Always give forbidden planet a look if you are nearby, it has something for everyone. I always browse the Dungeons and Dragons books and Munchkin expansion packs. They have clothing and figures on offer on the top floor which are always worth looking at.

My favourite place in London. Much merchandise just like figures, caps and wands, but also many books, comics and manga. Absolutely fantastic.

Forbidden planet is amazing. It's filled with super merchandise for fans of practically anything. It's a really great shop- plus they also have events going on there weekly which are really great to check out too

Staff were very friendly (and funny) and helped me find things I didn't even notice before. However some of the items from the same show were spread out through the store making it harder to find them, nevertheless I still found what i was looking for and enjoyed looking around.

Paradise nerd, but much better for those who enjoy books, comics and rpg.

The ground floor felt a bit like any other pop culture store but once you get down stairs it's awesome! Their range of board games, books and comics is really really worth seeing.

Has a large variety collectables, toys, clothing, pushes, books and comics. Can be pricey and you can spend ages looking at everything there.

A gold mine for fans of comics and others ... It's hard to leave without having found something that did not make us crack: D

Wonderful shop with wonderful staff! Huge range of nerdy goodies on display, though some of it can be a tad expensive. Generally Forbidden Planet is the best place to buy manga from, as they have the 'buy 2, get the 3rd free' deal on. This beats even Amazon most of the time.

Everything can be found at a good price, you wanna stay there for hours.

Wonderful store full of things I want to spend money on, so very dangerous on your wallet. Staff are also very friendly and helpful. We asked a question about stock of a book and were helped very quickly, especially for a Saturday.

2 floors full of action figures, merchandising in general and comics of all kinds. Necessary place to visit if you like all that universe.

It is a good store, a lot of comics and also they got some good Star Wars figures. I dont like the place when it is packed upstairs and downstairs. One thing they can improve on the mens t shirt sizes to the size 5xl because it isnt always about skinny people there are big people out there to you know.

Geek central in London... If you want comics /memorabilia this is the place for you

Spread over two floors, the shop offers a lot to marvel at. Prices are fair and open for a long time. Very nice.

An awesome shop for all things comic book or film! Can get pretty crowded in there in the afternoon and on weekends, so if you want a more chilled out experience on a weekday before lunch!

Lots of comics and pop culture merchandise. A bit tourist-y so it wouldn't be my first port of call.

Although I really liked the store, I lacked certain things.

The perfect spot for a geek like me to check out all my fav sci-fi, fantasy etc tv and movie memorabilia. The icing on the cake however, is the fairly large and very well stocked book shop carrying a wide variety of books and manga from both well-known and not so well-known authors.

A must see for any sci fi enthusiast. The basement is a treasure trove of books and comics. You will not be disappointed.

My kids absolutely loved it. They have everything from memorabilia to merchandise to gift ideas from every film or TV franchise you can think of for every age group. Can get really busy. We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was really busy. Layout of the store can be better but considering the size of the store, they've made the most of every little bit of space available to them. The staff are friendly and seem happy to be there. Location a little out of the way. But not that far out. Highly recommend to all the film and TV buffs visiting London.

I always enjoy visiting the forbidden planet store in central London. They have a large range of sci-fi books and manga/anime as well as comics and a whole lot more. I personally don't know of a place in the UK that offers so much of a selection.

Funko's all the way! Really love the basement that's full of comics and tpb's, so every collector can find what they want. Pricewise it's not the cheapest, but there are discounts all the time, so that makes FP one of the best places all-around.

Always have a new author that I'm curious to read! They have designed a 1 way system in their store, so you will have to go round the back to enter.

If you like nerdy tat or a great selection of art books this is one of the best places in London

Visiting from the States, North Carolina, fantastic selection. The graphic novels downstairs was better than any selection I've ever seen in any American book store or comic store.
