Historical fort converted to a resort. You can stay, dine, have parties in the garden. Both indoor and outdoor rooms available. Quite expensive though. One weekends, room cost goes up to 8000/- per night. Food and any other service extra. Haven't tasted the food personally so no comments regarding that. Also little far away from city (approx 35 kms) so if you don't have your own vehicle, getting cabs or return facility is trouble some. Always pre book a taxi if you are planning to spend weekend as ola/Uber is not available.

Very beautiful fort converted into a 5 star hotel. On weekends they have many activities.Lovely place to go on a weekend. we had a lovely time in this place and a night stay was very little! We stayed in the tents.food is good Also they give a complementary audio tour of fort that one was awesome. am giving 4 star because we didn't get hot water for bath.
Very beautiful fort. Traditional welcome. Average taste of food. The band that plays on Sunday evening is absolutely brilliant. They play hindi old songs only instrumental music.
Food is average, but I love the way they have made a professional tour available which is at par with foreign tours. Also the place has now got some activities like archery and rifle shooting. It keeps the kids occupied. They should get the roads mended.
Had booked the tent house for a night. unfortunately didnt like the tent house and returned back in the evening itself. The buffet lunch was decent. The place can be better developed to attract tourists and have more things for people to do. i liked the traditional way of welcoming the guests
Facilities over here average here. We had our Office conference and a day morning we were involved in some activities during which we asked for water at the place but none of the staff facilitated water to us till end. Disappointed by the services.
place is maintained properly and have very gud rooms.. we opted for Hill View and it was fun as it started raining in evening.. Food is very gud but very costly.. we didnt go for buffet instead tried alacarte..
getting vet in swimming pool was a great experience.. my kid had fun, playing in pool..
overall satisfied with d offering.. would definitely recommend Jadhavgadh to all.. go give a try.. u wont regret it..
Place is a scenic beauty. Stay was pleasant. Swimming pool is stunning. Temperature control of pool wasn't working. I was disappointed by the food ( breakfast buffet was awesome though- very nice spread) and the pools temp control problem as the climate was slightly cold due to rains. My kid couldn't enjoy in the cold water. Rooms are decent, not exactly worth the price tag but of course it's the royalty of the place that causes you to loose the extra pennies.
What a place it is !!! Fort Jadhavgadh has been a wonderful stay for us. Started with the grand welcome on arrival with the traditional drumbeats, Arti Tikka, the well maintained Rooms, the delicious food...evrything was just perfect..
Fort Jadavgadh a heritage property with a rich Maratha history is 180 kms from Mumbai on the outskirts of Pune. On a good day it's a 4 hour drive, a perfect getaway for a harried city dweller. Well appointed rooms , manicured lawns, viewing gallery, museum, spa over looking the swimming pool, restaurants , outdoor games Including uncommon activities , village artists displaying their skills & a 300 years old Lord Ganesha's temple adding the pious touch to the property are the features of this luxury hotel , though some of the facilities were missing due to the pandemic. Being from the Operations background myself , I was impressed with the maintenance of the property by the team both in the front & in the back office during such tiring times.
On reaching we were welcomed by a very courteous Mr Mansingh with a namaste & a bow at the drive way. Escorting us till the gates of the Fort we were welcomed with a traditional blowing of the trumpet setting in the tempo for an upcoming royal journey of pampering & grandeur. Taking the baton of warm hospitality from the fort gates Ms Poonam & Mr Kunal at the Front desk arranged a refreshing welcome drink & arranged a smooth check in to the luxurious Varsha suite. A welcoming king sized bed & the all the paraphernalia fit for a suite was exactly what we wanted, with open Rain shower attached to the room being the cherry on the top.
Post settling in the rooms we hit the Al fresco sitting area outside the Chhaaja restaurant under the canopy of trees & melodious sounds of exotic birds. There's nothing to beat an empty stomach than a scrumptious spread which is what we exactly got. Service by Mr Abhay & his team was warm & impressive. Meeting the affable GM Mr Biswas fetched us the history of the 25 acre property, which we explored all through the day. All though every moment spent here was marvellous I personally will cherish the memories of angling activity at the small pond in the property.
Early morning next day was the real showstopper which should be made mandatory for all guests ;) - Yes the Trek ( category : easy ) across the meandering hills of the property. The soft spoken guide Mr Deepak Talekar deputed for this excursion really impressed us with his knowledge of the rich history & layout of the property. His commendable stamina &. nuanced photographic skills were the icing on the cake. Words cannot describe the delightful drizzle, beautiful landscape, the walk up the trail, naturally green carpeted terrain & table top, the cool deccan monsoon wind kissing our faces and the view from the top. On the way up the sight of deers sprinting across the meandering hills is alluring & a sight to behold.
Once back from the trek we replenished our burnt calories with a super spread of breakfast at the signature private dining area called Jharokha.
Later during the day traditional maratha cusine by chef Vaibhav for lunch has left me salivating even now while my fingers fly on the keyboard.
The Museum was grear, the rest seems and was just accomodation and related for guests there. Structures were great too but that's it. Still worth a trip.
Located just 30 kms from the city of Pune, Maharashtra Fort Jadhavgarh is an outstanding weekend spot. The 350 years old fort is now a nice and well maintained Heritage Hotel under the Orchid Group of Hotels. Start early on your way to Fort Jadhavgarh as the mere 30 Kms from Pune city can take up to 2 hrs to cover, thanks to the really poor road conditions. Use Google maps as it guides you right into the entrance lobby of the Hotel. A ceremonial trumpet welcomes your arrival at the Hotel. The check-in time is 1:00 PM in the afternoon, but can be preponed by an hour with a phone call. An audio tour is available and I recommend that visitors take it right at the beginning. The 27 point tour takes you around the property and helps you set up the corners/ areas that you d like to spend your time. Don t miss the morning trek that s organised by the Hotel. You ll have to be lucky to see the Sunrise and really unlucky not to see deer and foxes during your trek. Carry a pair of trekking shoes and be prepared for light drizzle all along. The balcony in front of the restaurant is my favourite place in the Hotel. Sit. Lounge. Relax. Fort Jadhavgarh will leave you completely detoxified in just 2 days.
The place is fantastic. Can do better in terms of guest relations & customer service. The welcome is grand however once you are inside the property the royal charm goes missing. Overall a good experience but could have been better.
The place is good, however it is overpriced, hospitality and service is really poor. The restaurant manager lies about the availability of the package's inclusion.
Food quality -5 ***** Premium room ( maharaja )- cost too high for services offered . Complained reception 3 times with no positive reply . Manager called when we were checking out ..... This is first time in my life ,left hotel without bathing ...
Bathroom- water problems Flush problem Tap/showers too stiff to handle Surrounding development-4 ****
Friends, this is Jadhavgarh, which has a history of 300 years near Pune. It was transformed into the first Heritage Hotel in Maharashtra in the year 2007. Pawar saheb done .... all the facilities are there, can be married, there is a restaurant, there is a spa, there is accommodation ...
Huge property ...big rooms we stayed in the Royal Tent ...Service is a bit slow...however the stay was very comfortable...Lush green and breezy all the time...
Awesome place to spend your entire day with family or friends... do visit in groups. they have awesome 3 meals and also have cottages and rooms for stay.
A place away from city life. The fort is very well maintained, with its high history and culture to explore. The tour of the fort is the best part - it explains everything in detail abt the fort, flora, fauna and it's surrounding. It gave me chills to explore the dungeon. The fort also has some activities like zip lining, archery.. it has an open lawn where one can play cricket, football, badminton, volleyball. After dark, we had options to play indoor games like carrom, chess n card games. They have a nice swimming pool. Overall our experience in the fort was excellent. We needed a break from city life and we got exactly what we wanted.
We dint have much time to take any spa appointment, but we will definitely try next time
After searching for too many places we finally decided to host the wedding here. It was a 2 days affair. We were attended by Tapan, this guy attended us very professionally initially and we really liked the deal he gave to us. (We started this deal in the month of feb-March and the wedding was in the month of November) When the wedding date was almost one week far we get to know that this guy Tapan (DGM) has quit the job. That means altogether we had to deal with new guy to talk about the wedding events when we had already spoken to Tapan. The new guy was highly unprofessional and arrogant and he had no clue what was promised to us. His name was Sumeet.we had wait for hours just to re confirm the flow of events with him, this guy (Sumeet) and his team was not at all cooperative and it was such a pain in the a** cant describe here I had no other thing then compromising as my guests started showing up. I HAD BOOKED THE HOTEL 6 months before and yet they took another booking on the first day whilst the whole property was promised to us.
As a groom I was supposed to enjoy my events which I couldn't as the staff was constantly behind me for paycheck as if I was going to run out. @2 am (next day was my wedding day mind you) in the morning I was sitting with their staff to make payments(which didn't complete because of their faulty machine) . Mode of payment and payment timings were confirmed with previous SPOC and because of this miscommunication everything was ruined. I am sure the fort management will have their policy etc clear however verbal commitment is something and they should respect it specially when their own personnel promised us things and left in between. I was constantly harrassed , my guests were harassed, me and my wife were on the phone before the "baraat" to attend their unprofessional calls.
If I'm booking the hotel for a full day or two I certainly have the capacity to pay for it, the hotel staff ruined a lot of beautiful moments which were once in a lifetime. Next day after the wedding we checked out and made full payment. I hope the hotel management sees this and makes sure it isn't repeated for any other guest.
PLEASE THINK 10 TIMES BEFORE HOSTING A GRAND EVENT HERE. THEY WILL PROMISE YOU EVERYTHING POSSIBLE AND WILL DELIVER NOTHING I HAD THE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.
Good property. Went there for the breakfast buffet. Pricey (Rs. 590) for the spread. Cards weren't working on the day and no UPI support made it painful to pay for a large group with cash.
Nice peaceful place to stay at. Swimming pool is with neem tree so peaceful. There is an 2 fantastic rooms called Raja & Rani room next to the pool which is the must to stay there.
Failed to deliver good service. I organized my dad's birthday, booked around 21 rooms and inspite of that the staff was not cooperative and was getting frustrated way too easily. It's a beautiful resort but how I wish the staff was more hospitable.
Very nice and historical place for a short vacation of 2 -3 days. Food quality leaves a lot to be desired.... multiple room formats like apartments and tents
Rooms are decent. Opt For a tent room if you want nice view and want to feel secluded. Food quality is not great specially vegetarian food. Food charges are way too high as compared to the quality of food.
