The police are straight up liars and they job is to extort money out of poor people.. the judge is not fair and the staff is very rude all they are doing is taking money some one need to investigate Forrest park police..
Focused more on revenue collection and minor traffic violations than they are at stopping real criminals.
Avoid the hell-hole if you can. Forest Park is a very small city within Atlanta, high in crime, bad police department which reports to Clayton County, which is even worse. Stay away if you have money! Stay away is you're black. Stay away if you're hispanic. They don't like people of color!

Stopped for speeding. 17 over the speeding limit. Asked the officer to check his radar which is my right as a citizen. He declined. Then falsely stated on the ticket that I didn't request the radar check. This a racket for sure.
Warning when turning left on Old Dixie to Forest Parkway you must turn onto the left lane, I did not know this was a law, also if you don't sign the ticket you can be arrested I did not know this. It's a sad day when you get a ticket for not turning into the left lane, I needed to be in the right lane, but a but was in front of me so as the bus driver pulled into the median I went around, for this I thought was my ticket but when I tried to complain the Lieutenant said I turned wrong. Trust no one.
This is for the Clayton Co. area 1 star on there 911 call center, because I had to pick one star to make a comment. My son was having a asthma attack at practice after school, I get a call from my daughter telling me. So I called 911 and the phone ringed 3 or 4 times then a phone message came on talking then after holding for like 10 minutes a live person came on and said oh I need to transfer your call, (smh). So by then the coach had been trying to call as well he finally got somebody out. I know I'm from Florida and when I called 911 no matter were I'm at there 911 phone never ring a live person comes on and they never put you on hold so it's hard for me to understand that here, with being a must bigger state and all.
They were delivering to McLane in the local PD in Forest Park had told us to move treated us like we were stupid asked us if we saw the fire hydrants not given any other place to park to deliver our load and then too busy telling truckers to move and not getting rid of hookers and drug dealers out of the truck stops we have to move our trucks and not be able to park on the street I feel sorry for McLane if their stuff is not going to be able to show up they can honorably blame the local PD for this judging day he's too bored to just go out and go after anybody else he has to pick on the drivers because they're supposedly illegally parked in the middle of the night with all of that heavy Metropolis traffic that everybody seems to complain about on that busy street heaven forbid us do our jobs not to mention very very rude if you're delivering to McLane do not park out on the street if you don't want to get woke up for disturb you while you're waiting to deliver your load on time however unfortunately I hope they don't order anything else because they're going to have to wait for it and I'm not talking about McLane I'm talking about the police department
These are the people who are supposed to serve and protect. Forest Park police department is one of the most racist pds to come in counter with. The first day that I ever spent in Forest Park I was stopped and searched by the K9 unit for a speeding ticket. I was on the phone with both my wife and mother and was told to get the f*** off the phone and get out of the car. Luckily I pulled in front of the gas station where there were cameras, but that still didnt stop them from being out of order and rude. The police; which i have on video, made countless racial slurs towards me and illegally searched both me and my car. Three more cars pulled up and blocked me all for going 47 in a 45. The police searched my car and said that my car is clean boy; that gives us probable cause because its as though your trying to cover up a smell even though the car does not smell like any narcotics. He said that for a black man to be riding that clean was suspicious and that it was a good enough reason to search my car and me. The police walked his dog around the bush where no one could see him, picked up a piece of grass off the ground and tried to say he found it in my car and had to test it; attempting to scare me by saying "you know what this is". Im not dumb so i told him I saw you pick that up off the ground, he said who saw me and you know if this turns blue im going to arrest you.I said well its on camera sir, then he said "you think your smart for pulling over at the gas station huh." That let me know that had I not pulled to the gas station, they would have tried to set me up. They use their badge to abuse the law and the people they are suppose to protect. I took out a police report on the police officer, they dont play with me so why should i play with them, its a 30 minute or less process to write a statement. The chief called me back in less than 24 hours around 9:30 pm and all he ranted about was me handing the tape over to them but it was already with my lawyer. If ever you have the blue lights behind you while in Forest Park, GA make sure to pull to a public place with lots of lights and cameras, have your own camera on you. These people are very very evil and will try their best to end you.
Corruption at its finest. It should be called Little Chicago. They killed my dog after the officer unlawfully opened my door. And lied to cover it up. Knowing he was wrong. Claiming a dog attack... lol but yet the a different dog charged him 2x and he managed to get her in the yard without killing her.
When they do a traffic stop they will block driveways entry ways to shopping centers stores driveways gas station driveways needs to be more professional while doing their job
Horrible Police Department all they want to do is sit around and harassed and give traffic ticket on Jonesboro Road they all Park their cars on Jonesboro Road and sit around waiting instead of going and helping someone in need I'm extremely tired of the harassment you can't drive in peace they're not protecting their neighborhoods they're giving out Petty traffic violations I absolutely hate the police of Forest Park they are just getting out of hand the officers are extremely lazy...FIND SOMETHING BETTER TO DO PLEASE
I must say, I always gave my law enforcers the utmost respect due to their daily duties and responsibilities. In the past, I didn't get it and it was a harrowing experience to hear they were being targeted - fatally for no reason. However, after being pulled over yesterday by Forest Park Police and subjected to subliminal racist attitude - I can honestly say "I Get It". I gave them a one star because the chart doesn't start with "Zero".

One - two days after speaking with the Superiors of these Officers who pulled me over, I was provided one set of roles/responsibilities, what should have been said/done and assurance of an overview. After hearing back from this Overseer who allegedly reviewed my traffic stop ethically ... My assessment: Stay alert, stay alive and stay cautious and record all conversations - if possible Citizens. Being painfully truthful and moral is a difficult task for some of our law enforcers.
Assumptions radiated as if one (me) was trying to skirt the traffic ticket. Dispution over speeding was never my issue - it was the treatment - it was ALWAYS the treatment! (I would be taken to JAIL IF I DIDN'T SIGN THE FORM THAT I WAS SPEEDING - POINT BLANK) In addition, not taking a good citizen's record into consideration before reprimanding. Something I'm sure they would want for themselves and their families. However, they align together be it good, bad or indifferent and they are very proud, immature and motivated about it. All I can do is "Smh" with a smile, sit back, watch and wait for Karma to do its job.
I m a 24 year old Hispanic man, I got arrested for fleeing from the police, when you commit a crime you should be aware that the police officers are not supposed to be gentle to you, but for my first arrest it wasn t a bad experience at all, the officer who arrested me was a really kind man, he never pointed a gun at me even tho he knew i had a gun, EVERY police officer in that department treated me as well as it should be, i have a lot of respect for them, im able to say that none of them acted racist or discriminating to me, i really believe that being a police officer is a really hard job, they see the worst things in this country, they would take a bullet to defend your family from anybody, thanks to every good law enforcement officer for your service.
These people are the definition of RACISM. If you re Hispanic, they will stop you on the basis of speeding, but all they re doing is trying to take you on the basis of driving without a license. Basically, stay away from Forest Park or if you see a cop, and you re Hispanic, you will be pulled over. Citizen or not, if you look Hispanic, you will get pulled over.
From my experience with dealing with majority of police officers there s not too many people that say very nice things about them but just to be honest we were unlawfully approached by police officers based on the fact that we were in a park past it s opening hours in the park did not display any hours at its location
Judge was fair. Employees were ignorant as usual. Officers in courtroom were quiet and chill. Overall my case was dismissed so I'm chill
Very aggressive officer that wanted to complicate things making a genuine person look like a disgrace of a person and trying to make a person feel bad by also not answering the questions based on what my rights are and what am I able to do by also intimidating me and giving me ultimatums based upon his benefits. I'm appalled and realize why police have issues with being trusted.
These reviews are so bad. Hopefully Forest Park police will be investigated very soon.
Traffic stop on Jonesboro Rd, showed the cop that you do not have to have a helmet on a slingshot under law and Lake City cop pulled up and he stated you do not have to have a helmet but FL wrote a citation anyway. Morrow officer I talked to confirmed you are not required to wear a helmet by law so why do my husband and myself have to go to court now for these two tickets. Way to go FP, waste everyone s time on this matter.
I had a car impounded & I wanted to know ahead of time what the prerequisites were for getting a release form to take to the impound to retrieve my vehicle... So, I call the Forest Park police department on a Saturday and they tell me, "The...PERSON...who handles release forms won't be be back until Monday 8am, you'll have to call back then.".... I asked, "Okay, but there's no information at all that ANYone can give me regarding what documentation I may need as well as how much (if anything) it will cost?... She answered, "No sir, you will HAVE TO CALL BACK!... So is this PERSON making up prices & rules as she goes along or what? NOBODY knows but this ONE person knows the requirements of getting a release form for an impounded vehicle?... It's not like I'm the 1st one to ask. I think this is pathetic... And I'm NOT a complainer.
Update: To be fair, a gentleman who works for the Forest Park Police Department called me later this same day & said, "I'm calling because I understand you had some questions regarding release forms for an impounded vehicle?"... I was NOT expecting a call at all... But the gentleman thoroughly informed me of what was needed/expected in order to get a release form to retrieve my impounded vehicle. I was VERY grateful for the call. (Rating from 1 star to 3)
Extremely aggressive. Tried to violate my rights and told me I couldn't take pictures in public. They have videos all over YouTube of them violating citizens rights. It's insane.
The detective division there is a JOKE!! I was robbed at gunpoint at my own front door and the detective on my case has been nothing but cruel since it happened. I have to contact her for updates on my case, she NEVER contacts me first! I don t hear from her for MONTHS while I continue to live with the trauma of being robbed. Detective Zachary even hung up the phone on me while I was talking!! These people are supposed to protect and serve but do nothing but take tax dollars to sit around and do nothing for innocent victims!
Update: I called today after a month of unanswered messages and was told that my case is no longer active or under investigation! So thanks Forest Park Police Department and Detective Zachary for the absolute NOTHING you have done to give me the justice I deserve. I can only hope that if it happens to one of your loved ones, you ll have a better attitude about a victim s longing for justice.
