My girlfriend and I went for lunch for the first time at Frankie Gs pub in New Westminster and I must say the place was excellent from the time we were met at the front door to the time we left , They have great covid19 safety measures in place and all staff and customers were wearing masks and made us feel safe . The food and the service was great , The server was very polite and positive and on the ball , the food was great and very tasty . This pub seems to be very well managed .
I highly recommend this pub and we will be coming back.

For a restuant that just got up on its feet again I think that the disorganization and chaos is normal.

The food and drinks were average but the restuant is beautiful and the staff are really friendly!

The food was amazing - clearly made in house with care. The jalepano poppers are awesome, definitely not frozen stuff from a box. Salmon burger was a lovely piece of fish delicately cooked. Wonderful!

Great service and atmosphere. However, I ordered the steak sandwich and cesar salad and they were just okay. The steak was cold and the salad was quite dry. Drinks were excellent and so was our server!

Since it reopened, thought it would be nice to try there food again, I guess since it s reopening it would be a bit disorganised which is understandable. However the food was disappointing. My wife had the lamb chop and it was tough and the mash was cold. I had the burger which was nothing special. I m not sure if they changed owners but definitely not what it was used to be. Not only did my wife displayed the food was not good to the server, but she just ignored it as if nothing ever happened. Disappointed in the level of service perhaps they should just stick to bar food and keep it simple if they cannot maintain good level of food quality.

The great venue and friendly staff scores most of the points from me. Perfect if you're looking for a few beers in Port Royal. This was our first time in since the reopening. Food was average and none of us were impressed. It feels like a missed opportunity to reinvent after a long awaited reopening. With the Q2Q ferry in play there's much better places at hand.

My girlfriend and I just moved to Port Royal, and I was very excited to have a "local" within walking distance.

We've been here a few times, and every single time, due to various reasons, the overall experience is average.

The food is average. It's a pub, so I don't have high expectations, but often items come out luke warm/cold, or cooked incorrectly. Nothing has blown either of us away yet, but we're hopeful these are growing pains from the reopening.

Service is average. Most servers seem to be new or newish, and so we'll forgive them for not knowing everything. The wait time for the bill has been my biggest issue. Tonight we waited over 25 minutes. Although there appeared to be an unplanned party that showed up (looked like it was easily over capacity). But to be ignored when we're trying to pay and leave was not pleasant.

Again, overall, this place is average. Due to proximity we'll probably go back, but we're one or two more poor experiences from using the Q2Q or driving to get our fix.

I would recommend the owner(s)/manager(s) read the reviews and get a handle on what appears to be common trends before it's too late. All the 5 star reviews lack detail, and feel phony.

This a great pub, even if you're more of an eater than a drinker. Everything - ambiance, service, food quality and presentation, I suppose the alcohol - is excellent. I can't wait to return without my kid and car, and actually drink. They even have a shuttle!

Went here with my manager for lunch, I got a bun-less Frankie G burger - meat was dry, overcooked. $2 extra to have cheese/ mushroom which was a ripoff. Salad was good, loved the dressing. My manager got the cajun chicken sandwich, she said it was okay. Soup of the day was potato leek which was WAY TOO THICK and chunky, she had to send it back and got the clam chowder for free as a replacement. Clam chowder was nice, with the right consistency (it was a little bit disturbing to see oil droplets on the surface of the soup but it tasted good). Beer was served in a glass with the wrong size. Service was good but the food is way worse than two years ago and more pricey.

Their food and menu have improved a lot, way better when they first stated last year.

Went to Frankie G's for lunch labour day. I had the clubhouse and salad which was decent. My wife had the Frankie Bowl (I think that's the name) which is on the brunch menu. The bowl was supposed to be eggs, hash browns, cheese, and sausages all mixed in a bowl. The sausages were missing. When informed about the missing ingredient, we were offered the sausages on the side rather than providing a new serving. My wife declined and sent the dish back as she wanted the dish prepared as intended. Later we were informed that the kitchen was offering to now reheat what was left in the dish for my wife. We were not impressed and just asked for the bill. We will not return.

It's hard to find fault with this pub. They have excellent service with great food. We were there on a Wednesday and the place was quite quiet, which made our party very enjoyable. When we did have a small complaint they more than made up for it with comps all around.

I rarely give a place five stars the first time. I made an exception for this place. Now that I have enjoyed the place a second time, I stand by my decision.

I would have no problems recommending this place.

Use to be very good before covid, i am not too sure what s happened, but i have tried several times and it is not good any more, very dry, no taste, missed few things in the order. I will not go back there as it does not taste good anymore.

I found the food and service to be outstanding! A very personable and clean establishment, it seemed as though the staff enjoyed working there. I didn't wait for more then 30 seconds at the door before at least 2 waitresses asked if i needed help. With the quality of food that was presented it seemed more like an upscale restaurant then a pub with $6.95 Appetizers available from 3 - 6 pm happy hour. I will definitely be going back as it is the best spot to watch all the games and UFC with the 50 foot big screen. I seen a fire pit outside too but didn't sit there, it looked nice :)

My buddy and I went here to watch a UFC fights. We don't really like watching fights in a bar as you can usually never hear the commentary. Well, the Jason, the manager made sure that this was not going to happen here! The sound was cranked! Even so, it was still hard to hear but I appreciate the effort. Here's a tip, go outside to listen to the post fight interviews. It is much quieter out there and there are outside speakers.
This is a beautiful bar. Lots of wood and industrial design. A very nice outside patio for the summer. There is even a fire bowl set in the middle of one of the larger tables.
As for the food, I was very impressed. I had the burger. Freshly ground beef with a very nice bun. My friend had the chicken strips. He said the chicken was not greasy at all, the dips were homemade, and the chips were done extra crunchy like he asked. Nothing at all to complain about.

I really want to like this place because it's our local pub and the staff is always friendly and the service is good.
They have a good selection of craft beer and it's a great place to watch a sporting event.
However the food is average at best and I would agree with the reviewer that said it's pub food at restaurant prices.
We've been there enough to know what not to order although I have to mention that the brunch menu is quite good and the prices are more reasonable
If you're just looking to have a few drinks and watch a sporting event then I would give it a 5 out of 5. but I really wish they would do something about the quality of the food and the prices

So glad we found this place! We went for brunch and they were delish! Recommend the salmon benny and the breakfast sandwich. Price reasonable and staff was great! Was gonna give it 4 stars but then they let pups in the patio too, so 5 stars it is!

Nice enough place with friendly staff and typical pub menu. As chicken wings are the most popular appetizer in north america, i tend to judge the food in general by the effort they put into their wings. I would say close to no thought whatsoever. Any place that has the only hot flavour as Frank's hot sauce on battered wings has never tried them. Sauced wings shouldn't be battered or breaded because they are mushy by time they get to the table. Come up with some creative hot flavours and figure out how to keep them crispy. Sorry guys but i wouldn't go out my to stop by for the ones you have.

Overall, my group had an OK experience, but I do have some constructive criticisms.

We ordered wings and nachos, and immediately the server asked if we wanted to add extra cheese. I asked if she thought the nachos needed more cheese, and to her credit, she said honestly: Yes the kitchen is not the most generous with their cheese. I got the sense that customers are generally unhappy with the quantity of cheese so she was trying to warn us. This surprised me, because generally you shouldn't need to pay an extra $5 for a standard amount of an ingredient on a dish. But hats off to her for her honesty.

The wings were a bit overly battered for my tastes, and not crispy at all, but some people might like the sauciness they were well cooked at least.

My dining companion also noted that the women's bathroom had no soap...and it took two requests for them to refill the dispenser. This took her back a bit, because most of the staff serving drinks and food were women....

Overall, the service was excellent and we enjoyed the patio. But there could definitely be improvements. The shuttle service is also definitely cool, but the driver solicited tips.

Good place, friendly staff and looks like the menu has a good selection. Ordered wings, they were delicious. Only flaw is everything is a bit expensive. The daily specials were reasonable so if you were coming here id say check what the special is that day and expect to order it.

Been here over a handful of times since the opening date and let me tell you.... the food has been terrible every single time. I ve ordered various menu items (the few menu items that they have, as I ve been told multiple times that they didn t have certain things that were on their menu) An easy way to get sick is to order Frankie G s fish and chips, they had the texture of rubber, almost tasted frost bitten (super gross) The beer menu looks great on paper but don t expect to get the beer you like because chances are they don t have it. Not a very presentable place either. I would not trust some of the staff members handling my food.

I only gave it 4 stars because it s a wait. The place is really great. I have not had a bad meal here yet. The staff is fun and kind. The beer is cold and they have plenty. But because it s really great, it s always busy. Make a reservation if you can or get there before the rush. It s hard to not like it.

From the moment I walked in, the waitress was very unhelpful, Aswell as treating my girlfriend way better than me. The waitress takes our order and I mention to my gf the rude treatment and my gf noticed. She comes back with our drinks and she put in in a DIRTY CUP!!! DURING A PANDEMIC. The cup wasn't washed at all. It still had wet fruit on it and she gave it to me. THAT'S CRIMINAL, this place has ppl that try to poison ppl during a pandemic and should not be open. They're crooked!!

Food was ok but the service was terrible. One of our friends has a gluten allergy and the server was not very attentive. He made it clear he was allergic. He asked about the croutons on his salad and she assure him they were gluten free but he asked for her to double check. Was not gluten free at all. I asked for a drink twice as did my boyfriend and we both didn't get them. Shame because the food was good but this ruined the visit and sadly we won't return.

FrankieG's has just reopened the staff are all new so an accurate assessment is tough a good menu though not the cheapest (appx $4 more than local Greek for lamb shank) it's not outlandish, ambiance is fair but I went before 8pm so there may be children there. I will go back once it's been open a little longer and update my opinions.

Nice little spot for lunch and a cold one. Spacious layout. The friendly wait staff did an excellent job serving our larger group that arrived without a reservation. Good draught beer selection. Looks like they have a nice fenced dog area below the outside patio. We will definitely return with pup when the weather warms up.

We were there for a fund raiser for a local school event and were impressed by the food and the amazing servers. Would definitely not have been the easiest or best circumstances for them but they were all cheerful, friendly and gracious. Really exceptional! The burger was awesome and the fries were fresh up and hot. DJ was excellent and it was a great evening. Great decor and interesting area with the train running right by the place. Recommended and will return!

This place is a jewel for the people of Queensborough. The historic building where he lives is very well renovated, decorated and highlighted. The terrace is beautiful although next to a railroad.
At first glance the menu may seem simplistic with typical dishes that you will find in any pub, they add however a personal touch that brings refinement to these classic dishes. For example, the cabbage salad served with fish-and-chips is of a finesse and complexity worthy of a great restaurant.
The ratio of servers to customers is high and the quality of service is impeccable. The location is a little unusual (industrial area nearby) and the place seems destined for a local clientele living in Queensborough, but if you are in New West and even Delta it is worth the detour to try this pub. Also note that the place offers a free shuttle service to take you home if you have had a drink too many.
