This is the 2nd time we have bought carpet from Fowles auctions in Clayton and will not go anywhere else. Price and service is the best.
James was fantastic. He took the time and trouble to listen to our needs and recommend a carpet which was installed last Wednesday and we love it. The installers were great. Came on time and did such a great job you cannot see the joins. If you need carpet pop in and see James, denifataly the best place in Melbourne for carpet, you want regret it

We were very happy with the re-carpeting of our office and the quality and price of the carpet supplied. The carpet layers were excellent and worked very hard to get the carpet re-laid in one day. The office was left clean and tidy after they left. Great Service!

The flooring department of Fowles are exceptional. They are very knowledgeable about their products and I was able to trust their insights into the right flooring for my home.
Ninety-eight metres of flooring went into my home and I love it immensely.
They also have very experienced layers who are also very good at their craft.
I would recommend Fowles if you are considering new floors, their prices are very reasonable.

Could not recommend Fowles for carpet enough! Ingrid from Fowles was fantastic from beginning to end. Was very helpful with picking carpet and when installation was delayed because of lockdown, she kept us informed the whole time and had us quickly booked in for a new date as soon as she could. The carpet quality is fantastic and we are very happy with the final outcome.

I would not recommend Fowles Auctions at all. I needed new carpet laid and heard through word of mouth they were good. I had a browse at their selection of carpets for 30 minutes or so and during that time I noticed most of the staff were behind the service counter or at their desks. I was eventually served by George and he took my details as they did not have samples for me. After all that not one phone call back. If I could give no stars I would. They are more for the Building and Construction Industry.

the first time i walked into fowles i knew nothing about carpet what brands that were out there to underlay that i would need and what suits what better so a huge shout to the fowle guys to holding my hand and going the extra mile to helping me out to become an expert on carpet and boy oh boy does everyone who enters my house toss the shoes off and walk on my carpet and fall in love with it as much as my self thank you for start to finish fowles

Was not as great as I was told. They had one staff in timber flooring and as a result had to wait a long time just to ask a 2 second question. We ended up not liking any of the options and went with really timber. They do have a massive range there especially for carpet.

A couple of weeks ago my daughter needed to urgently replace carpet in her unit for sale.
Due to the isolation restrictions looking imminent, John G was as usual extremely helpful in fast tracking the installation....this is the 3rd occasion I have dealt with him.
The installation was completed by Anthony in a somewhat chaotic household, with other prep works going on for the sale. He was very patient & did a great job...so thankyou to you both. I am pleased to add that the unit sold promptly!

This is a message for Travis at the Princes Hwy Store and Marc the carpet installer that came to our place. Thank you to Travis for being so kind and patient with us whilst we deliberated (for ages!) on which carpet to go with, your expertise and experience was thoroughly appreciated. Thank you to Marc the fantastic installer who did a wonderful job, showed up bright and early and did not stop working even for a moment until the job was done, and done right. Cannot recommend Fowles enough, not just on price which is massively competitive compared to other big players in this field but the service is second to none.

A quick but heartfelt thanks to the marvellous women in the flooring department. Alex spent quality time with me offering great advice on the flooring options. And Nuray gave me a couple of excellent suggestions - one of which will save me big bucks and create a much sleeker look. The list of installers was very useful too. I am very happy with the finished product. Their work was at a professional level and their attention to detail was impressive. Great service starting with James Gordon in sales and excellent follow-through with the provision of the carpet and installation. The carpet layers Scott and Lee were fabulous, timely, efficient and detail focused in laying the carpet, moving and restoring the furniture. Highly recommend.

Fowles have a showroom full of bulk-buy carpet direct from the manufacturer. Went in and was served by Travis who gave us a guided tour of the premises, pointing out the most popular styles and latest colour trends. Great service.

Branded products and ex demos at great price for home renovation

Went to Fowles the other day and i was very impressed with the large display of carpets in big rolls. Was served by Travis who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in assisting with selecting the right carpet for our place. I would highly recommend the team down at Fowles.

We have used Fowles Carpet twice in the last 5 years. Both times we had excellent sales and installation service. They are brilliant in helping you understand the type of carpet or flooring you need in particular areas of the house. Our current house is a 5 bedroom and two living rooms and it is carpeted all over and Fowles took less than 3 days to remove and install the new carpet. I have told many of my friends and family to buy directly from Fowles Carpet. We will definitely use Fowles again. Thank you for the service and having a great range of flooring options.

My husband and I are extremely pleased that we decided to go to with Fowles Auctions and Sales. Customer service has been exceptional from Travis when it came to picking out our carpet. He was able to give the right advice based on what we were looking for, responses to emails were quick and he always returned my calls. We needed our carpets completed before the Christmas holidays and he made it happen for us with Tim installing them. I should remember to mention Patrick who came to check on the measurements and he was so courteous and polite, and my husband and I liked the professionalism. Tim did a fantastic and clean job with the removal of the old carpet and installation of the new one. It is so comfortable and we love our new carpets. Tim was there on time, bright and early and he finished it in no time at all. We also decided to get floorboards for our lounge, and Travis was wonderful again. We would definitely recommended Fowles and would use them again in the future. We went to so many other retailers but none were as good as Fowles. They spent the time to help us to find just the right carpet for our home and were able to have it installed quickly and without any fuss. Magnificent service from Ingrid as the sales person and the workers that installed our carpet

Ingrid and staff were absolutely incredible. I cannot speak more highly of Fowles. Every aspect of the transaction was perfect. We got 3 quotes and they came in the cheapest, most professional and the end job was amazing. We are so happy with our new carpets and all the advice we received. Do yourself a favour and go see Ingrid. My brother in law did just that and he's just as happy as we were with his new carpet!

I purchased both carpet and floorboards at Fowles. The prices was great and the service by Ingrid in carpets was outstanding. Ingrid provided very good & honest advice and the best customer service I have received for a long time. Highly recommend.

Get some good bargains, just don't get over excited and bid to high better to let it go and get another one or what winning bidder doesn't take when multiple of same item, you get for same price as winning bid. Items vary check online prior to going usually up a couple of days prior to auction. Need to have own transport for items or get a courier to pick up for you. They don't do delivery but do have contact numbers for some couriers who are reasonably priced. Need to put a deposit in before bidding, this is taken off price of whatever you buy or is refunded at end if you don't buy anything.

Showroom service excellent. Installers were prompt and professional. Very pleased with the result.

Been to auctions here a number of times. The friendly staff explained the process to us when we were newbies - never made you feel dumb. They will help you load bulky items but they can be busy so just be patient. Fantastic value for money. We've bought stuff for the garden, kitchen, dinning, etc. Saved a fortune. Maybe I should have given the place a bad rap to discourage competition at auction time? :)

A little difficult to find and get to if you're not sure where to go. Once there I found the flooring section exceptional. Lots to choose from and staff excellent.

This is the second occasion that we have used Fowles for the supply and installation of flooring. It was another enjoyable experience with great advice and friendly service.

I recently purchased some flooring 490lm of 80x19mm Feature Grade QLD Hardwood. It is mixed colors and varying lengths ranging from 1 metre to 4.5 Metres. The timber quality appears to be pretty good and can't wait to get it down in our new space at home. Our pickup took a bit longer than we expected and had to hunt around for Michael, then Glenn, then James. Overall fairly happy with price and service.

I spent $3600 on Pebble grid carpet from Fowles. This was at the top end of my budget and it was money very well spent. Ingrid calculated the carpet required from the plans. When the time came to lay the carpet the organisation was seemless and there was very little waste especially after I had a mat overlocked for the front and back doors. The carpet layer Ingrid organised for me was a superstar and I was/am thrilled with the result so much so that I recommended Fowles to my sister. She was helped by a different person at Fowles and her carpet layer was also different but her experience was exactly the same....little waste, outstanding finish. I strongly recommend Fowles.

The best place for long rolls of carpets to make measured rugs, they will give you a number for overlockers called Acme.

We had carpet from Fowles Auctions installed this week. We are very happy with our carpet. It was a bonus being able to view large rolls of the carpet we chose as it gave us a good idea of how it would look in our home. They have a large variety of brands so you are able to compare. We chose a locally manufactures solution dyed nylon which was a very good price and great quality. This carpet is also available from other retailers but Fowles gave us the best price by quite a good margin. The installer was very professional and pleasant which made the process much easier for us. Would definitely recommend to others and we have already passed on our great experience to friends looking for carpet.

We used Fowles to install new floorboards and carpet and the end result was great! Aside from the new floor the most pleasing aspect of the transaction was that we had two boxes of unused floorboards left at the end of the installation that Fowles offered to refund.

Travis is my go-to man at Fowles. He has great knowledge of Hybrid Vinyl Plank Flooring, Laminate and Engineered Timber Flooring, can supply me with samples as requested and always looks after me on price.

A seamless and reliable service from start to finish! Ingrid took care of everything and was extremely punctual and honest. Took care of us very well with our carpet install, price was reasonable and service was prompt and clear. In addition, Wayne the installer provided a top quality job, he was clean and tidy, took care and did not damage any of the skirting boards and made sure all the levels were spot on.
