Good range, friendly staff. One thing to note is that if you are not looking for carpet the hard floor options are hidden away on a seperate building.

Very happy with our carpet! Exceptional customer service from Levi from the get go. He was very friendly, explained everything, showed us the options and didn't rush us. We purchased new carpet and timber floors from Fowles in June 2020 in the midst of the Covid 19 lock downs. We had been into the show room before lock down commenced and met with Ingrid and we subsequently made a purchase during lock down. Ingrid was exceptional to deal with via email and made the entire process seamless. The cost was hugely competitive but that does not compromise on quality. They arrange installation for carpet but not for hard flooring. They do have a list of potential installers they can provide. They were able to warehouse our products at no additional cost and we also used the time between purchase and installation to pay off the flooring over a number of months in instalments which helped with our cash flow. I cannot recommend them enough!

Wonderful place to look for housing materials. New stuff. If you're looking for older items they aren't there.

We had carpet from Fowles Auctions installed in our home recently. We are very happy with the outcome. Fowles have a large variety of brands at affordable prices. The carpet layers were excellent and worked very hard to get the carpet laid in one day. They were very professional (no visible joints) and pleasant which made the process much easier for us. We have had an excellent experience purchasing pure wool Australian made carpet, and Vinyl plank flooring from Fowles Auctions and sales. The sales person was helpful and gave us a lot of useful information, the carpet layers were amazing, polite, courteous, did a wonderful job and were so quick! They were in and out of the place within two hours - for five rooms! Thank you, the house looks wonderful.

I would not recommend purchasing from Fowles Clayton. I purchased flooring and carpet and 5 weeks and 2 days later following 5 phone calls and the promise of constant call backs.. still nothing.. I know I was optimistic following such good reviews but I don't think the reviews are genuine at all.. I won't be dealing with this company for anything.. Horrendous..

Fowles offer a great value product with super friendly and competent staff. The cost of the carpet and install ended up costing almost half that of a 'well known' competitor (for a product just as good). Travis was super helpful with the purchase and Jon did an awesome job of the install.

I think products are good, CS not so good. They quote you for laying flooring then you have to pay extra to the person laying the flooring on top of that "they call it extras" which is not quoted on the quote, and very expensive you are better off getting your own person to lay the flooring

A big thanks to Fowles carpets. Friends had a good experience with Fowles, so thought we would talk to them when we needed to re-carpet our home. We visited the showroom in Clayton and was amazed at the huge range of carpets they have on show. We needed help in deciding exactly what type of carpet we needed. Our base requirements were that the carpet needed to be of high quality and easy to clean as we have 2 dogs. James one of the carpet consultants listened to our needs and discussed the pro's and con's of different carpet types. We settled on choosing from a couple of local carpet manufacturers. getting the right colour was a bit of a challenge but James provided good size colour samples direct from the carpet rolls so we could see which best matched our house. James was great to work with, he listened to our needs and feedback about different carpet, did not try and push us in one direction or the other, didn't play the opposition bashing game and gave precise costing of carpet - no haggling required or expected. We placed our order and James organised for installation on our preferred date. Come install day and Landen and his co-worker arrived with the carpet, underlay and trims for the install. These 2 guys are brilliant, they worked their buts of all day (didn't even see them stop for a coffee or lunch) and did a great job of the laying. All the seams are near to invisible, all cuts ins precise with the tricky bits and stairs all done professionally. Thanks again to Fowles for providing us with carpet we are truly happy with and a pleasant purchase and install process. Highly recommended.

The whole process from start to finish was seamless and very professional, we are extremely satisfied with the wonderful service from the office and the hardworking, punctual and perfect workmanship by the layer.

They 'forgot' to add the 13.5% buyers premium to the price quoted for carpet that hadn't sold at auction. We won't be back.

I purchased the Stonehaven timber planks and was one box short. I called and spoke with Nuray who not only put my order through promptly over the phone but she also offered to personally deliver the box to me to save me a trip to Clayton! I can not remember the last time I received such exceptional customer service. Thank you Nuray you were a breath of fresh air and you really made my day!

I recently purchased vinyl floor boards for my tiny house! The entire experience with the Fowles team was excellent from the advice I received as too these floor boards, the help with selecting the correct colour to the assistance I received in packing them into my vehicle.
My contractor was impressed with the ease of working with the product and as far as the finished result I am delighted... They are quiet to walk on, and very easy to keep clean, most importantly they were affordable... Thank you Fowles Team

Our experience with Fowles was exceptional, it was just a pleasure from the minute we walked into Fowles and spoke with James Gordon. It didn t end there though, after purchasing both carpet and hybrid flooring from James we then had both installed through Fowles, we cannot recommend highly enough the fantastic work that Darren Clancy did on installing our new hybrid flooring, not only did he do a great job but he was a pleasure to deal with as well, this also goes for Wayne who installed our carpet, yet again a pleasure to deal with but another great job done, we would highly recommend Fowles Auction Group and both Darren and Wayne in the future to any of our friends in the future and we were so happy now that we took the time out and effort into investigating our flooring options with Fowles.

I purchased the hybrid flooring which has been such a great decision. It was so easy to install, it s super easy to keep clean as you can mop it unlike other floating floors and it looks great! Bargain, bargain and bargain. I have now used Fowles on 3 occasions to purchase various items at a fraction of the retail price.
Assistance, advice and recommendations were forthcoming from obliging staff. I m a very happy customer and will be back again when the need arises.

After looking at several other stores, it was refreshing to visit Fowles and just have the different types and applications of carpet explained in a factual way without any sales pressure. To be given lots of samples to take home was great also, as two other stores incredibly would not allow this. The service from Ingrid was professional, prompt and made the whole experience enjoyable.

We use Fowles quite regularly and have always found their prices to be fantastic. We've dealt with many of their sales reps over the years and have never been able to fault them. Lately we have been dealing mostly with James- he is always quick to answer our questions and happy to help in any way he can.

The staff at Fowles have all been super patient and helpful. When the carpet that I chose wasn t available, they immediately delivered another sample to my door. While I was willing to wait for my original choice, they came through on the stock and delivery date... all before Christmas! Love the service and the bargains. Have sourced products repeatedly from Fowles for home renovation projects for my own home and several investment properties. Have bought spotted gum decking, merbau decking, etc. at 1/5th retail price. Carpet is brilliant and I went for the more expensive product with highest quality underlay and still a bargain. Installed beautifully. People always comment when they step onto our carpets on how great it feels (and looks). Have bought bathroom wear, tiles, decking, fencing, furnishings (beds, dining, outdoor, kitchen appliances) and no issues at all. Makes renovations affordable / profitable.
