Had a really bad experience with this firm (critical oversights in the completion of my tax return, lack of due dilligence, dishonesty, etc). The severity of the sloppiness was such that I had to employ another firm, at the last minute and at huge expense, to re-do the entire tax return. Frank Hirth came recommended as solid, so the poor calibre of the work is unexpected and very disappointing. I would be very cautious in listening to any positive reviews of this firm: this was a mistake I made.

When my tax was correctly calculated by another firm, it turned out that Frank Hirth s errors meant I would have ended up paying way more tax as I needed to (well over double, almost triple).

I would strongly urge other customers not to place their trust in this firm.

If looking for good international (US-UK) tax accountancy, I would direct you to David Tobon and/or Lisa Goldman, both based in New York. You will be in really safe hands with these people, who I ended up employing. The difference between working with these brilliant and responsible professionals and the team at Frank Hirth was really astonishing to me.

They might be very competent at what they do but I didn't have an opportunity to find out. I attended a meeting at which one of their senior managers made a presentation. I was sufficiently impressed that I decided to see if he could help my with my situation: dual US/UK citizen needing UK tax assistance. I called on Tuesday morning and asked to speak to the person who had given the presentation. He was not available so I left a brief message describing my situation and asked for a call back. I hadn't heard by early afternoon on Thursday so I called again, was advised that the party was not available, declined the offer to be put through to his voice mail and asked to speak to someone who could help with my situation (again described). As it happened the person I spoke to was not able to help me but seemed to be an admin who asked for my contact details and information about my situation to pass on to the board of directors, who would decide who would be assigned to help me. The admin also told me that I would receive a call back that afternoon or on Friday. By close of business on Friday I had heard nothing. I was very disappointed because I am sure the firm has the expertise that I need.

Used to work in there as semi senior auditor such a rubbish team with no support too busy to implement office politics than actually working! managers the worst !
