Three families booked this place for lunch on the new year eve day from London, HK and Wales. We chose this place as it is very famous and classic. We booked the time with indicate 6 weeks before the date with indications on the numbers of adults, toddles and babies. They also called our friend in London to confirm twice about the age of all the kids. However, the day we arrived on time, table was not ready so we all had to wait around 10 minutes. One of the kids (4 yrs old) was attracted by the piano at the waiting area and there was no protection of the piano or no touch sign. After the 4 yrs kid touched the piano for less than 3 seconds, the reception guy (young one) kind of shouted to the kid: "this piano worth 800 pounds". WTF! The staff was super rude . The father of the kid is a very nice guy and told us after we finished the meal. It was not a pleasant lunch time also as they messed up the food, forgot to bring wine until the end, they also tried twice to push me to take kids menu for my son who was just entered two years old, what a joke. Fortnum & Mason, you are very famous but not stick to your standard and no manner. I'm sharing my experience here to let you all know to be careful with the PIANO and your baby might get forced to eat their afternoon tea.

Really a great place to take visitors. Always have enjoyed the store, and bimbling off downstairs to have some wine and cheese is always a nice break. Really a pretty wide range of stuff to be found here, I always manage to find something I haven't seen before. A bit of old London.

Beautiful lunch in the Gallery Restaurant. Good options available for vegetarian and gluten free. One of few places these days where you can eat without the interference of music - particularly helpful for someone with hearing aids as the music becomes a real nuisance!

Lovely

Lovely
The food is flawless
I normally go in F&M in St Pancras but this is very suggestive.
The entrance, the view from The gallery and the food are all fantastic!
In the shop you seem travelling back in the first 1900 London and you can have a high level quality food.
I shopped amazing cheese but I wanted to buy much more, difficult to resist!
It's not only a shop, it's an experience!

A great shop if you have bags of cash. Very very expensive but it has a reputation that carries through. If like me and its window shopping, its still a great experience to walk the floors and look a the beautiful architecture.

Wonderful shop. Traditional and up market department store. The ground and lower floors house the food halls with a great range of food and drink.
Very well staffed with exceedingly helpful people.
The difference between Harrods and Fortnum & Mason (it seems to me) is that the former caters for people with money while Fortnum & Mason caters for people with taste

Wandering past and beguiled by the seasonal window displays we entered to see how this upmarket grocer is celebrating Xmas. Oh, the prices for the small jars and tins, the fruit and vegetables, let alone the cheeses and meats. Glorious, well proportioned building and a sweeping staircase.

The store is over two hundred years old and that speaks volumes about the varieties of tea they sell. Worth mentioning the Royal Blend and Classic Earl Grey flavours. You can buy them in those swanky beautiful readymade tea-boxes, or you can also buy them loose.
They also have a cafe within the shop with amazing confectionaries.

Opulent and lavish! My "go to" every christmas to buy exceedingly good biscuits and preserves. You couldn't shop here everyday, but I make a habit of going there for a special occasion or treat for someone special
