I have never had such poor service at alcohol base...

I have never had such poor service at alcohol based establishment. My friend and I (I am from out of town) went and did a wine tasting with a man that was great! We ordered one bottle of wine split between two us that we sipped on for over an hour. We were having a great time and went to order more wine. We were CUT OFF by a new woman behind the counter who didnt even know we were there. She said if she served us ANYMORE she would lose her license. I was being SHAMED in front of other customers for splitting one bottle wine with a friend. I told her to her to ring us up and she didn t even know what was on our tab. I had to physically tell her what we ordered. Then she felt the need to try and sell us on her upcoming wine events. I am EXTREMELY disappointed and OFFENDED at our service. If you want to have TWO GLASSES, only to be basically kicked out, this is your spot. I will NOT be returning.

Great place for a party! I held my sister s bridal shower here yesterday and couldn t get on here fast enough to say how great everything was! The room rental is fairly inexpensive compared to other venues, you can bring your own food in, and the party room is beautiful! The staff was very friendly and helpful! I forgot tongs for our salad, a serving spoon for our main dish, and he didn t bat an eye when I asked to borrow these things from the venue. Thank you for making my sister s shower a success!

Great little local winery. If u like wine and supporting a family buisness this place is for you. They have about 20 wines and you can sample all of them. Why spend $$$ on a bottle u might like. Many wine accessories for sale. Private rooms and classes available.

This winery is a complete joke. They are trying to get rid of all of their old wine that has gone bad. They sold me a bottle of their best red wine for $45 a bottle and I didn't notice until I got home that it was a 2005 (that's eight years old). While on the tour, the owner just told us that red wine doesn't last forever and it's not true that the longer you age it, the better it gets. Wine turns to vinegar when it is old and that's what my bottle tasted like when I opened it. I returned the bottle and they were very rude to me and would only exchange it for another bottle of wine. Frankly, I wanted my money back.
Also, we had a church function in which they provided the wine for, but everyone at the table complained that it tasted awful! Yes, it did, because it was old and had gone bad. No one drank the wine.
Don't waste your time at this winery, the wine is terrible and the people who work there are very, very rude!

This place is reeeally nice. Great wine... The woman doing the tastings was very knowledgeable about the wine. One of the best wineries I've been to in Illinois. Rates a full 5 stars for me ... We'll be back. The fireplace was reeeally nice on this fall evening

We had a very pleasant evening. This is the second time I've been there.Good wines,,lovely glassware painted by a local artist. The brick oven pizza truck was there. Always a good pizza to pair with your wine.

I came here with my friend who is from out of town...

I came here with my friend who is from out of town to enjoy our Friday off. We each had a tasting, with a great guy who was super helpful and polite. We ordered one bottle of wine to split and sat on the patio for well over an hour. When we came back in for a 2nd bottle, there was a new woman behind the counter who asked if we were eating lunch outside, I said no, we had already eaten breakfast and lunch before we came. She said (in front of other customers) that was too much alcohol, and she couldn t give us another bottle because she could lose their liquor license if she did. I have never been to a winery where one bottle (two glasses of wine each) is the cutoff point. It was embarrassing to be shamed in front of other customers, and it was offensive. If this is the establishment s policy, it should be posted. I am fine with following the rules, but not being publicly shamed in front of other customers for having more than two glasses of wine. We will not be returning or recommending this winery to others.

Never in my life have I been to a winery or any establishment and was treated so rudely. I was here recently for a small vendor show and the lady at the counter named Karen treated us like garbage. First, I asked politely if they have a WiFi password we could use for online order and so on. She scoffed at me and told me no. Okay that's fine. I then asked if they had strawberry wine because I my husband and I purchased a bottle from what I thought was them at Wine on the Fox. She states, "nope wasn't us" and rudely rolled her eyes and stated "never have we ever had that product". Okay got it. Later once my table was all set up and the event was started she stomps in and screams at us because apparently the table I had set up was blocking the fire exit and we need to move it immediately. If it was a fire exit then she should be fined because it was not clearly marked and no panic bar was installed. Maybe a call to the fire Marshall is in order. Never again will I give my money to this facility. Karen is a rude and angry person for no reason. Buyers beware. Buy your wine from some place else that treats you with respect.
