Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa Review

The rooms were beautiful and parking was easy. Great staff, wonderful location!

Great location especially if preposition for a cruise. Great view of either the ocean or harbor. Nice place for a wedding also. Room a little worn.

My well-documented review of our experience disappeared from the reviews... Notice how only positive reviews are showing for this hotel? This hotel is somehow removing any negative reviews... 1st red flag!!

No power for 2 full days in a row & no backup generator to run air-conditioning, then the A/C is broken once power does resume & no consideration for the TWO DAY MISERY experienced by all their guests on a holiday weekend. Such a nightmare vacation.

And now my fact-based review of what happened to ALL OF US has disappeared? Lovely & par for the course.

Have been going for years. Was the thanksgiving spot after the Sonesta closed on Key Biscayne. Just lovely. Back again for a quick get-away. Really a 5***** star property. Service is unparalleled.

Loved the service. The day at the pool cabanas were excellent.

Beautiful grounds, kid friendly for 3-5 year olds (both my kids found friends in 15 minutes), and a couple breakfast options on site for people in a hurry. Rooms were clean, wonderfully designed, and even our entry-facing view was incredible. I would stay here again next time I am in Ft. Lauderdale.

Great place, enjoyed the brief visit. The hotel definitely has some maintenance issues, the drywall was coming off the ceiling in our bathroom, and looked like it had several different repairs throughout the room.

I m very disappointed with this hotel. The front desk was rude, condescending, and unaccommodated. The worst experience I had in a Marriott Hotel, to say the least.

Beautiful place with terrific beach and pool. Food and beverages served at your chair on the beach. The beach staff outstanding, setting up lounge chairs with cushions and umbrellas. Maid service needs improvements.

This 5 stars goes out to Fred, the Manager / Engineer of the resort, who drove me through at storm at 3am to pick up meds for my sick girlfriend. Fred is the man! And yes, the resort is great too.

We went for the bar and pool but the place is beautiful. Definitely worth visiting. A little on the pricey side but a great place.

Google says paid parking and paid WiFi yet it s $40 a day for parking and $12 a day for WiFi and I m paying $259 a night like really? Place is really fancy but room is kinda small and the outside is ugly

Rooms are spectacular and coll during the hot nights. Fitness room is fully equipped with cardio and lifting machines as well as a yoga room. The food at the pool was great and not too expensive. Easy access to the beach made this a great stay.

I had requested an earlier check inn at 7am. The front Desk employee responded and said we were at full capacity and will call me as soon a room becomes available. I came back at 10:30-11am to check again and the front desk employee Said we have don t have anything available right Now let me take your credit and id to get you checked inn. The first employee at 7am did that as well and I stated this to her. She stated no one has checked you in yet. Ok. She then proceeded to take my information and stated I will call you as soon as a room is available. I came back at 5pm and the same process ensued. I finally got checked inn and came my to room, around 730-8 and proceeded to take a shower. During my shower a employee from Marriott walked into to my room. No knock no announcement. When realizing somebody was in the room he walked right out. Which scared the day lights out of me. I did not feel comfortable in your hotel or room my whole stay afterwards. I was contemplating changing hotels but it would be a long process to explain my safety concerns regarding a Marriott to my employer. I was there for a work related events which my computer has highly sensitive material. I received a call from someone ten minutes or so later regarding a check or whatever on the room. The employee profusely apologized offered credits on my account and so forth. They explained it was reference check And referred to a change of rooms and asked when I would be checking out. Your employees should know this information considering everything was detailed in my itinerary. I became very skeptical of your hotel and their intentions. I did not feel any safer and I had trouble sleeping that night. I had to bring my luggage to work the next day because I was fearful someone else might enter into my room. I felt embarrassed to have to do this not explaining to my co workers the situation. During the day I received a called asking if I would be returning to the hotel. I stated yes and my stay is detailed in the itinerary. She Said okay We ll check you inn and switch rooms. When returning the front desk checked me in I brang my stuff to the another room and went to take a walk on the beach. When returning I found a note under the door stated to mr burrows thank for staying with us etc. Iam not mr burrows And don t know a mr burrows. I immediately checked my stuff and fear set back in. I was very upset that I as a customer could mean so little a to a Marriott. I work for a large corp and wonder if other employees of my company are treat this way.

By far the nicest spot on Ft Lauderdale Beach! We have stayed at this hotel for the past 4 years and love it here. The entire staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are very nice with beautiful views of the Ocean and pool area. There is a large pool area that is well maintained and always clean. The beach area is awesome.....again well staffed and clean with plenty of chairs and umbrellas for guests. The hotel is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. I travel a lot and highly recommend this hotel.

I was amazed, can't wait to do snorkeling and go kayaking.. got complementary drinks for 2, beach chairs and umbrella..

The facility is beautiful. However, the prices are extremely inflated even for a hotel. $4.50 for a 16 Oz soda! That's from a vending machine.
$30.00 for a small continental breakfast. That's your basic breakfast at any other hotel. Bacon, sausage, potatoes, fruit and juice.
Mini bar in room. No normal fridge. Nice place, but I've stayed at better for much less.

The service was wonderful and the amenities were fantastic. But we took advantage of valet service. Apparently there drove the car as a hotrod because items in the truck were tripped over and our right front fender was black from hitting a rubber fender. I suggest that you park your car yourself.

Not worth the price. No towel service at the beach. The is no lifeguard at the beach. Nobody helped us when my son was bitten by jellyfish. We need to run at the reception to ask for a help. The is no healthy eating option for lunch. I ordered everyday uber eats.

It was great. I jet skiied and fell but for the most part I enjoyed it.

If I could give a zero star review I would. My wife broke her hand two weeks before our trip. We spent countless hours on the phone with customer service trying to either receive a refund or voucher for our trip. Supporting medical documents were faxed and emailed to the resort multiple times but each time the requests were denied without explanation. The hand surgeon was explicit that it was unsafe for my wife to partake in this trip. Very very disappointed that NOT a single accommodation was offered. We are human beings and expected to be treated with compassion. Due to this experience we will NEVER stay at a Marriott hotel in the future and will encourage family and friends to do the same. No one deserves to be ignored when they are dealing with a medical crisis.

The only hotel in the area with a fully private beach, cheap resort fee with great amenities, lots of todos stay in hotel no need to go out. will come back for another vacation.

Love this place, I come every year.
Impeccable customer service.
Rooms are so spacious and yet cozy, with the most comfortable comforter and pillows. Very clean, all the staff very nice. Only problem we had was at the seabreeze restaurant. Waited o errioneously an hour for simple food order, by the time food arrived, the flies were all around us, now citrus candles.
The 3030 restaurant serves the absolute best fine food and Diana is the epitome of excellence in bartending and making sure our food is perfectly prepared as ordered. Love her !!

The room was older but the service, beach, food, extras and smoothie shop are awesome and make up for it.

Felt like an All inclusive vacation to the islands . The weather, music, the beach was great, clean hotel, friendly staff you name it . Loved it

The staff was extremely nice and helpful.
If you're a Marriott member, you can opt out of housekeeping for a few days and it will rack up some Marriott points for you.
The sights were gorgeous! Every morning and every night was picturesque. The ocean was amazing! We saw more fish in the ocean outside the resort than we did when we went snorkeling!
The resort beach is on turtle nesting grounds so there are areas blocked off where their nests are on the beach, which we didn't mind. Later in the evening the turtle conservationists go walking around to check on the nest hatchings.

The only reason I deducted a star was because we didn't find the restaurants to be too good. I'm a vegetarian and there wasn't much option for me.

Have to agree with other reviews. This place used to be great. Now it is rundown with little to help/service. Won t be staying here again sadly. Love their private beach but the price isn t worth the bad service.
