 years for this place to open after the fire as I live close by. Very disappointing food very marginal at best and over priced. They have no happy hour for drinks or food which is unacceptable considering what the Match Pub has down the street. Fortunately the ferry is opening up soon so Port Royal residents can go to the Paddle Wheeler pub for $2 each way and enjoy food and drinks at a quality pub.
I went there all the way from Ridge Meadows for lunch with gift certificates that I purchased a while back,this place is closed for ever!!!!! Total bullshit. No one answered the phone is why I went all the way there in the first place,thought it was due to busy lunch service. Scammers!!!!!!!
A nice local pub with pretty good food! Somethings are a little more expensive that I would pay - but that s not the case for everyone! I d recommend going and you ll definitely leave with a full, happy tummy!
I'm not sure but I think their menu is smaller, yet more sophisticated. The meatball sliders are ridiculously good as well as the soups. Their wings are cooked to perfection. I came here many times before the fire and when I returned they did not disappoint.
Willing to give this place another try, however I need to go through the horrible experience we just had.
Summary: Sat at a table Immediately Waited 10 minutes for a server to come and take our order Ordered waters and asked what Ciders they had Server said Okanogan and another cider, but had to check. Took our food menus, without taking our order, and then realized that she didn't and asked if we were ordering food. I said we would order when we order drinks She came back 5 minutes later to tell us they had Palm Bay (not a cider) We asked for a drink menu at this time, where one of us ordered a cider and a pizza Still no waters at this point Got the drink menu, and there was Strongbow cider on the menu. and yes, it said CIDER right next to it... A different server came to check on us, so we placed an order for a Strongbow. Our server came back out (without drinks) 10 minutes later to check on us and see if we wanted to order more food. I told her at this point we just want the waters we have been waiting 15 minutes for :( Then our ciders came out (no water). The Okanogan cider was a growers, so it got sent back for being the wrong drink FINALLY Water Arrived. 25 minutes after the order placed I was told the food was on its way....
During this time, when i asked the server for the waters we ordered, she apologized and said they were busy and walked away. there was approx. 5 tables seated inside and 3 tables seated outside.
Busy hey? That makes me worried for how slow they are during an actual rush.
I will give this place another shot, because the pizza was actually decent (i had it packed up to go before it got dropped at the table) and this place was nice looking, and in a decent area compared to work.
Great fun nights are had here. Miss this place and neighborhood. Food is alright but the people make it worth going to; especially during event nights.
I am not sure if this review/rating was exactly fair but seeing as how the bar didn't have half the things that we were interested in, I couldn't give it much of a chance.
I came here and had the truffle fries, yam fries, and jalapeno poppers. All the food was mediocre and not much of a wow to them. Rather standard bar quality fries and appetizers.
For drinks, we tried to order some cocktails they had on their website but the waitress said they do not make those anymore and the menu is not up to date online. So we asked for a drinks menu which her reply was "Hmm, we might have thrown all of them out", which was surprising because I thought this was a local neighbourhood watering hole. Afterwards, we tried to order a white wine they did not have, we settled on a beer that was posted online and a house white that they said they may or may not have. Eventually we tried to order a Bellini that they also don't have at the moment. All in all, the drinks situation at this local pub is really weird and needs some better management.
Service was excellent as the waitress kept coming back to make sure we were still good and only dropped off once it started getting busy, which is fair.
Parking is easy as they have their own parking lot.
Nice little spot tucked away. Food is good, atmosphere is okay (every time I've been, there has been drastic differences in atmosphere), service is mediocre, depending on the time and season. I've noticed during busy periods, the servers just can't wait to get you in and out the door as fast as possible. Coming from Europe, I have always found this a frustrating North American standard for service. Almost every time, I had not finished one course before the next was dropped on the table. This to me is extremely bad service and rude at best. However, the servers and staff are generally friendly and accommodating. The fire pit outside in the summer is quite nice to relax by too. Their lamb shank is very good and their burgers and great too. Price is reasonable for the area.
Hidden gem in the Queensborough neighbourhood. Staff are super friendly! One time we went there during a game and it was packed (this was pre-covid), and the bartender, Jay, went above and beyond and managed to squeeze us in at the bar. 5/5! Make sure you try Frankie's Lager!! Smooth, light lager! Also addicted to their Chilli Fried Squid - burst of flavours, spicy, salty, garlicky, with crispy deep fried squid.
Food is just typical pub food but all the on tap beers are nice and fresh - I feel I ve tried most of the on tap beers that day - we ve only ordered appetizers and all of them are well-seasoned and delicious. Service was excellent and really enjoy the atmosphere here. Great location with large screens for sports.
Horrible experience, decor is very nice but that's where it ends... Server had no clue about drinks or what's on special.. no waters.. all the food came out before our cutlery. Had to grab our own napkins.. the food was bland ketchep looked crusty and old! The bill took 40 minute to show up AFTER the table was cleared. Server was inexperienced and it shows. Will give it a few months before I go back hopefully they improve.
