Such a beautiful array of things to buy, perfect for any birthday or Christmas presents! We were helped by some very friendly staff, including Flavia at the Blend your Own Tea station and David on the tills. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting some classy presents!

Love walking round F&M. It's small enough for you to not get lost but big enough for you to have a good selection. They go all out for their themes as well. The current theme is Easter but Christmas is my favourite there. Well worth a visit!
Great store and a must go for tea. I thought it would be uncomfortably stodgy and fancy but found it very pleasant. The prepared foods on the lower floor are delicious.
First I had to ask for a bag then the cashier didn't put ribbon through the ribbon hole in the bag nor put any tissue paper round the christmas presents I bought my mother so now the gifts look incomplete. So overall I was very disappointed with the service. Last year when I went to the fortnum and mason arcade in somerset house the guy serving was really helpful and wrapped everything beautifully so was very disappoint that in the proper shop the standards are so low and staff are so unfriendly. However the cornflake cake I also got was amazing.
Do you want to go shopping but you are not sure of what buy? This is the right place! Floors of...everything!! From the grocery shop to the Christmas tree and decoration! It s impossible not to spend hours in here.
Teas were nice, food and cakes very very good. Service was good but could have done with a bit more smiles and friendliness. But overall very good. Don't forget the service charge!! (12%) added to the bill
What a lovely store! I stumbled in on a rainy night to purchase some tea as I was travelling in London, before I headed back the US. Wow is this place HUGE. Quite the layout, and there's so much it's hard to figure out where to even begin! If you're visiting London, this is a must visit.
The place to be for an afternoon tea experience in London! Mythical and ultra chic place. The service is excellent, the food delicious and the place awesome! After tasting your English tea, go to the shop on the ground floor to offer the same for the house. And if you love the world of English gentlemen, I highly recommend the bar upstairs for men. A wonder !
Im an American, and it was my first time in England. I told my british friend to show me what a taste of England was like! so she took me to Fortnum & Mason! I was in awe of all the goodies and teas!! Dont get me started on the Wall of Marmalade as i called it!! We tried delicious handmade flavoured marshmallows! I had a tangerine Flavoured one, it turely tasted like a tangerine. It was a quality marshmallow! Perhaps ill go back to get a jar of marmalade
What a nice surprise. We went to the afternoon tea basically because if you are in london it is something you have to do. They have a restaurant on the first floors but it's not there, it's on the top floor. It is More
When Londoners go shopping for a fancy picnic, they shop at F&M. Great selection of teas, foods, china, wines, etc. Purveyors to the queen and easily understood why. Seems every trip I make to London includes a resupply from F&M. Incredibly busy at Christmas. See pics.
I cannot condone eating at an establishment that continues to serve foie gras...The thought of the torture & suffering of helpless animals for the sake of a few mouthfulls of overpriced food tends to ruin my appetite...
The warm tea is delicious, the service is rude, at least if you only order something to drink. The dishes are still slammed and partially dirty. The shop also does not sell 'normal' lemonades such as Fanta, Cola, More
Teatime experience was incredible. The service was really good and quality on top! The gluten-free teatime was good, especially the scones! Really recommend this place.
Afternoon tea is an essential experience while in London, and I'm glad I tried it at Fortnum & Mason. It's certainly very pricey, but I enjoyed myself.
I'll clarify something that I found confusing prior to going: each person orders afternoon tea, which consists of sandwiches, scones, desserts, and a choice of tea. Each person gets a caddy thing of the three foodstuffs, or two people share if they ordered the same type of afternoon tea. That being said, there is absolutely no way of not getting enough to eat, because you have endless refills of sandwiches, scones, and desserts. What's more, I never felt embarrassed about wanting more; the staff was enthusiastic about offering refills. The only exception is the High Tea, where the sandwiches are replaced by a nonrefillable entree. I actually recommend this for large groups; one person can get an entree, and try the sandwiches from someone else.
I really liked my traditional Afternoon Tea. The sandwiches were not bad but the bread felt a little dry. The scones were so lovely, with a crust outside and fluffy interior. They were perfect with clotted cream and strawberry jam, though my family preferred the lemon curd. The desserts ranged from good (chocolate cake) to divine (cheesecake bonbon with honeycomb). My dad got the High Tea, and he seemed to like his Lobster Omelette Victoria. My mom's Savory Afternoon Tea was so-so; the desserts were replaced by finger foods with some weird taste combinations. However, the chive scones were very good. At the end, we were offered a slice of cake or dessert, which we got to go because we were stuffed at that point. I got the Battenburg, which is traditional, but liked the sponge cake with raspberry the most.
Overall, I think this experience was worth the steep price tag. I would eat a very light lunch, if not skipping altogether. Also, when I made the reservation, I was told that I could only stay 1.75 hours (which seems a bit arbitrary) but I didn't feel rushed at all.
It's not a car, but if you just eat it at home, you will know that the tea is delicious. It is good for gifts, but personally, it is recommended that you buy it yourself and leave it at home for taste. It is especially good to eat with sweet bread! Recommended
these people torture geese . they shove feeding pipes down there throat a then slit there there necks for a long an painfull death , there blood dripping on to the floor , hanging upsidown still conious
A stunning, marvellous shop where everything is designed to perfection. The paradise of the senses. Food, teas, accessories, homeware. Everything distinctively English. Definitely a MUST.
BY APPOINTMENT OF HER MAJESTY ELIZABETH II and THE PRINCE OF WALES.
Amazing department store If you love tiffany blue, you will be crazy about here. Not only selling teas, but also selling diffusers, dining stuffs, candles and so on. You can also have an afternoon tea, ice cream to eat
Great selection of expensive but quality products. Friendly staff and opulent atmosphere. Check out the groceries in the basement and the Black Cow cheese you can only buy at Fortnum & Mason
Wonderful afternoon tea; the service is excellent and complements the classic interior! Would definitely recommend the earl grey and lap sang mix tea. Ask them to bring the scones when you want them so they are warm.
Couldn't have been better. Afternoon tea here was fantastic. The selection is wonderful, the food is delicious and the staff is tentative. A great place to have a proper high tea.
Beautiful setting, extremely polite staff, good service, a choice of stratospheric tea, tasty little pastry, gigantic cakes and savory morsels not to be despised together with a good glass of champagne. A nice English afternoon. At the end of the evening, since we hadn't finished everything, they offered to take away what was left and collected it in a nice package. Experience to repeat.
This is my favourite place. Period. I fall in love every time I visit. Goods are displayed impeccably; everything from apples and cheeses to sweet treats. Everything about this store is welcoming and exciting. I've found myself wondering and exploring and wilfully loosing hours of my life doing so! While working in Soho I would find excuses to pop in for lunch. The lunch counter downstairs serves pastries, sandwiches, salads and pastas all at the same price as you could expect to pay at a Pret or Starbucks- but with the additional novelty of a F&M bag!
