We went there for the first time recently. The ambience was really great, the staff were super friendly and the variety of drinks was impressive. BUT the food was sub par at best. We ended up having to send the wings back- they were that bad. Our other 2 appies were okay- nothing special. I would go back for drinks but definitely not for food.
This place is just getting on its feet. It has potential but lacks atmosphere. The entrance is strange. We walked up a ramp to the front entrance and found a locked gate and found we were in the doggy park. We had to look for the main entrance. Food was ok.
Friendly and professional staff (5/5) but there s something wrong in the kitchen. I get that there s a couple parties of 6 in here at lunch too, but what does it take to add a 7th burger to the line? Instead I waited 40 minutes for my lunch and had to take it to go...no compensation for the delay either.

Food is decent. However, the service is questionable. Customer care is pretty much a foreign phenomenon. Last time I checked in, I had to wait at the entrance for at least 8 minutes just near the reception desk. Not that the place was busy or full or there were no waiters around, they choose on purpose to ignore me one by one.
First of all, there was an Asian bar tender, made eye contact with me and walked away to the other side of the bar where he couldn't see me. He was latter found flirting with 2 of the waitresses at the bar during my 8 minutes of waiting so that I could be seated in the half empty restaurant. While he started flirting with the waitresses at the other corner of the bar, both the white Caucasian waitresses made eye contact with me one by one, knowing fully well that a customer is waiting to be seated but refused to take the ownership of the situation. Finally a female Asian lady came out of the back of kitchen to the front desk (apparently it was her designated job to seat the customers that day) to show me my seat. 3 members of the staff plainly refused to prioritize customer service over flirting with a co-worker.
My Tip: Go to the restaurant for above average food by Queens borough standards and treat this 3rd rate staff accordingly. I didn't pay any tip on my last trip (won't pay tip again) and I won't be waiting at the entrance next time I show up (if at all). It happened on 24th of Jan,2015 6:30 pm
This place is amazing. Definitely brings that gastro pub DT vibe to the burbs. With its new trendy vibe and delicious home comfort food menu with a professional twist this place is always a great hangout. Brunch here is amazing too. Their hollandaise sauce is to die for.
Since the pub opened after a fire, it has lost its character. The menu is poor and limited and quite expensive! Paid $21 for a plate of nachos, with no meat!! They do not offer a Chardonnay wine which my wife drinks!! How about that!!
Very happy they have Guinness back on tap! Server was positive and attentive. I wish they had specials on appys during Canucks games. Saturday only has steak dinner. Will be back again.
Wings tasted like they came from the microwave, service was ok she seem upset by something so wasn t overly friendly. Guess expected more after being closed so long.

I had not been here for over a decade. A really great little pub where the food is high value. Lits of drink options. Try the cider. So good. Can get busy when there is a game on. But isn't that the point of a pub?
We re so glad to have Frankie G s back. After being closed for two years they are still working out some kinks, but nothing unmanageable. The food is delicious. The staff are friendly. The local beer variety is really good. I have nothing but good things to say!

Wait time is quite long even on a quiet Monday afternoon. I ordered the chicken sandwich which tasted quite nice. Outdoor seatings can be full of bugs in the summer.

Great food and good drinks. The bartender named Jeffrey is the best guy you can find around. He treats you like family and makes sure you are taking care of and makes you feel like you are number 1 in the whole place. I will be coming back regularly and often cause of jeff and the staff

As someone who lives in the Port Royal neighborhood, I m very happy to have a pub and grill within walking distance. Decent selection of local beers on tap, for a reasonable price. There s also a free shuttle to take you anywhere in New Westminster or surrounding neighborhoods on Thursday through Saturday nights. Great to get on the Skytrain quickly!
The food is also quite yummy! I tend to get the veggie burger, and my family enjoys the pasta and pizza dishes. The only negative thing I ve heard is from my dad, who found the Frankie burger patty to be overcooked, with the other burger reminding him of a Whopper.

I was at this pub with 2 of my girl friends on Sunday to watch football and for early dinner and I was so disappointed there was so many people at one table yelling and screaming and also not wearing masks . there was 9 guys sitting at one table and they were walking around going from table to table and with out masks they were all talking so loud and swearing we decided to just leave . When we were leaving there were 4 or 5 guys from that table outs side the front door smoking pot again with out masks and smoking pot , Smoking pot in public places is against the law . This pub seems to have no idea and seems to not care about customer safety and breaking the law.
We will never go back to this pub again.

We were in the Queensborough area looking for a place to eat when I thought of this place. Always meaning to dine for a while now but never had a chance. Anyway, we finally did it! We were so hungry we forgot to take food pics. It was Happy Hour when we came. We had the Spicy Beans, Truffle Fries, Steak Bites, and Salt&Pepper Wings. All good and yummy! ...and the service was excellent. Go check them out if you haven't! They're just a minute or two from the Queensborough Shopping Centre.
One of the original, of not the original, Queensborough pub. Very quiet area, nice high ceilings, and a real good at home feel.
wine list Is very limited and staff wasnt very friendly but the good was great.
Just got a new menu and love it. Had the ahi tuna salad, fish and chips and spicy seafood pasta. Ps the kids menu with the mac and cheese was awesome, I couldn't stop taking bites from it, but they did give us the full size portion though given their new just came out.

Service was good. Food is good. Food items are about 2-3 dollars more then they should be. Appy menu is limited, they have Appy hour but the prices are high. $10. For wings during Appy hour is not really special. The inside has made from crafted wood and its nice and roomy.

I have been in this PUB like 3,4 times and it is a perfect place to hang out. I have tried stake, fish n chips and burger in that place and all of them were perfect. people are friendly and I absolutely recommend this place.

I love this place. The food is always right on. When we went we had the Triple Meat Meatballs, the tomato sauce has just a bit of spice but not to much. The meat balls were tender and not over seasoned. We also has the spicy calamari, which is not that horrible pre breaded stuff you usually get.
For our mains we had the Lamb Shank and The Steak, the Lamb was super tender and the Steak cooked perfectly.
I gave five star for the food but our server was a bit flighty ( didn't ask how I wanted my steak and didn't bring cutlery and giggled when we asked for it ) and they were out of some of the drinks at the bar.
I know that the steak is of nice quality but you don't have HP sauce. She said the chef doesn't allow it but he's not eating my steak.

For all of us in the Queensburough area of New West neighborhood this is the go to pub - yes, the only real pub in our direct area - but it s actually a really nice place! Great service almost all the time too. Foods gotten a lot better too. I d say yes, thumbs up. I only say 4 stars because they don t have a drink that I go crazy for yet- but they do have lots of drink selections, a great happy hour, and great sliders, truffle fries, nachos and a patio for warm months.
The Red Sangria will always bring some added sunshine to an otherwise gloomy winter day.
Place looked great new server was too pushie came to our table way to many times when we were just chilling extra sauce on a 21 $ ribs charged me 2 bucks are you serious!
We ordered Nachos Grande, it was grande alright but there was and I m not kidding 5% cheese topping, absolutely not enough other regular toppings I.e tomatoes, green onions & olives.
For $19.75 + tax it s a rip off and so is other food here. It s no wonder less people frequent this joint.
Well lesson learned and now no more, Union Jack up the road is waaaay better so don t waste your hard earned money here.

Still disappointed. Food is not great. Prices went up, quality and size went down. Reno's look good but not enough of a draw to go back.
A group of us met here for dinner and appetizers. No complaints on the service or food in particular, but the prices are some of the most expensive of any pub around. Our, rather small, platter of nachos for two was more expensive than most pubs charge for a full serving and the portions on this and several other meals were meager; our server was even apologetic for it.

I recently threw my husband his 40th bday at Frankie G's. Everyone at Frankie G's went above and beyond to make sure our party was a huge success. Nothing but amazing things to say about the pub. The staff was amazing and accommodating! Not to mention the food was delicious and the ambiance was perfect. I will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends. Check this place out!

Came in this past weekend for the first time ever and I'm surprised to see quite a few recent poor reviews. No issues with food, service or promptness and we even left saying how we'll definitely be coming back! A hidden gem in my opinion :)
