Super crowded and touristy. 5 stars for the gorgeous displays. The food however is basic. It's not the best cookies or tea you can get but it's the most beautifully packaged. The chocolates were scrummy but I would give a hard pass on the pastries. I've tried the eclairs and the pastries sold in the food hall and found them dry. The cafe is really good and the soup was delicious.

One of my all-time-favourite place in London. It's a world famous place with the tea they serves. However, I personally enjoy the biscuits and afternoon tea set they provide and the atmosphere more.

Different than the other luxury stores, here the customer service is on the highest level and the staff is attentive and kind. Delicious candies, cakes and chocolates, it's true that the prices are a bit high but not over the top!

It's fun to choose because it's cheaper to buy and smells better than when you live in Korea. A package set of six types of well-selling tea bags weighs 14 pounds, making it a great gift. If you don't have time on the second floor, you don't have to go.

To go to a place like this, I have a high expectations for the high tea.

Pro: unlimited scone and desserts. Interesting combination of flavours and it was a wonderful experience on my palate. The beef wellington was good and I like that is perfectly cooked.

Con: for the price that I paid, I didn't enjoy every food that was served. The scone was good but surely they can serve with flesh jams (it was served with the shop bottle). The cotted cream looks like pre-ordered and mediocre. I did not enjoy some of the dessert as they tried too hard to combine ginger and cream and margarine. The tea was served in a tea bag and I was expecting loose leaves.

Fortnum & Mason

Fortnum & Mason
181 Piccadilly, St. James's, London W1A 1ER, UK

Today I went to Fortnum & Mason for afternoon tea with Lily. There are still a lot of drizzling people on Saturday!

Afternoon Tea is really good, the taste of the things is more suitable, not heavy, the salty sandwich at the bottom of the sandwich eggs smoked salmon and ham and cucumber are very delicious!

The second layer of Scon is paired with special butter, which tastes like ice cream!

The dessert on the top layer can't be eaten anymore, but the shape is also hard work! really like!

For tea, my friend and I chose Royal Blend and Queen Anne, which are very delicious. The aroma of tea is tangy and very British.

My husband just got promoted so I wanted to buy something for the night to celebrate. I went to Fortnum & Mason and found a good present for him. Good thing the staff was there to help me out. It's definitely one great place.

Horrible. Quality, price is exorbitant. The quality is not good and the price is very high. You look at their website and in the afternoon tea they say that if it is a tasting it is a price, 60 pounds per person and then they charge you 12.5% more, in summary I do not recommend it at all, also the dried cakes. I only take the waiter's attention as a good memory.

Great place to visit as a couple or as a family. Wonderful atmosphere and the whole place makes you feel posh in a good way. Lovely friendly and helpful staff ready to assist you. A little bit pricey to be completely honest but the whole experience is definitely worth it. I would definitely recommend.

More a sight than a store, it's definitely worth a visit while in London. Sell all kinds of high quality food and teas on the ground and lower floors, homeware and clothing on the higher floors. There are a tea room on the ground floor and a cafe/ice cream parlour on the first floor. Prices are relatively high but you can find the odd great offer.

Actually everybody wants to go to Harrods especially with Christmas. But for us (my daughter and myself) This store gives us so mutch more of a Christmas experience. What a wonderful even magical experience!

This is London at it's best. A real walk back into retail history from 1700's and a fabulous afternoon tea!
The shop is utterly delightful and true to it's historical architecture. Yes, the tea is pricey compared to local prices ie The Roslin, Thorpe Bay (excellent local option btw) but to my mind, justified by the service, quality of food, ambience and decor. A real treat for you or loved ones.

This store is amazing, one of the best sensory experiences of my life, everything here is of great quality starting with its famous teas. The visit was unexpected but highly rewarding, in addition to tea, I have bought Stilton cheese and I have delighted in browsing and savoring some top quality products, I can't wait to go back there, a great reason to revisit London.

3 star only because of ONE friendly member of staff. An Asian young girl who did everything to help, and even helped me yo carry the really heavy hamper downstairs and out on the street , she made sure I was fine whilst waiting for a taxi.
She works on the 3rd floor and need promotion !
She made sure i was ok before she went back to the store.
Her male counterparts was ignorant, rude and totally unhelpful. I felt like I was was distracting and disturbing them. Because you are not dressed in fur, you can still have lots of money to spend but the ignorance from the older man in the red coat watching the que on the hamper department, I will avoid that place again !

We go here fairly regularly, and at the end of each year we meet up with the family for a big Christmas meal in the gallery restaurant! I love it here, the service is excellent, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the quality is exceptional. It is expensive here but definately a worthy treat.

The afternoon tea was fantastic. Obviously incredible tea and food. The decor is beautiful. It gets very busy downstairs on the entrance floor and is hard to move. It is very expensive, but that is to be expected

This is my go to place to get tea for friends and family every time I am in London. This time around, I was also joined by my family to have afternoon tea. Service is impeccable and we had the best time people watching and sipping high tea.

Pretty and diverse, so I want to buy everything
But in the end, I still haven't finished drinking .. (September trip)
It may sound like watching around,
Anyone who doesn't drink much tea like me ...
Don't go because everyone else is going
I think it would be nice to buy for gifts !!
