This marina community is so well planned and beautiful. They have a wonderful restaurant called Red Dog. The Fried Avocado is a bit of heaven and my Kettle One Xtra Dirty Martini was fantastic.

Cute place, but not handicap friendly at all. Outside steps are uneven & not the same height nor were there any railings for hand hold. No table only a breakfast counter with stools that had no backs or arms. There were bunk beds in open room but I didn't feel like it was child friendly either.

We go to Heritage Harbor all the time. Very nice and easy to navigate. Good food, bathrooms, and ramps. BUT They really need to pave the boat launch and parking area. If I'm paying every time or seasonal. There's no reason for washed out gravel. So close to perfect.

We are on the Great Loop and stopped at the marina for two nights. Jeremy and his staff are amazing. Very nice facility with a fun restaurant, Red Dog, on site. Highly recommended stop!

Great Marina. If you are looping don't miss the river talk. It was very valuable and I was much better prepared. The staff was excellent helping us in when we arrived and there pump out at our dock was really convenient. It's a walk into town, but we enjoyed the exercise and used Uber to get back. Nice for it town. Good stay for a few days.

Nice place to stay for a week, has everything that you could need for you stay including a fully stocked kitchen (no food). The closest grocery store is in town. The houses are small and cozy. I was disappointed that the lock on our house broke the first day there, only one key worked, the people who came to fix it were nice, but it took up part of my day. The a.c. did not cool the upstairs very well at all, it was awful to walk upstairs in the evening. There were small black ants coming in through the sliding glass door which was super anoying!

Always a great place to get away to and only 45 minutes from home. For a few days you forget what is happening in the world and just enjoy summer. Boating, swimming, bonfires and fishing. Only a few minutes from downtown Ottawa, the shops and restaurants are open along with the farmers market. Great weekend!!

Heritage Harbor - there is no place quite like this anywhere in the Chicago Area. Ottawa, Starved Rock, Beautiful vibrant small town with good dining, and lots of quaint shopping, Heritage Harbor - Great marina, good food, lots of planned entertainment, great people. Best of all very unique resort housing with beautiful architecture and custom designs.

After 2300+ miles this is a top notch marina. Staff has been so helpful and professional. The amenities are awesome, pool, shower, on site restaurant with amazing food. Makes us want to stay longer. Jeremy has a top notch staff. Sunset wasn't bad either.

All employees we encountered exhibited great hospitality, were very courteous and friendly. Awesome ribs at the Red Dog American and Seafood Grill. Very hospitable, pleasant and professional employees at the boating area and welcome office.

This is definitely on the way to be a great place for vacations. The areas that we saw was scenic, but it seems it is under construction still. Can't wait to see it next year after some more of the cottages are completed. Beautiful lake and marina.

Rented a cabin here for my moms 75th birthday had a great time. staff here was more than helpful especially the guy from the marina who helped us several times outside of when we rented a pontoon. the cabin we rented did not have propane tank for the grill and he brought a tank over and hooked it up. We also caught him on his way home the next night as we needed firewood for the fire pit and he was kind enough to switch directions, go get some wood to drop it off. Great service above and beyond. Thank you so much my Mom had the best time . Also a little shout out to Anthony and everyone at the rental and sales office. Always very helpful and prompt to return to call.

This place was very clean and comfortable. It was very quiet and relaxing and connected with nature. The houses were quaint but up to date. Restaurant in site was nice and a busy harbor.

We really enjoy boating out of here. We don t have a slip but use the ramp and enjoy the restaurant. Best opportunity for improvement from my viewpoint would be to pave the ramp parking area. The inside & outside of my truck is always a mess at the end of a day. If you want to take it to the next level adding a boat rinse area would make it awesome.

Love the new dog park, close to Ottawa and great that they donated the land and Petsmart contributed to make it happen. Two areas one for small dogs and one for larger dogs, plenty of room to run and has been busy every time I have visited. It's a shame the city of Ottawa has not put in a dog park but thanks to this group that did!

Heritage harbor is the best marina in the area. Best service I've ever had at any marina. Love it there. Best staff by far, and the harbor master is so knowledgeable and helpful with every concern or question one might have. Let's not forget the red dog grill, great food.

We took a weekend getaway vacation to Heritage Harbor and stayed at Eddies Hideaway. Our family absolutely Loved the marina, as well as our cottage. The marina is very family friendly with a kids park and lots of places to explore. Our cottage was picturesque with stunning views of the river. The rental has a full kitchen, clothes washer/dryer, including outdoor gas grill. There are 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The real fun is the kids loft on the 3rd floor. 4 twin beds with window portal of the river. We can t wait to visit this place again.

Love this Place! My family and I have had a Summer cottage there since 2012 and could not be more excited about this place. We are still having a lot of fun, add new friends to our circle every year and can't say enough about the staff at the harbor, Quest Water Sports, the real estate team, ownership and all of the people who make this place special. It is the best decision I could have made for building memories with my family!
