I came here with my friend who is from out of town...

I came here with my friend who is from out of town to enjoy our Friday off. We each had a tasting, with a great guy who was super helpful and polite. We ordered one bottle of wine to split and sat on the patio for well over an hour. When we came back in for a 2nd bottle, there was a new woman behind the counter who asked if we were eating lunch outside, I said no, we had already eaten breakfast and lunch before we came. She said (in front of other customers) that was too much alcohol, and she couldn t give us another bottle because she could lose their liquor license if she did. I have never been to a winery where one bottle (two glasses of wine each) is the cutoff point. It was embarrassing to be shamed in front of other customers, and it was offensive. If this is the establishment s policy, it should be posted. I am fine with following the rules, but not being publicly shamed in front of other customers for having more than two glasses of wine. We will not be returning or recommending this winery to others.
